I wouldn't really characterize Tom's team building here as "pushing you."
If you think he's a wolf do you think he's bussing LnGrrr or is LnGrrr town?
Also... you think he's "roughly approaching the edge of his scum range"? Holy caveats Batman! I'm about as uncertain a player as you will find, a lot of the time, but it sounds like you don't even think he's actually in his wolf range yet when you put it like that. So... why the vote if that's the case?
I thought the reason for the extension was to wait for lngrrs fakeclaim, not to do stuff...
You know, I figured that was the case, so why has no one asked
ModKilljoy, did LnG say when his V/LA was over??
I thought of that last night but forgot to highlight it. If LnG told KJ that he was V/LA through tomorrow, then...either we shrug lynch him or we CCFD onto someone else.
Also, Tom, from your lack of clarification, I want to assume you're just making stuff up about me and Grape. True/not true?

Lololol, you do realize the "he" that Grape's referencing is YOU, right?
@Cantrip: Actually no, thought he was talking about tom otherwise I wouldn't have references his vote... also you still haven't connected the dots between "being a hypocrite for complaining about no one doing anything while also not doing anything" and "is a wolf" for the rest of the class.
Point about Grape ~stands because that is such an incredibly qualified statement but it isn't quite as bad as I thought since he isn't talking about tom.
@Grape: to be clear you thought I was inside of my wolf range while top posting but it would difficult, though not impossible, for me to make the posts I made to Chris as a wolf?
Also it looks like LnGrrr's V/LA is of unknown duration, going by the edit to the player list in the first post. Odds are he won't be back by EoD but perhaps I'll be pleasantly surprised.
Hm I’m itching to vote Cantrip now for that “I like where my vote is” statement after “catching” Silver on a misunderstanding.
But deadline is soon (how many hours?) and we should really consolidate.
For me: willing to lynch Grape > Lngr = Cantrip >> Vaimes.
I will not vote Chris, Shadow, Silver, tom, Wisp.
I will only vote tubba or Will to have a lynch, but rather not.

I...don't think that that's what I'm voting you for? Initial vote was a gut reaction to your post, but it took me a bit to figure out why it bugged me so much.
That's probably where my feelings of disconnect come in. You have said you don't care, but you're doing the whole wink-wink-nudge-nudge-join-me-on-Grape thing, encouraging movement, in a specific direction, while being vocal about being mostly indifferent.
I'm voting you for feeling sneaky in side-eye encouraging a wagon on Grape.

Why does it not being Tom make it better?
Silver, would you say you're generally a lazy player or a not lazy player, and are you more lazy as one alignment over the other?
Rhand, I want to clarify something you said, but can't yet. I'll get back to you.
Wednesday at 0000 PDT is 0300 my time, which is in 15 hours ish. Might be off by 24 hours though, is why I usually specify 23:59:59 on the day end so there's no confusion lol.
Anyway, I'm at like LnGrrr > Grape = Cantrip = Rhand
Probably not voting Vaimes or shadow but I won't actively resist wagons on them.
Do not want to lunch Wisp, Tubba, Will, Chris, Tom toDay.
@Cantrip: Yeah I seem to have missed a bunch of posts at the bottom of the last page lol.
I don't feel like I was being particularly sneaky by saying I felt lonely on Grape after other people said they wanted to lunch him, I guess.
As far as like, pushing the wagons, yeah, I wanted to see some vote movement since we're apparently not doing anything else. I don't care about whether Grape specifically gets lunched but it's weird that a few people were side eyeing him but wouldn't vote him when I tried to shift the wagons, innit?
Re: laziness, I'm probably less lazy as town but more careful as a wolf overall. If that makes sense. As town I'll put the effort in to find wolves or try to shift the wagons but my posts are a bit more off the cuff and more likely to make mistakes. Also my D1 game is just lazy in general because I need flips to feel like I'm doing anything useful, it:s all just speculation without hard data.
@grapefruit
Can you link me to the posts that give you that vibe?
If this is for me, no, I'm not quote morning on mobile lol. Maybe tomorrow. But if you iso him it's like his last six or seven posts, the echoing thing I talked about is the big one but his other recent posts feel sliiightly off to me.

Somewhat, I guess. I didn't notice it as much, probably because I don't think Grape's a wolf? It just felt off to me that you'd be like "hey guys let's DO something, and by SOMETHING I mean vote grape with me." Meh.

This was pretty much what I was getting at/looking for. I was like, why would Silver take the time to attack Grape without actually understanding what/who Grape was referencing (oh and it's doubly funny because Grape's referencing Silver himself), but you did very close to the same thing in 736, knee-jerk responding without really taking the time to read Wisp's post. And I also am generally more careful when I'm scum...
Point about Grape ~stands because that is such an incredibly qualified statement but it isn't quite as bad as I thought since he isn't talking about tom.
Lastwhisper, it hasn't been that long since you made this post, along with the subsequent "I meant V/V" posts. If you hadn't claimed self-resolving, I'd have already been pressuring you for making this kind of post (where, if I'm reading correctly, you go out of your way to paint Grape as likely town no matter Shin's alignment, then say you're not going to to out of your way to defend the slot). You don't remember that series of posts?
@Cantrip: When I thought he was talking about Tom it felt like he was saying tom wasn't in his wolf range but was getting close to it and that was he voted him. Like he wasn't quite in it yet but was close or something.
Re: the Grape wagon, I didn't really have a list. Rhand definitely wanted one and I think Wisp said something about it, tom had him as a likely wolf with LnGrrr. Mainly wanted to see who was actually interested and who was blowing smoke but it seemed like no one was really interested since there wasn't any movement until I specifically said that's what I was doing.
Part of this disconnect is probably that I'm not really using any of the info I'm collecting to solve right now, but it kind of hinges around Grape's actual alignment. I need more info to actually ~do anything~ with it. If the people pushing him but not voting are all villagers he might just be town, if Rhand's a wolf he's probably town, tom and Wisp are maybe partners for just saying he can be a wolf but not actually doing anything with that opinion, etc. And if he flips first and he's town that doesn't tell me a ton but if he's a wolf Wisp and tom can be partners and Rhand is probably clear.
D1 is for creating data points, not for solving the game IMO. Once I get a couple of flips I can look back at the data points and connect the dots but until then it's basically all speculative.
@Cantrip: When I thought he was talking about Tom it felt like he was saying tom wasn't in his wolf range but was getting close to it and that was he voted him. Like he wasn't quite in it yet but was close or something.
This...doesn't really ring true based on how you phrased it in 757, but your responses in general feel more town than scum, and I'm sorta losing my oomph. :/

Agreed, but scum can be sussed D1, and it's obviously optimal to try.
Why did you say "Wolf!tom probably just allows whatever lunch to happen unless his team is like, exactly grape/Rhand or something" in 664 when Tom had just identified LnG/Grape/Cantrip or LnG/Grape/Vaimes likely scum teams? (Specifically, why would wolf!Tom with buddies Grape and Rhand post (breaking roleplay, to boot) pushing those worlds?)
KoolKoal: Feel free to take this with a grain of salt since self meta isn't particularly helpful, but I think I get scumread mostly for style over substance, but also for a certain lack of substance over style. It's not so much what I AM posting most of the time (though sometimes that can seem bad) but what I'm NOT posting. I've been told I come to non-obvious conclusions a lot, so when I post, quite a bit of the time there's jumps in logic that people can't follow and they think that's scummy. I get that accusation about a lot of questions I ask specifically. People call them "busy work" when the questions are legit etc.
As far as things to ignore, I can't think of anything. I would suggest you focus less on what I'm doing and more on how I'm doing it. That's probably more likely to be accurate. Like I've just said, what I do tends to come off a little weird, but if you look for how I do it, mindset comes into play and maybe you figure out something useful.

@Cantrip: Actually no, thought he was talking about tom otherwise I wouldn't have references his vote... also you still haven't connected the dots between "being a hypocrite for complaining about no one doing anything while also not doing anything" and "is a wolf" for the rest of the class.

@Grape: to be clear you thought I was inside of my wolf range while top posting but it would difficult, though not impossible, for me to make the posts I made to Chris as a wolf?
I’ll field this one if I may, from my perspective.
It’s not about any hypocrisy, for me it’s about not taking a personal stake. You want a lynch, almost any lynch, but it seems like you don’t want to have any personal responsibility for it. That’s a scummy mindset in my view. It leaves you open to “Aw shucks, fellow townies, I guess that really wasn’t a hit... I mean I did say I wasn’t very sure etc....”
Sad to see Will go; I thought he had a lot of potential.
But Hi, Rod! *waves* I will not be surprised if your slot is town. You have like...13 hours to form complex reads, revolutionize the thread, and nail scum. No sweat, right?
Tubba, prior to Silver suggesting we CCFD onto Grape, why was he scummy to you? I know you were discussing the whole "if he's town, why aren't scum piling on him" thing when Chris was pressuring him; was there more than that?
I also read Lng's ISO, and I'm not opposed to their lunch. I'd like to hear from them, so I'm not voting yet, but I think there's a fair chance that they're scum. I also think that if they flip scum, Tom needs pressure/scrutiny, as Lng seems overly focused on Tom this game, but not to attack him, rather just feeling the need to mention him. Guess it could be an intentionally false association, but... eh, only matters if LnG flips scum.
@Cantrip: If you're going for the sweep, sure, lunching a wolf is always optimal, but at this point in my career I'm not actually sure lunching a wolf on D1 gives you overall better odds of winning the game I've been part of many, many villages who lunched a wolf who went into antispew early and their associatives were so completely muddied because they had very few posts and already knew their lunch was inevitable that the game became almost impossible to solve.
That isn't to say that lunching villagers is "good," obviously optimal play is to chain lunch all the wolves back to back, but lunching someone who might be a villager who can't clear themselves and whose alignment you need to solve the game isn't something to be afraid of doing.
We probably agree more than disagree here though. Obviously if I see/catch something I feel is strongly AI on D1 I'll try to push/vote that it just doesn't happen often.
Wolf!tom doesn't need to hard push the LnGrrr wagon, it's pretty much inevitable right now so the only reason to try to drive it home is if one or both of his partners are next on the block.
@Tubba: Except that's just how I play D1 lol. Maybe it's wolfy in a vacuum or whatever but I'm not super concerned with getting a wolf on D1, I'm more concerned with generating data points to read back to later. I just don't usually have a lot of strong opinions this early in the game.
How do you intend to differentiate between wolves trying to avoid responsibility and villagers who don't want to no lunch and will therefore vote players they don't really think are wolves?
Honestly? Fun. Wolf Chris at his height just does things and wins. I leave the questions to the scholars.
Also it is interesting you invoked me "tunneling" you when... I've been voting you for four hours. It feels like your words often give off a "pfft, I am invincible" but the way you slip sometimes and think of me as tunneling when I've only been poking you for a total of like four hours... you feel pressure but you are trying your best not to show it.
I think I got you Silver. I've voted a variety of players today, been giving thoughts on almost everyone, but after four hours I've got you accusing me of tunneling. Oh boy this should be fun.
So i just skipped from page 2 to page 11 just to see if i can skim some future things and such and i came across.. this gem.
WolfChris isn't that confident in himself. Nor does he think he is good at mafia.. soooo..
vote Sir Chris

Oh dang it! I just realized I should have responded to silver with an obi wan “hello there”
/missed opportunities
I feel like I want to ask Ruma why exactly he liked Cantrip’s entrance, and then he’ll never answer and I’ll get frustrated, so I’m just not gonna.
Silver, when was the last game we played together (that you finished) and have you actually had a real scum game yet? I feel like you have but I can’t remember and I don’t feel like digging.
Wait.. shadow.. did you just.. give youself an out on the supicious ***** Ruma pulled? That doesn't sound like you at allllll
@Silver did you get that eve was an unfortunate autocorrect from RVS? That "fix" slide right past me... Anyway I'm not sure my laziness should be seen as AI.
Shin insisting he ignores RVS jokes while engaging on my Cantrip RVS is a thing. Probably not a relevant one though.
I for one am happy tom is roleplaying. It makes him easier to read.
I agree with Grape here on the fact Shin is a thing at this point. BUT For him to say tom is easier to read whilst roleplaying is not something i agree with. Tom is hard to read in any form. He's best read in the late game.
I have always had an uncanny ability to know Rhand's alignment, and I got a twinge of scum from the reasoning behind his Grapefuit vote - something a bit off about the tone - so I am going to have some fun with Rhand for a bit while Tom makes spider noises or something.
Tubba what would convince you that rb/jk is scum?
I don't see any tone from the Grape vote and i think this is an overly justified, ass-knowledge of a vote. In fact i see it as specificaly toneless and you are putting a negative tone on it YOURSELF.

Mostly it was a “Greetings, fellow townies” vibe that I was getting from a lot of his posts. His count is high, but I don’t feel like he believes what he’s saying. I’m not saying that I think he should “know” anything day one, but it seems like he wants to look involved without taking any responsibility for what happens.
did you read GoT Scumchat? He was constantly doubting himself. Like allll the time. No way he thinks he's a good wolf. Lynch the liar!
Actually, I haven't. I started to, but I've had a few other things to tend to.
So...if I tell you that Chris has oozed confidence this game...does that make you think he's scum more...or less?
That... makes me a little more weary of you tbh. How has he OOOOOZED confidence? i'm just saying wolfChris has no belief in himself whatsoever but that is also behind the scenes.
lemme take a break real quick and start off in an hour on page 3. this is a little much to catch up on. as you can see also, his responce to Rhand on page 2 was a little suspicious.

Tom is right though: the reason I asked that extension is to give Lngrr time to come and claim.
Which he apparently isn’t going to do.
Will switch back to Lngrr if Grape doesn’t get enough support.
No interest in lynching Silver / tom toDay.
@Grape: do you think that that open wolfing statement is going to get a tom wagon going?
@Tom sort of? Mostly because you seem to be pushing me for reasons extremely disconnected from reality based on team building that doesn't make work.
@Cantrip his conversation with Chris. It doesn't clear him but that's roughly approaching the edge of his scum range.
If you think he's a wolf do you think he's bussing LnGrrr or is LnGrrr town?

I'll be able to read everything I missed on Wednesday. If I don't, please kill me. That depends on who's voting for him! And whether I think the wagon is clean or not.

Yes, I had blanked on making that post; it was a mild association, not terribly strong, and very dependent on one of you flipping scum.
Thanks for answering half my question; where did you see Grape tie Chris to LnG's flip?
Before i continue my wall post, I need a clear answer on this Riku:
Do you think shadow is scum at this point?
LastWhisper replaced Ruma a while ago, so no one has any idea what he was doing in those posts.
For what it's worth I thought Ruma was a wolf based on them but you'll get there soon, I'm sure.
I neither town read nor scum read shadow at this point
that is my answer as of current
also nice derp
So i just skipped from page 2 to page 11 just to see if i can skim some future things and such and i came across.. this gem.
WolfChris isn't that confident in himself. Nor does he think he is good at mafia.. soooo..
vote Sir Chris
More later.
Ah yes, the replacement of suspect number 1 in the early game.
Why do you have the urge to vote me?
why must you resist it?
Serious questions.
what is the exact point of this, Silver? I like to call this "fluff" and really pegs me as "trying to sound town"
Says Cantrip is scum. Doesn't vote cantrip.
and that is a huge 180. Straight up says cantrip is scum and then just accpets cantrip is not scum.
Why did you specifically target Cantrip in this weird ploy?
Wait.. shadow.. did you just.. give youself an out on the supicious ***** Ruma pulled? That doesn't sound like you at allllll

To be fair the game did just start
You expect to much it seems.
Where was the roleplay, i am confused?
Why are you lieing to me.
Hey Riku, shadow wants to know what you liked about Cantrip entrnace.
@shadowlancerX I got you bro[/quote]
okay i laughed. Like hard. I like Shin.
okay so at this point i realize Last Whisper is RikuSlot.
I agree with Grape here on the fact Shin is a thing at this point. BUT For him to say tom is easier to read whilst roleplaying is not something i agree with. Tom is hard to read in any form. He's best read in the late game.
Rhand i like you.
I don't see any tone from the Grape vote and i think this is an overly justified, ass-knowledge of a vote. In fact i see it as specificaly toneless and you are putting a negative tone on it YOURSELF.
did you read GoT Scumchat? He was constantly doubting himself. Like allll the time. No way he thinks he's a good wolf. Lynch the liar!
I got impatient.
Reading things is hard when you have A.D.H.D
Mostly it was a “Greetings, fellow townies” vibe that I was getting from a lot of his posts. His count is high, but I don’t feel like he believes what he’s saying. I’m not saying that I think he should “know” anything day one, but it seems like he wants to look involved without taking any responsibility for what happens.
