I really don’t think lynching x=y toDay is a good idea.
And neither is no lynching.
vote Kami
Getting convinced Vaimes is scum. But too late for that toDay :/
Still disagree. It looks like Vaimes is just pushing his alt wincon.
He most certainly is. What do you make of the fact I previously pointed out that he poo-poo'd people going for their alt wincons and then on the same page when he found out his alt wincon that he had secured was no longer secured he abandoned his vote in favor of his alt wincon.
What I meant was prioritizing the alt wincons /over/ the mafia one.
Even if Kami is scum, letting him live long enough to be king isn’t going to lose the game. It’s Day 2.

It could be a thing, but unless Vaimes vastly improved his scumgame since last game, he's a different person this game.
BTW Tom or Shin: This only works if one of you vote him too. There needs to be two of us on him.
KoolKoal: Feel free to take this with a grain of salt since self meta isn't particularly helpful, but I think I get scumread mostly for style over substance, but also for a certain lack of substance over style. It's not so much what I AM posting most of the time (though sometimes that can seem bad) but what I'm NOT posting. I've been told I come to non-obvious conclusions a lot, so when I post, quite a bit of the time there's jumps in logic that people can't follow and they think that's scummy. I get that accusation about a lot of questions I ask specifically. People call them "busy work" when the questions are legit etc.
As far as things to ignore, I can't think of anything. I would suggest you focus less on what I'm doing and more on how I'm doing it. That's probably more likely to be accurate. Like I've just said, what I do tends to come off a little weird, but if you look for how I do it, mindset comes into play and maybe you figure out something useful.

I don't know if there is an explicit mechanical reason to disrupt it, but it could be argued you will be less likely to put in as high of an effort the rest of the game if you know you have already won. If I think you are town and want you to give it your all or if I were scum and you are scum with me, that could be incentive. Not saying I believe you personally would do that, but when someone is deciding whether to make that last ISO for a case they want to make or go to bed at midnight the day before a deadline...it could be factor if you already have a "win" secured. Depends on the person I suppose and how they view the alt wincons. Also the flavor - this is a specialty game with a cool as theme that has already played out somewhat the way I'm sure shadow was hoping for and if I can say **** you to an opposing faction while still progressing the game towards my wincons I'm for sure going to in the spirit of the flavor of the game.
Also, I don't want the lynch on the counter wagon to Kami to happen because I don't believe it's a good lynch and it makes my alt wincons harder.
And giving me the throne both helps my alt wincons and unlocks an ability for me.
Why can't tubba be scum with his ability? So scum can guarantee they get the throne once in the first half of the game? Doesn't sound too gamebreaking. Especially considering it's public knowledge who gets the throne. Scum can already sort of force a member onto the throne as long as one of them is reasonably towny and can get a couple town votes.

Scum granting a doublevote to scum is unlikely to be scum usually. Unless he's lying about who he can target with it, which is possible. It's a more likely town than scum deal instead of a for sure town thing.

The double vote isn't as big of a deal though considering that ability goes away after the player total gets to < 50%
And what's the worst possible thing that could happen if one of their abilities is guaranteed to go through? It's basically like having a one-shot strongman or ninja, no?
I'm not saying use your ability on me. I actually only want the throne that day. having ezxtra votes doesn't help me achieve either alt wincon and it grants added responsibility for me to be a competent townie which I'd prefer to continue sucking without losing us the game tyvm

My dream for this game: we end up with a combination of house and/or alignment wins that results in every player individually winning.
IDeally but is that even possible?
I would be a little surprised if it's not possible. I'm sure it's difficult, though.
Observation: people arguing about house conditions, uncertain of alliances even within a theoretically unified group (is my housemate scum? this person is probably town, but are they against my faction?) etc is playing out very appropriately to the theme of the game. I love it.

Exactly. I think I said as much in like my first or second post of the game.

Even if Kami is scum, letting him live long enough to be king isn’t going to lose the game. It’s Day 2.
BTW Tom or Shin: This only works if one of you vote him too. There needs to be two of us on him.
I know some people need to kill them but that doesn’t mean we can’t just take our win and let things go on as normal.
Club Flamingo Wins: 1!
Pretty easy and literally harmless, since only Kami has a secret throne ability.
X=Y has the dragon dayvig, RE called Cantrip town... what else?
Club Flamingo Wins: 1!
Vote me for the throne and I'll unvote. I wanna see what my ability is, and you need to be throned for non-consecutive days.
I'm thinknig maybe GJ for CFD in that case.
RE thinks Cantrip is scum at last check.

I play mafia for mafia.
I don’t really know how to feel about you insinuating that I just...wouldn’t try to win the main wincon, the whole point of the game.
Unvote, Vote GJ
That just seems like a little much to me, a guaranteed shot like that.
Eh. No me gusta, and it’s not even my choice, really.

You got it.
Kami, however, is quite fine

Hes even locker town if kami flips scum btw

Sorry but there needs to be two of us for this to count.
