@Shadow: I explained that in the post where I analysed the missions.
You rules him out for 3.1 (the proposal you made) which was almost guaranteed not to go through cause of the guilty last claimed on you. So the yes vote there seems to me to be complete wine, do you disagree?

No I didn’t. I ruled out KJ for 3.3 because he was on mission with LW and there was only one fail.
I'm in some trouble at work (partially my fault, but partially not, thankfully), even after spending most the weekend working on the problem. If I can't get it fixed by today, I'll replace out, much to my dismay.
@Wisp: Why are you asking me why I dummied Shadow? When I put my team together, he was my "well, I don't want to add anyone else to this team".
LnG's proposal doesn't have me on it, which means it will fail, so I'm rejecting the mission. I basically have two possible worlds,
More analysis to come if I can get my work stuff resolved. Sorry I suck.
@Rhand: Gotcha. Do you see no ways that there could be secret communicating happening?
How would that work? Scum never had a chance to chat, right? If they want secret communication, they have to somehow let each other know in thread how they would do that.
I think I would be smart enough to catch that kind of talk.
Is there any post between LW and KJ that makes you think that they agreed on who was going to fail?
@Rhand: there are lots of posts that could be nods at things, ie lng’s post telling people to go ahead and decline it, now we have 7 no’s and no real data for 5.1 whatsoever.

I am ok with punting this mission vote analysis if it gives us 72 more hours to discuss.
@Riku, all it takes is 1 robber to think it is a good mission for us to lose. We have three more good opportunities for teams. And if you think I am an informant, then why am I deliberately tanking my own choices?

I am also called Riku. I tend to prefer being called riku.
I mean Grr made the correct team choice? outside not taking Rhand over shadow which should be confirmed scum if he believes I am real
I am more inclined to take the same team because there is only one scum between grr/shadow, and everyone else is town... its better this way because if we keep hedging on everything we will never get a mission through, and this way, you gamble everything on me
@Rhand: there are lots of posts that could be nods at things, ie lng’s post telling people to go ahead and decline it, now we have 7 no’s and no real data for 5.1 whatsoever.
We were talking about KJ, not Lngr?
Yeah, I was just using that as an example.
What do you make of 1.2 being all town in a Last/Cantrip/Ruma world?

What are you trying to say with the hooded? I’m not following at all.
@Riku, all it takes is 1 robber to think it is a good mission for us to lose. We have three more good opportunities for teams. And if you think I am an informant, then why am I deliberately tanking my own choices?
Are you scum dude?
you can't think he is scum if you believe I am town...
my point is that from his PoV, his team should have been KJ/Wisp/Grr/Riku/Rhand, and not you over Rhand
Youre going to have to explain that logic to me. By including you and Rhand, that guarantees one scum bettweem the two of you, there’s no world where taking both and dummying between you is better than leaving one of you off and dummying based on how the votes come down.
@Shadow
what would you propose as of right now, if you were the leader?
I want vote data for a couple more quests frankly, but if I had to propose right now, I would either do the same quest, or flip you for Rhand. Mostly, if you passed mission 2 as scum and I let you get away with it, I would never let myself live that down.
But probably would still just take you and hope I was right.
@Riku, all it takes is 1 robber to think it is a good mission for us to lose. We have three more good opportunities for teams. And if you think I am an informant, then why am I deliberately tanking my own choices?

If there is one informant on the team, which there probably is, all 3 informants will likely vote for it. Just 1 more robber vote makes it 4 for, 3 against.
• Wisp is town, Rhand is scum, Shadow is town, Riku is town.
• Wisp is scum, Rhand is town, Shadow is very likely town because otherwise all three scum were on 4.2 and Shadow miraculously chose to pass when his buddies chose to fail, Riku is unknown.
Still think town!Wisp is highly likely. In that world, town is me/Wisp/Shadow/Riku, and scum is Rhand, LnG, and KJ. Someone who has time: tell me why that scum team doesn't work or is unlikely.
I am not scum, for one thing. Besides the goofy communication theory, why would mission 2 pass with me, KJ and Rhand on it? You dont think we wouldve voted it down if we were all informants?
I didn't think I would have to specify that I'm looking for responses from my town block. Obviously you, Rhand, and KJ are going to say that it doesn't work because you're town.

One of the difficult parts of this game is deciding who passes and who fails if multiple scum go on a mission together. Especially on an early mission where you didn't control the dummy, I could see all three of you being hesitant to fail (because three fails would be disastrous), and simply deciding to take the town cred and use it to demolish subsequent missions.
Quote from LnG »
Tell me why Shadow is town in both your worlds.
In the first world, if Wisp is town, then Rhand is scum. Rhand wasn't on mission 4.2, but there were two fails and I dummied Shadow, which means that the team is Rhand + 2 of you/KJ/Wisp (but again, Wisp is town, so it's you and KJ).
In the second world, Wisp framed Rhand, so Wisp is scum, and Rhand is town. But Shadow passed as the dummy and there were still two fails on 4.2, so that would mean that all three scum were on 4.2. That in itself isn't horribly unlikely, but Shadow just happens to be the scum who plays it safe and votes pass while his buddies vote fail...on a mission that if only one of them voted fail they would lose? Possible, but I think it's unlikely. Slightly more likely if Shadow suspected I was going to dummy him, but... I think Shadow is simply town.
Ok, with a little time to look over the missions:
1.1 I propose Cantrip, LnG, and Wisp. LnG and Rhand approve, KJ rejects, no conflict with my World1 scumteam. 1.2 LnG proposes....my W1 scumteam. That's a little problematic, I guess. I mean, LnG could have proposed it with intent to have the whole team pass and set them up for future missions, but the standard of a passed mission is "send that mission again with +1", so at some point down the line they would have had to deal with "who fails so that we don't out our whole team". I suppose LnG could have proposed it expecting it to fail, with the benefit of being able to point to this mission and say "why would I propose my whole scumteam", but then why wouldn't he have mentioned that when I asked players to poke holes in my W1 team? That...gives me pause. 2.1 Wisp proposes KJ, Lng, Rhand, Wisp. LnG and KJ vote yes, Rhand votes no, mission passes, but I explain why that's a possibility above. 3.1 Rhand proposes Rhand, LnGrrrR, KJ, Cantrip. LnG and Rhand vote yes, KJ votes no. Rhand is under suspicion now, though, so it makes a little more sense for him to propose his whole team, knowing that it's almost certain to be rejected. 3.2 KJ proposes KJ, LnGrrrR, Wisp, Riku. LnG votes yes, KJ and Rhand vote no. This actually doesn't make sense to me. If KJ is scum with LnG, then he could have easily dummied LnG, failed the mission, said he dummied someone else, sowed distrust and confusion, etc. I need to reread why he finally decided to reject. 3.3 Shadow proposes KJ, Wisp, LnG, Rhand. KJ and Rhand vote yes, LnG didn't vote. Again, feels odd that Rhand and KJ would approve knowing that even if Shadow dummied one of them, there'd still be two with confirmed votes, and--again--if none of them fail the mission, they lose. I don't think we get pass/pass/fail in this mission with my W1 scumteam without some really solid communication. 4.1 Riku proposes Riku, Killjoy, Lngrrr, Cantrip and Wisp. KJ, LnG, and Rhand all vote no. That makes a little more sense, maybe, as they need two fails and only two of them are on the mission, so a successful dummy ends the game, but then there's... 4.2 I propose Cantrip, Wisp, LnG, Killjoy, and Shadow. Same number of W1 scum on the mission, and LnG and Rhand both approve. So unless they were REALLY afraid that Riku would successfully dummy KJ or LnG on 4.1 and I *wouldn't* dummy either of KJ or LnG on 4.2, that doesn't make any sense whatsoever.
Carp. The easy world doesn't really make sense. Unless, I guess, LnG proposed his team in 1.2 expecting it to fail and they've had to ride that out this whole time, which would be hilarious, but then there are several voting choices that really don't make sense.
Wisp, this makes me think it more likely that you really did frame Rhand in 2.1. What am I missing in my musings above that makes a scumteam of KJ/Rhand/LnG make sense?
Gun to my head team is Cantrip/Rhand/Lng or last/Cantrip/KJ. If we had an actual vote breakdown in 5.1 I might have a better idea, but we don’t. (Yes I’m still bitter about that)
Gun to my head team is Cantrip/Rhand/Lng or last/Cantrip/KJ. If we had an actual vote breakdown in 5.1 I might have a better idea, but we don’t. (Yes I’m still bitter about that)
I want to figure out why everyone voted no
Rhand and Riku are scum/town
Grr/Rhand/KJ
Highly Unlikely
Grr/Rhand/Cantrip
more likely then above and below, but like Grr's overall posts don't show any malice, like call it a gut feeling
KJ/Rhand/Cantrip
could be, but I don't see why KJ flips on me after mission 4 fails? doesn't even need to do that if he's a wolf, and his line of thinking was so one-dimensional. Also, he didn't want to humor mission 3.1 as the same as 2.2 which passed, which makes it unlikely that he and Rhand are aligned
Shadow/Rhand/Cantrip
at this point this would be where I want to be... but I can't get over Rhand's interactions with Shadow throughout the game.
@Cantrip
you can call me a liar, doesn't matter, you are like scum in every world, I will take that to the bank
I'm not about to spend more time convincing any of y'all that I am town, it is not my job
exactly what are you even asking me?
Can't give you my gun-to-head scum team yet, trying to sort LnG/KJ/Riku. Right now I'm at:
Scum: Wisp, 2 of LnG/KJ/Riku
Town: Me, Rhand, Shadow, the remaining of LnG/KJ/Riku
Wisp, what am I even asking you? Did you even read my post? You and Rhand are a dichotomy. Flowing from that, either the town are you, Shadow, Riku, and me, or it's Rhand, probably Shadow, me, and ???. But for the town to be you, Shadow, Riku, and me, KJ/Rhand/LnG would have had to make some very odd voting choices. So odd that I find it unlikely that they're scum. Hence you are. But I really felt like you were town based on how you handled 2.2, so I was hoping you could show me where my reasoning in 829 was faulty, that is, how a scum team of KJ/Rhand/LnG could make sense. You just posted that that team is highly unlikely, which I agree, which means you're scum.
Regardless of LnG's questionable announcement on 5.1, I would have rejected it because it didn't include me, and we have to have every town on the mission or we lose.
@Cantrip
your reasoning is not wrong, the problem is you are scum and its impossible for you to humor Grr/KJ/Rhand
We are never winning to a Grr/KJ/Rhand world, so we might as well stop thinking about it
So you will always be scum to me, and I will always be scum to you
today is my day off so I will re-read again, and look over the missions, I want to hear from killjoy
but as of right now, my mission will be
KJ/Grr/Shadow/Me/Riku (there is only one mafia in here, this is actually the only optimal choice for me)
the problem is hitting the correct mafia between KJ/Grr/Shadow

Actually this is what I'm thinking as well. It's likely Grr over Shadow though.
KoolKoal: Feel free to take this with a grain of salt since self meta isn't particularly helpful, but I think I get scumread mostly for style over substance, but also for a certain lack of substance over style. It's not so much what I AM posting most of the time (though sometimes that can seem bad) but what I'm NOT posting. I've been told I come to non-obvious conclusions a lot, so when I post, quite a bit of the time there's jumps in logic that people can't follow and they think that's scummy. I get that accusation about a lot of questions I ask specifically. People call them "busy work" when the questions are legit etc.
As far as things to ignore, I can't think of anything. I would suggest you focus less on what I'm doing and more on how I'm doing it. That's probably more likely to be accurate. Like I've just said, what I do tends to come off a little weird, but if you look for how I do it, mindset comes into play and maybe you figure out something useful.
Mission 3. Proposed by shadow. KJ, Last, LnGrrrR and Rhand.
Pass, pass, fail. Shadow dummied Rhand, who voted pass.
Now last, from your vantage point, it has to be either KJ, me, or shadow. You know Rhand is scum, and so either I failed, KJ failed, or Shadow dummied one of us and Rhand voted fail.
Now, if Shadow and Rhand are buddies, it explains why Shadow doesn't put himself up. Instead, he just puts up Rhand. (Cantrip, the final scumbuddy, is the only no.) He knows he will dummy one of town instead.
Look at mission 5 now. Cantrip "dummies" Shadow. Cantrip pulled the same plan Shadow did to try ad muddy the waters.
@LW, like, you know Rhand is scum, right? In what world does myself and the other informant vote to approve that mission? (Barring conspiracy theory land)
@Lng: Why don’t you want to consider a scum!Last world?
Because I can't make mission 2 make sense.
Let's posit Last is scum. 4.2 has two fails with Last, me, Shadow, Cantrip, KJ. Rhand has to be town in this world, barring ridiculous shenanigans designed to make aureus one or the other was on every mission. (And if so, kudos.)
Crossing out LW and me, at least one other scum between shadow, kj, and cantrip.
Mission 3 fails with me, KJ, Last and Rhand. Rhand and I are town. Last or KJ vote fail. But KJ and LW both vote for that mission. Not sure why they would take a risk of crossfire, unless Shadow is scum too. So... likely not KJ? Town me, near townfirm on Rhand, town lean on KJ.
Mission 2, KJ, me, rhand, last. No fails, and only no vote is Rhand. In this world, scum just throw away their chance to take this with scum!Last leading the mission.
So, assuming scum!Last, who is his team? Riku, Shadow and Cantrip the only three that seem viable. And due to Riku not being on mission 4, there has to be at least one scum in Shadow/Cantrip.
So, I guess scum!Last with some combo of Riku/Shadow/Cantrip is possible? Likely Last/Riku/Shadow..
I just don't see a world you aren't scum, barring scum Rhand and Last shenanigans world.
Playing devils advocate, Last/KJ signaling (most likely in that world Last knows he’s not ever getting dummied so he does the failing) is not more improbable than several other things that make other teams eyebrow raising.
No I didn’t. I ruled out KJ for 3.3 because he was on mission with LW and there was only one fail.
@Wisp: Why are you asking me why I dummied Shadow? When I put my team together, he was my "well, I don't want to add anyone else to this team".

It has been rejected.
Yes (0):
No (7): Cantrip, KJ, Last, LnGrrrR, Rhand, Riku, Shadow,
It is now LW's turn to nominate. He has 72 hours.
Remember a hypothetical 5.5 will be automatically accepted.
I am ok with punting this mission vote analysis if it gives us 72 more hours to discuss.
