I’m here. And I honestly don’t know how to move this game to lynch.
Tell me again that my idea that we needed to go to claim range earlier in the Day was a bad idea.
I think your idea that we needed to go to claim range was a bad idea.
Okay, but for real, to get into that, forcing claims for the sake of forcing claims is bad Mafia play; if you're putting someone to claim range, the purpose is that at that point, the game is ready to both end the day, and lynch that player. If you wagon someone 25% into the day, forcing their claim is bad because it doesn't account for the possibility of them either posting to make themselves not lynchable, or thread flow moving a different direction. As an example, in my champs game, I pushed a player pretty hard day one, and about half way through he claimed out of frustration. He was town's strongest PR, and if he had waited, he may not have even continued to be a wagon. But he got killed N1, and he probably didn't even have to.
@Shadow: that was not the idea. In theory you’re right, but it all depends on the flow of the game.
Where we are now is indefinitely worse. Either we end up lynching someone without a claim chance or we have to choose a new lynch because of a claim in way too short a time.
I don't feel particularly good about a wheat lynch, especially with you being the one asking, but if it's between eating a rope and lynching wheat then yeah, I'll self pres for sure.

With 24 hours I think it's a farse to suggest it's that bad, but I absolutely think forming a proper wagon maybe 2-3 days ago would have been better.
KoolKoal: Feel free to take this with a grain of salt since self meta isn't particularly helpful, but I think I get scumread mostly for style over substance, but also for a certain lack of substance over style. It's not so much what I AM posting most of the time (though sometimes that can seem bad) but what I'm NOT posting. I've been told I come to non-obvious conclusions a lot, so when I post, quite a bit of the time there's jumps in logic that people can't follow and they think that's scummy. I get that accusation about a lot of questions I ask specifically. People call them "busy work" when the questions are legit etc.
As far as things to ignore, I can't think of anything. I would suggest you focus less on what I'm doing and more on how I'm doing it. That's probably more likely to be accurate. Like I've just said, what I do tends to come off a little weird, but if you look for how I do it, mindset comes into play and maybe you figure out something useful.
Probably LW. I don't see a world where he's town -and- is a mafia target.
Heh this is a weird statement.
Do you have any idea how many people have LW as lock town?
I hate this post. It reeks of "my team is already considering this option."
It does kinda add to the "Rhand/Last not Scum/scum" idea though.
lol. I sure hope you’re scum, and if you’re not you really have to work on your confirmation bias.
But I think you are. Town!you is better than this.
@Vaimes: your take on Wheat?
Can you give me an overview of what you meant then? Because Last is the kind of player that no one actually follows. Why do you think he'd be a high priority kill?
@Shadow: because he is widely townread, and according to my game view has a good grasp on the game.
There’s no way they can keep him alive until lylo. He won’t get lynched.

Playing devils advocate here, say you're right, he's town and will never get lynched; why wouldn't he be brought to lylo to lynch someone? Everyone is brought to lylo for some reason. Some people it's to get lynched, others, it's to be the lynchers.

What do you think happens?
if that lylo ever happens, then I vote you, because you are the scum...

I think that game is beyond lylo.
You legitimately think there is no world where I'm town? On freaking Day 1? I'm calling bull crap.

and you dont question Vaimes, when he says literally the same thing?????????????????
I don't have any desire to lynch WG. Feels like he cares about solving the game, think his reads are developing organically and without any sense of an agenda or opportunism.
Kinda squinty eyeing him for thinking that LW/shadow is a world and that LW has spent most of D1 empty bussing his partner despite being townread early on, but that's it.

I have some issues with Vaimes but where did he do this?
I'm pretty much at the spot where I'm pretty confident that Gemma/KJ/LW are town (LW I want to go through myself but I find his interactions, questions and reads very easy to follow, even when I disagree with them, think he genuinely believes the reads he's pushing in the thread and think he's genuinely attempting to gamesolve, I'll go into this one if I'm still as confident on it later but wasting time on him now isn't a good idea).
Ick. This feels worse to me than when Rhand townread LW.
Other mentions of LW by Reg are throwaway or mentioning his name off-handedly.
Last, I don't know how plainly I have to spell this out for you. I think roz flips Mafia way way way more often than shadow flips mafia. Roz is being completely unhelpful to town, shadow is helping town. There is literally no world to me where I prefer to lynch shadow over roz. This has nothing to do with being afraid of a mislynch.

and I told you that ideology is wrong, wheat or regfan are 10x better lynches than Roz
If you could focus on showing that you care about the game that would be pretty ideal, since like, I currently don't believe that you do and think you're decently likely to be scum for it.
Shouldn't be a problem; have several hours carved out for this tonight and tomorrow.
Think I'm in the right headspace to actually gamesolve too.
im so glad that you just need to be "in the right head space" to ******* choose to post in a game you signed up for... i expect some decent posts tomorrow...
Eh, is this how town talks to a scumread they've had all Day?
Scum mad that a partner has been MIA vs. town mad that another slot isn't participating.
Gemma, walk me througb Reg's blanket townread on LW?
LW's reads have been all over the place and a lot of his scumread seem to stem from a dislike for how that player plays rather than being likely to be mafia, and I don't know why Reg is townreading that.
shadowlancerx - 3 (sheepsaysmeep, Lastwhisper, Wheat_Grinder)
roz_the_eevee - 3 (Gemma, Lissa, shadowlancerx)
Wheat_Grinder - 2 (Killjoy, Rhand)
Rhand - 1 (Vaimes)
Lissa - 1 (roz_the_eevee)
Not Voting - 2 (Regfan, Nancy Drew 39)
With 12 alive it takes 7 to lynch.
The deadline is 2200BST on Wednesday August 1st. This is in 24 hours.
am around, working on looking at wheatgrinder

LW or Reg CFD is appealing.
If you had pick, which of those would you choose?
Reg works for me

would -care- how townread he is

@Vaimes: your take on Wheat?
Unvote, vote Regfan
~placeholder slash vanity vote~ while I read about wheat and grinding.
Not feeling LW CFD. Kinda not feeling Reg either.
Lynching Roz right now is dumb if we can lynch literally anyone else. Lynching lurkers< basically any other option.
There’s no way they can keep him alive until lylo. He won’t get lynched.
Vote Regfan I'm willing to see where this goes.

He is wolfy.
Actively not wanting to lynch someone because of them being a lurker is insane to me.
@Rhand
I'm laughing.
Last is never a NK.
so why arent we voting Shadow? I dont understand this at all...
Kinda squinty eyeing him for thinking that LW/shadow is a world and that LW has spent most of D1 empty bussing his partner despite being townread early on, but that's it.
Don't really find the mindset of "vote stays until further notice" to be town-indicative.
I'm gonna reread Rhand.
