Dota: If I remember correctly, Voxx doesn't like RVS, so I'd be surprised if he was continuing it with his vote on me.
As far as the bolded, excluding micro games, I've been lynched exactly once ever, and that was Bare Bones.
So what you're saying is you've never been lynched as scum, and have therefore never lost as scum. I read that as lynch Shadow just to be safe. Even if it is accurate, and I don't doubt it, it's a very cocky attitude to take so early in the game imo.

You read it backwards, I've never been lynched as town; BB was a scum game.
And I'm sorry if I came across as cocky, I assure you that wasn't the intent. (If I am going to intentionally brag or something, I try to be more playful so as to make the game fun rather than put others down)

1. Do you often overexplain to this degree for an RVS comment?
2. How do you know that people here can't read Vaimes? I've never seen him get away as scum.
3. Are you sure this is the same Vaimes? Your description of him does not sound like him at all.
1) I re-read #6, thought "Wow that sounds insulting", so I went into detail.
2a) I can't be sure the people who can read Vaimes are Town. I don't want to write a giant essay on all my interactions with Vaimes, but another factor is elsewhere the games I've had with Vaimes normally had a player named fontisian, who has a claimed and historical 100% accuracy on reading Vaimes as Town, and therefore tends to get locked into correctly reading him even if she's scum, and recently players have been saying Vaimes is moving away from a transparent meta (towards a consistent-mislynch meta).
2b) I'm not concerned about him getting away if he's scum, I'm concerned about him getting mislynched if he's Town. I've only seen Vaimes NK'd once, and it wasn't due to his own efforts.
3) I'm sure, I can't speak for differences in experiences with him.
Reaverb, there's at least two people on that list who can read me very well. Maybe three. Hopefully they're all town!
Who are these people?
----- @Voxxicus Can you explain your RVS behavior? Particularly your votes on Vaimes and Shadow and why you made post #8
----- Vote: DoTArchon
They voted shadow in #9, had an immediate mind-meld with Shadow on my posts with #10 (Shadow) and #11 (DoTArchon), and then didn't comment on the near-identical questions or retract their vote on Shadow even though shadow has become the top wagon.
-----
I don't think voting Shadow makes sense. I disagree with his point on Voxx in #41 and #50, but I fail to see the scum-motivation for it (I don't see Vox getting mislynched on page 1 either). I like his game-solving when interacting with Vaimes and myself. L-2 this early strikes me as crazy.

Why is there a wagon on Shadow? The only case I'm seeing used against him so far is: he is good at mafia, therefore we should lynch him. (That's not a good reason to kill someone, just FYI)

Correct! That's a terrible reason to kill someone, and is absurdly toxic.
Talk to me about the two players who used that logic, and what you think it means for their mindset/alignment. Is it genuine? Or is it coming from a headspace of someone trying to generate a mislynch?
Nothing about Vaimes's posts make me trust him or inspire me to take anything he's saying with even a microdose of truth. Osieorb I'm just not reading because I can't understand his posts. King Torg is someone I wouldn't trust with a secret. Colin's roleplaying is probably harmless but it is also empty of substance, bare of reason. Barer than bare of reason. Reason suggests there is a point to it all. And there is a bear, a bear a bear a bear a bear a bear. Why?

It looks like I'm not the only one you feel that way about (which is natural, since the game just started).
Why am I more likely scum than anyone else you don't trust, if trust is the issue here?
Nothing about Vaimes's posts make me trust him or inspire me to take anything he's saying with even a microdose of truth.
I think this might have been an attempt to my first question to you so let me rephrase that question:
What empirical evidence makes or made Vaimes more likely to be a member of the mafia than any other player, give others players have not posted at all?
My schedule this semester basically makes me unavailable or of very low availability on M/T/W because I have class and work (I'm a professor's assistant) which is why I decided to /in games on MTGS - being away for three days in a row isn't terrible when days are two weeks long. I'll probably be able to sneak in one or two posts (hi o/) but unfortunately I have to be a responsible adult and, like, do... things. This weekend is Canadian Thanksgiving, too, so I won't be around for most of Thursday and next Monday even tho it's a stat, probably. I'll probably be able to pop in? but like. Not during the day, lol.
I've also decided that I'm going to phonepost as little as possible this game because newcomb is right this site gives me the luxury of time and if I'm not home I don't have to post when I should really be doing other things. Ofc I'll be reading on breaks and whatever, and if you want me to say something super urgently sure, but like... when I don't have to, I'm not going to. I'm pretty sure you could make a prediction that a bear won't be able to help themself from making posts later, and you'd probably be right. For now, tho...

It comes off really sleazy to point out a potential omission that may have come from a very clearly innocuous point of view ("only been lynched once"), And Then then suggesting that it is perspective-neutral, And Then manifesting it into a negatively-received response of an assessment of a factual nature.
Vote: Dotarchon
I must spoil temporal evidence:
The vote was the intended end of my post. What occurs beyond this follows from an internalized comment: "Now, JT, it appears there is plenty of time to secure a vote, don't you think you're being a bit hasty?"
And so I acceded to myself and browsed SL's reply where he corrected DA. It was thoughtful, and once again came with vacant internal scurrying.
As a side note, I find OO's reaction troubling, not because of its extreme indecipherability, but because I detect malice towards SL.
But the central matter is still DA's reaction. And I think we can all leave it at that. DA certainly did. Or didn't.
It seems the time shenanigans are beginning. Or have already begun. Or will they? DA both knows and doesn't know. A Schrodinger's DA. He can't take it back because there was never anything to give. In the first place.
Hey Jenna, reminder about my questions in #70, since you didn't acknowledge them in anyway. Your #76 point on DoTA would have been a good answer to that first question had I asked about DoTA instead of Vaimes.
Perhaps I have played mafia before. Or I have played it in the future. Perhaps this is my first game of this sort while communicating on a message board and not in real life. It is also likely that I browsed the other mafia games going on and thought, "yes JT, this looks like A Thing You Could Do."
I was not expecting it to be so cerebral, I will admit. Everyone threw votes onto SL and I assumed it was a non-trivial matter to Beat The First Object That Moved, which I can tell you evoked a sigh of that matter. And yet here I am in a new day with a mood reversal from the observation that these developments are not stupid.
To your other question, RT, I believe I made it clear that the empirical evidence, to use your emphasis, exists in the future. The current existence is simply Words On A Screen that evoke distrust. Unless, you are suggesting I express personal reasons outside of my Words On A Screen, in which I must respectfully decline. I don't feel it is acceptable to ask anyone for... Words Beyond A Screen.
Gale-cut SL, I observed your question and I found its premise to be preposterous and discarded it without response. And yet it the same time, I do not recall ever seeing it. Perhaps I will see it soon.
@Jenna: So you don't think a five person wagon on page two is significant?
Your question implies that the answer should be the opposite of what you expect me to say. I think you are smarter than that and do not need An Explanation For Your Actions. Your question is simultaneously answered and not answered in no temporal manner.
My question implies that your responses indicate you don't think it's significant, and my hope was that that wasn't the case. Why don't you think it's significant?
Why has your interest plummeted?
I kinda also think Jenna is town, but there's a small part of me that is tingling. Probably a read I let stew for a while.
Yeah, well, you're going to have to wait another 2-3 days for me to start dancing.
V/LA 3ish days (possibly less) as I finish up a client.
In the meantime, I would really appreciate if people talked about Shadow, the wagon on him, and particularly, the people who voted him for basically "scary wolf plz lynch".
I'd like to see people actually display something resembling a thought process and try to figure out alignments, for me to come back to.
Voting me is pretty dumb though given I'll be obviously town and dead before d3, if not d2.
I'll give one nugget though before I go since it's unrelated to the tangle I want people to talk about - Vaimes is probably town.
1) I'm town, and if he rolled scum, he'd know that
2) Pretty sure scum Vaimes would be scared *****less of me
3) He blatantly admitted to trying to figure out if I was scum reading him or not
4) He just voted me in incredibly lazy fashion to make things happen
5) He's not trying to really figure anything out himself
Like, Town Vaimes knows I'm never going to mislynch him regardless of my alignment - so this kind of lazy early game play meshes pretty heavily with that. It does not mesh with someone who knows I'm town and is terrified I'll eviscerate him if he does something scummy.
(Possible wifom-based counterpoint - Vaimes knows I'm a sucker for people scum reading me because I don't think wolves generally have the testicular fortitude to do so)
Osie's quick on and off is possibly indicative of scum behaviour but that's not really a lot to go on. If Vaimes and Vox are scum together it seems ballsy to act so aligned. Jenna is very difficult to read because I flunked quantum interstitial physics.
Vast and extensive. I'm just like Jessica Fletcher, I turn up somewhere and a bunch of mysterious deaths happen until I solve them.
