I guess it could be useful as a stalling tactic, but for how early this occurred in the game, I don't think so.
Stalling tactic is a good descriptor. Jey is full of reasons she can't explain things right now/ at all/ whatever.
Seems like part of it is playstyle but I'm not sure how much.

Damn me if Killjoy is actually scum but I'm really not up for lynching him. I'm not confident in lynching Zionite either but I'm actually willing to put a vote there, he's the one player I've probably wanted to put more effort into reading the most.
KoolKoal: Feel free to take this with a grain of salt since self meta isn't particularly helpful, but I think I get scumread mostly for style over substance, but also for a certain lack of substance over style. It's not so much what I AM posting most of the time (though sometimes that can seem bad) but what I'm NOT posting. I've been told I come to non-obvious conclusions a lot, so when I post, quite a bit of the time there's jumps in logic that people can't follow and they think that's scummy. I get that accusation about a lot of questions I ask specifically. People call them "busy work" when the questions are legit etc.
As far as things to ignore, I can't think of anything. I would suggest you focus less on what I'm doing and more on how I'm doing it. That's probably more likely to be accurate. Like I've just said, what I do tends to come off a little weird, but if you look for how I do it, mindset comes into play and maybe you figure out something useful.

So since apperently myself and Zionite are the likely lynches, I reread him first. There are things that seem a bit off to me (Like how he turned around on me really quickly) but nothing extraniously offputting.
For me it's either Anak or Tubba. barring those two, I'll unvote to make it so my vote doesn't contribute to a nolynch because of how this game works. I'll check back before work to see what the state of the game is then.

Let me summarize some points on why Zionite is scum
-was lurking day 1, "coincidentally" showed up right after being called out multiple times. Means he was probably reading and not posting. Scummy
-has voted multiple times with absolutely 0 reasoning to support the vote
-weakly defending grapefruit but couldn't actually explain why other than "I don't support his lynch". GF flips town and Zion tried to use the fact that he "thought grapefruit was town and fought his lynch" to make himself look good (classic scum tactic)
-he kind of refused to play Day 1 because he said he's "not good" at it or something, don't exactly remember. I believe someone said he didn't do this in other games
I've literally seen no reasons to believe Zion is town other than "he feels town" or something equally vague... unless I forgot. But still I don't see any good defense from Zion or from those who don't want to lynch him.
Can you link a post where he tried to use his townreading of GF to make him lookj town? I don't recall seeing it, and it's 3am here right now so I won't likely be able to find it till the morning.

I was at first scum reading shadow for that hammer, but I think I'm wrong. Apparently it wasn't as obvious to everyone else Grape was town. And I can't hold him solely accountable without questioning everyone else who voted Grape. In that sense, Shadow's reason was probably most justified. However, that proposed scum list is garbage. Why would I be buddies with the few players I actually have interactions with, and negative ones? I've questioned both KZ and Tubba for various things, choosing them over other players to interact with. Why would we be buddies? Or is this like how me and Grape are buddies?
This is basically what I'm talking about. He's beating his chest here that it was obvious to him that GF was town, even though he made no convincing arguments to attempt to stop the lynch from happening.
Deadline is nine hours away. you are reminded that the Day does not end until I post and say it does, so you may continue posting and voting after the deadline countdown has expired.
I'm on the 'newb town' ship. I mean I've played a few games and I already think they're way better than I am, even if I don't agree with their reads.
I've been wanting to bring this up though, that my mafia games are always polarized. I either do extremely well or extremely poorly. I'm feeling the latter here but I'm not giving up yet because the point of a game is to have fun.
@Shadow
Sorry for the delay but I'm stuck playing on a phone for now. While I'm concerned that you're tunnelling on me is keeping you from actually helping to solve the game, my willingness to lynch you is due to your other actions and interactions.
I'll start with the hammer on Grape. You've explained it numerous times, but here's what bugs me about it. You get to have your cake, and eat it too. You get a mislynch, you get off taking responsibility for it (in a dubious, selfish at best way), and you try to get town cred to boot. It smells.
Your early game interaction with Lurker bothered me a little at the time, and after going back through it I can say why. You seem to be purposefully looking to misconstrue posts to make them fit your narrative. In particular, your #67 and the part where you talk about Lurker questioning Latin about the "best scum player question". You describe it as gross, WHILE doing the exact same thing you're accusing him of! (More cake, sir?) I'm not dead set on you being scum, but these instances have you on my radar.
I don't know how many times I have to say I wasn't even THERE. How do I defend GF on V/LA? Especially when players are all like "yeah they're scum buddies together". Like pfft, come on.
@Tubba: okay no, where do you get that I tried to get town cred for hammering grapefruit?
And between EL and myself, you think I'm the one who was trying to misconstrue posts? Nuh uh, quote me misconstruing what he said, because that didn't happen. He made really bad assumptions about motive and I called him on it.
@Shadow
By saying the reason for your vote wasn't in any way to get a mislynch, but some other nebulous self serving reason, you are looking for town cred. You're saying that you don't really want to mislynch this guy, but you do, for reasons. It's a pretty convenient story. I'm not going to argue with you, I don't have the time or the inclination. You asked, I answered. Go read your posts interacting with EL, in particular the #67 I mentioned.
The Killjoy train is still the strongest imo. I'm not really sure what he's doing talking about Tubba and Anak so close to EoD, and he seems awfully unflustered being the lead wagon. There's roughly 3 hours left in the phase, and despite his activity, I don't think he's really addressed the situation at hand properly. Would be cool if more town votes could collect here.
On another note, I really like the majority of names on the KJ train atm. I'm not the largest fan of the Zionite train for a couple reasons.
"Zionite - 4 (Kabazame, Toastboy, Jey K, LnGrrrR)"
I'm not the biggest fan of Jey's or Grr's votes on Zion.

This thought comes across as half-baked. Why are you against lynching KJ?
I would rather lunch Zionite than Killjoy if those are the only viable options.

Vaimes, are you going to swing your vote back to Zionist? If so, then I don't think Killjoy should claim.
Essentially the same gripe as above. Why Zion over KJ?

Are you confident he was 'lurking'? Some of the reasoning in the past brought up against Zionite feels to me like it can be boiled down to his lack of activity making him scummy, (something that usually isn't indicative). However, the other points you bring up are intriguing. What makes you believe Zion was white-knighting GF at EoD1 as opposed to disagreeing with the lynch?
I'm not shadowlancerx, but I decided to be nosey.
post #67 was a really long time ago, so I went back and read it, and then I realized I didn't remember what shadowlancerx and Tubba Fett were debating about in the first place besides the Grapefruit hammer and came back to this page.
Tubba is reaching incredibly hard for this. I don't think shadowlancerx is misconstruing anything, but legitimately calling out EternalLurker. Tubba talks about twisting things for narrative while twisting things for narrative :\
I'm on the 'newb town' ship. I mean I've played a few games and I already think they're way better than I am, even if I don't agree with their reads.

So tubba is the one who actually said you had no reasons.
You're attacking me for it when all I said is that you have lots of excuses.
I don't actually disagree with tubba's assessment. But yeah.
I'm not opposed to a Zionite lynch, but vastly prefer killjoy or jey.
Same here. Though I'd like to see something more compelling as to why Zion is scum before I consider changing my vote. Ofc, I know this is difficult given the amount of attention Zion's shown towards the game, but in a scenario where a Zion lynch occurs toDay, it would feel very-much like compromising on lhf.

My thoughts on Zionite, for most of your issues, Kaba, are that he's been around enough to not be obvious about being scum.
Like lurking till called isn't really a thing, especially for a vet like Zionite. etc.
But it occurs to me as I'm writing this that two confirmed town are currently voting him. So I'm willing to follow on that basis alone. Vote Zionite

Alright so... this is a scumpost. I'd bet on it.
Study has been really good about not having opinions all game, and just asking a bunch of questions but now he's really pushing me despite (I don't recall) actually spelling out any real substancial reasons why he thinks I'm scum. I feel like he's maybe mentioned it in passing. Also it looks like his scumread is being bolstered by the strength of the wagon.
Also also he's saying he doesn't like the votes of the two nonconfirmed town on him.
Also also also "more town votes on here please"
KoolKoal: Feel free to take this with a grain of salt since self meta isn't particularly helpful, but I think I get scumread mostly for style over substance, but also for a certain lack of substance over style. I remember something where you all were confused about why I'm not going after Pa.
It's not that I'm not scumreading him for being tom. That's the issue, I am doing that BECAUSE he's tom. His playstyle being fabricated is why I'm scumreading him. The insincerity of his playstyle is making it hard to see his sincerity or not in his actual posts. Always is this way.
And when tom is town I tend to scumread him. In... Mistborn? I townread him and he was scum. So I don't trust my ability to read him. Make sesne?

So tubba is the one who actually said you had no reasons.
You both did. You said it first, and then Tubba repeating it actually tilted me to the point of writing that post. I addressed you, but it's a two birds-one stone deal. I feel the statement has a lot more weight coming from you in particular. Don't even dare trying wipe your hands clean and pass it off. This is not okay.
I can be an angry mom turning my head back and forth between to two kids giving them both death stares for their poor behavior, but I'd rather keep focused on the bad influence.

Look hard into SL tomorrow.
I thought my reasons for voting you were fairly noticeable in the posts I made. Today my push on you involved your scumread on Tubba as well as your indefinite stance on Pa. I also really disliked your scumread on Anak, especially how you called Vaimes and Toastboy 'possibly scum' along with Anak and Tubba. All of those names struck me as town as I mentioned before.
I don't fully understand your argument on Anak and how he's 'faking confidence'. I don't buy his regret over yesterday's lynch being indicative of scum either, I've regretted many lynchs in the past myself.
I remember something where you all were confused about why I'm not going after Pa.

But does this mean you can't weigh what he's said in the thread so far? I would be much more interested in analysis of the content of his play rather than the style any day.

Ok no. I didn't say that. I just checked my own iso.
And "trying to wipe my hands clean" is absolute bull*****. I just said I didn't say it but I agree. That's literally the opposite.
I will be able to check in before deadline as well. Not a lot of time, but I'll move my vote to avoid no lynch. I still pick Zionite over Jey, and KJ over both of them if we can muster it.
7 to lynch, correct? Willing to hammer JeY if we get another vote on her. Pa can jump over to Zionite, but do we have another vote?
@Latin, of the two (Zion and Killjoy), I think Killjoy has been pretty open in his thought processes. Zionite less so, and he has been a bit lurky. Plus that last post of his saying he didnt have a ton of time to put in sounds a little like a scum resigned to their fate, but that could just be me reading into it.
As far as pushing scumreads, who isn't? Or are you saying you are opposed in principle to voting someone to avoid no lynch?
Finally @Latin, are you saying one reason you have a scumread on KJ is because every person he thinks is scummy, you think is town? Re: Anak's regret, the thought process is that playing as scum makes some people uncomfortable (because, ya know lying and backstabbing and whatnot) so scum are more likely to express regret.

post #67 was a really long time ago, so I went back and read it, and then I realized I didn't remember what shadowlancerx and Tubba Fett were debating about in the first place besides the Grapefruit hammer and came back to this page.
Tubba is reaching incredibly hard for this. I don't think shadowlancerx is misconstruing anything, but legitimately calling out EternalLurker. Tubba talks about twisting things for narrative while twisting things for narrative :\

You're attacking me for it when all I said is that you have lots of excuses.
I don't actually disagree with tubba's assessment. But yeah.
There's a part of me that wants to let him get rolling and a part of me that thinks why hasn't he already.
Look hard into SL tomorrow.
Make sesne?
I'm incredibly content with my vote ):<

I looked the game up - that... actually looks like something I need to check out. I love ARK, I love fantasy
[but I doubt it will be superior in any way :>]

...I'm still actually content with my vote. I don't think I can add anything anyone else hasn't said.
Umm... What?

I don't fully understand your argument on Anak and how he's 'faking confidence'. I don't buy his regret over yesterday's lynch being indicative of scum either, I've regretted many lynchs in the past myself.
But does this mean you can't weigh what he's said in the thread so far? I would be much more interested in analysis of the content of his play rather than the style any day.
I've heard very good and very bad things about dark and light. I can confirm that Conan exiles is hot garbage right now, however.
Ark is life.
Ok no. I didn't say that. I just checked my own iso.
And "trying to wipe my hands clean" is absolute bull*****. I just said I didn't say it but I agree. That's literally the opposite.

Killjoy - 4 (Anaklusmos, Study Latin, Vaimes, Shadowlancer)
Just over an hour left.
I'll be here to make sure we reach majority.
Is this thing on?

Re Pa: Like I said earlier: I found his content scummy too... but I felt like there was a bias against him so I'm not sure I trust that read.
I don't think you were clear, SL. I just remember you asking a bunch oif questions and not doing much, then suddenly you thought I was scum.
But we will see how this plays out. I'm wondering if I'm a counterwagon to Zionite.
