Until I see flips to analyze, I'm looking at people in a vacuum. It's likely that they aren't scum together, but until I see one of the two flip scum, I can't discount the possibility that the other is.
Anyhow, this day clearly isn't going anywhere besides a Seppel lynch. Vote Seppel.

...I'm rather sad no one but apparently DCIII even bothered to look at what I had to say about Arian.
I read it, I just don't care what obvscum says about my townread.
That's bovine faeces. If you really thought I was scum attacking a townread, you'd be looking through what I said to show how I had a scum mindset attacking Arian. Not outright ignoring it while claiming to have read it.
Also, when did Arian become a townread for you? Because skimming your posts today, I actually don't see where you ever mentioned Arian as a townread. In fact, I don't even see why you have me as 'obvscum' - certainly you never posted any case at all, and the best I see is you supposedly agreeing with some part of Arian's bad meta case and you saying that if Seppel is scum, you want me and LnGrrrR dead... without a shred of justification for either.
"She flew at them, pointed teeth parted, razor claws flailing. In the hazy darkness, only the sounds of slaughter gave proof of what Yblisa was doing to the Celestials. Finally, the stars above twinkled once more (for of course Yblisa had been feeding on their energy to empower her dark rage, and to grant herself the cover of darkness), and there was no sign of Voes or Yblisa - save the twisted corpses of the Celestials who had tried to claim her."
"How horrible."
...explain to me, Iso, how that lines up with 'unmarked'. Because if I go by the above, it looks more like it lines up with AI's death flavour rather than Sir Chris's. So tell me again how you know that Yblisa targeted Sir Chris?
I understand that reading is hard, but if you look at the OP, it very clearly states: "Sir Chris, Demernae's Passion, found dead but unmarked Night 1."
So...that's how that lines up with unmarked.
....err, no. If Sir Chris was killed by the scum, which is probably the case, all that tells us is that 'dead but unmarked' lines up with the mafia nightkill. So how did you go from there to 'Chris was targeted by Yblisa'?
It can't be the OP flavour either. From the snippet of the OP I provided above, Yblisa killing someone would appear to line up very much more with the flavour for AI's death rather than Sir Chris's. And in any case I seriously doubt the scum would have chosen AI for the kill.
So. Again. How do you know that Sir Chris was targeted by Yblisa?
Because I can ******* read, desCoures. Maybe you've forgotten that Celestial Mafia is the sequel to Seasons Mafia. I certainly haven't.

Does that answer your question, or are you going to waste more of my time? Not to be snippy, I'm just annoyed that I had to dig these posts up because you didn't put it together, yourself.
For the record, the "torn apart" flavor was the mafia Nightkill.
Uh huh. Fair enough. So why didn't you say that in the first place?
I didn't play in Seasons. Heck, I'm fairly certain I was absent from the site around the time Seasons ran. So what doesn't make sense to me is why you couldn't have just stated the above in the first place, instead of doing a verbal run around until this point in time. In fact, it doesn't even make sense for you to have not just given a straight answer even if you had thought I'd been in Seasons.
No, what it feels like instead is that you didn't have a convenient answer on hand. Not until now, at least.
I'm also unconvinced by how belligerent you suddenly seem towards me after barely having had a word to say to me the whole day.
Err, no. Not until Arian replies properly, please.

How exactly was I fence-sitting? I think Arian is likely scum. I have for days. The only possibility I see where he isn't is if desCoures is. And even then, they could just be bussing one another.

Arian's been a townread of mine since Day 1 for meta-related reasons. You're not paying attention. Why would I bother defending Arian toDay when the Seppel wagon is clearly the driving force in the game right now and Arian being lynched is not an immediate concern. As for you and LnGr, it's related to your interactions with Seppel.

I calmed down. I asked if it was a slip because I know I go too heavy on those sometimes.
Please just stop the namecalling tho, that really was uncalled for.
I still have 7 days of work to go before I am home again. I'll read all the tl;dr posts that I skimmed thoroughly when I am home.
"Don't delude yourself, Merios. The remnants of Demernae don't have souls. They're no more than constructs, little more than--"
"Than Elementals? Is that what you meant to say?"
"But you aren't an Elemental any more, or so you keep telling me. What are you, exactly?"
"A ghost. The spirit of a lost world, that abides, waiting for revenge."
"Very melodramatic. But you begrudge me my own vengeance against Demernae, when she destroyed my gift to her. Hypocritical, don't you think?"
"Be quiet, Grandfather. They've chosen...damn, not Yblisa or Voes, only one of their lackeys."
"The most corrupted of the Celestials, the most venal of a wretched lot. Demernae's Heart, now as blasted and black as either Yblisa's or Voes's. Come, Merios. The time is not yet ripe."
"Do you ever plan to tell me what you're waiting for?"
"Eventually, yes. Quickly! To Alway Etteem, or whatever is left of it!"
"...yes, to the Mirrored Halls, where your sins shall be reflected into infinity, and the emptiness in your heart will be found as devoid of light as Demernae's was."
“At her heart, what was Demernae? Was she like the Mother?”
“She was so much more than Yblisa. She was yielding where Yblisa is stern, warm where she is cold.”
“So…what happened between you? Did she betray you?”
“The way Yblisa ‘betrayed’ Voes, is that it? You have more of your father in you than you know, Merios.”
“I have nothing of the Father in me. He created me as an automaton and nothing more.”
“He had his reasons, the same as Demernae did. Motivations aren’t so black and white. If you’re going to be a being of free will, you have to realize that.”
“…”
“Demernae’s heart was pure. Maybe too pure. I don’t think she really ever understood what it was I was trying to accomplish.”
“And what was that?”
“Ensuring the future. For everyone, and everything.”
Welcome to Celestial Mafia, Seppel! You are Demernae’s Heart.
You begin the game with 25 Vitality and have the following ability: Vital Force (active/night): Target another player. If that player has higher Vitality than you do when this ability resolves, that player is protected from the first kill made against him or her tonight. If that player’s Vitality is equal to or less than yours when this ability resolves, the first kill made against him or her tonight will kill you instead. (If you successfully bodyguard a kill made against someone else, you are not considered to be the target of that kill.)
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to PM me, and have fun!
It is now Night 2.
You have moved to Alway Etteem, the Mirrored Halls.
Vitality totals have been updated.
The deadline for night actions is Saturday, August 30th, at 5:30 pm EST.
***
For knowingly violating the spirit of the game of Mafia, Seppel has been retroactively modkilled, pursuant to rule #11.
In order to compensate his team for the loss of a resource (namely, his ability to post while dead if the game moves to Erhamen), I will be speaking to the Mafia overnight and working out a solution, which will be made public knowledge when it is decided upon. Thank you for your understanding and continuing commitment to the game.
"Like all the other worlds of the Celestials, Alway Etteem had once been a utopia, a pristine world of glassy citadels that mirrored the flawless skies and crystal seas. Now it was a shattered heap of broken glass, the shards of which reflected only the envy, hatred, and greed lurking in the hearts of those who beheld them."
"Just as with the Celestials themselves."
"And two more of those fragments, the remnants of Demernae, had been felled as the group fled Ruchperion's endless frenzy. Once part of a great soul, they had become only dust on the wind of an opaline scrap-heap of a world whose uncaring gales soon dispersed them into nothingness."
"..."
"That's awfully bleak, Sidi."
"Life is bleak, Umry."
"Just like you to say that. But Father thinks that life is an endless celebration."
"Your father is still youthful, my boy, and hasn't seen what I have seen. But it is just that attitude that makes him such a good father and chieftain, while I am only a storyteller, recounting the ages of centuries past."
"Speaking of Father, he'll be here soon."
"Tell the story, Sidi."
"As you like, children. The Celestials, Voes and Yblisa among them, regrouped and continued to play out their dire farce, even as the worlds of the Celestials rotted into wretched husks. And from a vantage point nearby, two uninvited guests took stock of the proceedings, and made plans of their own. Merios had come to Alway Etteem - and with him, his Grandfather."
"Merios! But he was the last Elemental! He died when the Second Creation ended!"
"Not so, lad. He was saved at the last second by his Grandfather - rescued from the Clock just as oblivion descended on Voes and Yblisa's creation."
"His...grandfather? If Voes and Yblisa were Merios's parents, then his grandfather would be...."
"The Word! He came back!"
"After all those millennia of silence, the one who started it all had returned, for reasons unknown...."
Hunger, Demernae's Envy, and DCIII, Demernae's Bitterness, have been killed.
“Didn’t you ever envy the connection Demernae had with her creations?”
“No more than your mother envied what your father had with his creations. I tolerated her addiction to the meaningless lives of mortals.”
“You are speaking to one of those mortals, if I may remind you, Grandfather.”
“…Am I?”
“…And you sound more than a touch envious yourself. They acknowledged you, those living beings you wrought. But they did not…love you, is that it?”
“They loved Demernae, and she destroyed them. At any rate, it was she that was the envious one. She envied me my jaunts across the cosmos, the endless quest for knowledge and understanding. Inside, she regretted her decision to stay grounded, tied to one creation.”
“Of course she did.”
Welcome to Celestial Mafia, EtR! You are Demernae’s Envy.
You begin the game with 25 Vitality and have the following abilities: Morbid Fascination (night/active): Target your fixated player. Tonight, you spend your time memorizing that player's behavior, so nothing happens, but you must use Morbid Fascination on that player again tomorrow night. When you do, you learn about whatever night action(s) that player is planning to take that night, and may choose to block any or all of those actions without that player knowing it was you, then you must use Morbid Fascination again on that player the following night. When you do, you may kill that player. If you don't, you stop being fixated on your target and gain another shot of Fixation. Fixation (active/anytime/one-shot): PM the mod with another player's name. You are now fixated on that player.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to PM me, and have fun!
“When did it…go wrong…between you and Demernae, Grandfather?”
“After I collapsed Buchan, she turned away from me. No matter how many times I tried to explain myself, no matter how flawless my reasoning – and it was flawless – Demernae refused to speak to me. Often I would spend weeks searching for her among the stars, only to find her lost in thought where Buchan had once been.”
“…”
“You don’t mean to tell me that you…sympathize with her?”
“Our world is gone, too. I was there at its end. All those lives obliterated, everything that it once was, wiped from existence. What meaning is there in that?”
“That something better might rise from its ashes, of course. Nothing lasts forever, Merios.”
“Except you? And the Celestials, the pieces of your dead companion? Voes, Yblisa – you play your cosmic games, and it is the living that suffer.”
“You almost sound as bitter as her, now.”
Welcome to Celestial Mafia, DCIII! You are Demernae’s Bitterness.
You begin the game with 25 Vitality and have the following abilities: Barbed Bequeathal (active/night/one-shot): Target another player. For the rest of the game, that player’s night actions cost an additional 2 Vitality. Repaid in Kind (active/night/one-shot): Target another player. When that player dies, you gain whatever Vitality they had remaining. If that player had no Vitality, you gain 3 instead. Void Offering (active/anytime): Pay 5 Vitality. If you do, you gain an additional shot of one of your abilities. Overcharged (passive): Whenever you successfully target a player with 5 Vitality or less, you kill that player.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to PM me, and have fun!
Day 3 has begun.
With 15 alive, it's 8 to lynch.
Vitality totals in the OP have been updated.
The deadline is set for Sunday, September 21st, at 2:00 pm EST.

No. I've made it very clear that I think Yblisa is one of the 5 scum mentioned in the OP. She was merely the SK in Seasons Mafia. My point in quoting all of that from Seasons was to show dC that reading isn't as hard as he makes it out to be.

@Iso: I didn't have the time to check all my suspects thorougly so I went with my main suspect EtR.
I isolated his/Hunger's posts and Seppel's and that convinced me I was right.
As of post 193, Wildfire had 8 votes on him. desCoures came in and started a wagon on Sir Chris, which Seppel quickly jumped to with virtually no reasoning.
- Iso has the most (and genuine) interactions with scum!Seppel. Town.
- Seppel buddied up with Sir Karn often. Town.
Quote from Seppel »
Is there anyone who seriously wants to lynch Karn right now? If so please give your reasons.
If you don't answer or you ignore this post, that means you're saying no.
Quote from Seppel »
Did I put Karn on my townlist? Karn's on my townlist.
Quote from Seppel »
Karn is town. I'm like 98% positive.
Quote from Seppel »
oh btw, someone brought up a good point and now I'm a little less certain that Karn is absolutely town.
but still Karn is pretty town
- Natirasha is either solidly town or levelling me. I'm still a bit paranoid on how he pushed the Seppel lynch after remembering him bussing aggressively in Social Engineering Mafia II, but the blatant insistence on how Seppel was town after the lynch doesn't mesh with scum mindsets - same with Megs.
90% seppel flips T now but that replace out was hilariously unwarranted lol.
Yeah this is my thought on the matter.
- Moving dkings down to leaning scum read. I can't remember anything he did recently and the thing I found really off was that Seppel pushed on him at the beginning of D2/end of D1 but he pushed on dkings very weakly. When Seppel listed his top three scum dkings wasn't on there.
- Still think the dC/LnG cluster holds Seppel's buddies. This is blatant coaching to LnG:
Quote from Seppel »
You're voting a lurker who you don't know the alignment of and you're asking for more votes because that'll help you find out if he's town or scum.
Become useful please.
..and to dC, here:
Quote from Seppel »
Oh hi dC nice of you to join us. DC3 can wait until tomorrow. Please be useful and vote Killjoy.
Although at this rate we'll have lynched Killjoy before you even come back.
Quote from Seppel »
I'm not a fan of the wagons on LnG, Wildfire, and AI. Also lol @ that vote by Rhand on Megs.
Likely that there's one scum in this cluster of three - and my bet is it's LnG.
Quote from Seppel »
Killjoy, Hooker, DCIII.
This is making me queasy, but I want to explore it later.
Hm. No one targeted Megiddo (or myself) last Night.
Vote DesCourses
I'm fine with seeing where this wagon takes us.
Pretty sure this is a bus vote.
LnG, how did your read on dC change between these posts?
Quote from LnGrrrR »
Arian feels open and honest, not holding anything back. Not familiar enough with dC to say whether his meta call is correct or not. Anyone else that knows desCourse well enough care to chime in?
Quote from LnGrrrR »
@dC, why are you worried about being mislynched when you don't even have that many votes on you?
Quote from LnGrrrR »
Prod dodging. School sucks. Haven't fully reread, and I would like to get in some thoughts before we go to Night, just in case. Seppel's defense against Iso sucks, but I think dC would be a better lynch. (Or heck, Karn or Proph or Cythare.)
dkings, if you think Wildfire is scum, why aren't you voting him?
Do you think scum!Seppel would claim that he targeted scum!Wildfire with his ability?
From reading Seppel's interactions with him, I remember him going all like "Sweet a scum Wildfire again" and then listing him as one of his strongest town reads by the end of it. In my experience, scum tend to list town when they list out town reads.
Kind of a 'duh' revelation. No idea why dking didn't piece that together or why he even would have targeted Wildfire in the first place when I pretty much named the scumteam yesterDay. Maybe it's only obvious to me?

That's interesting, and raises an important question: Why did Seppel target Wildfire? (Assuming that he actually did)
The working theory is that scumSeppel bodyguarded the BP guy because it was the TOTALLY SAFE use of his ability.
But would Seppel target Wildfire if he knew that Wildfire might not be BP? If we assume the logic above is true, I am thinking no. This suggests that Wildfire is town.

If you look at his reveal,
A) He's a Doc/Bodyguard based on the Vit difference, not a Bodyguard/Failure
B) He doesn't cost himself 1 vitality
The second point makes it seem like he was trying to mask the fact that he lost 1 vit to some other source.

Do you think Arian and dC make sense as scumbuddies together, considering you have them as your top two scum reads?
Anyhow, this day clearly isn't going anywhere besides a Seppel lynch. Vote Seppel.

@Wildfire
Err, no. Not until Arian replies properly, please.

If Seppel flips scum, I would support a Wildfire wagon toMorrow.
Or maybe I was waiting for you to read the OP. Because, y'know, I kept hinting that MAYBE YOU SHOULD READ. The fact that you're attempting to spin this into an attack on me is probably the biggest indicator yet that you're scum - because seriously, THIS is the best you can do?
That's fine.

"...a talisman against all evil, so long as you obey me."
Again, if anyone has vitality they can give me, that would be great.
"Another soul devoured by Ruchperion."
"Merios!"
"Very well, Grandfather."
Seppel has been lynched. He was Demernae's Heart.
It is now Night 2.
You have moved to Alway Etteem, the Mirrored Halls.
Vitality totals have been updated.
The deadline for night actions is Saturday, August 30th, at 5:30 pm EST.

"...a talisman against all evil, so long as you obey me."
"...a talisman against all evil, so long as you obey me."
You begin the game with 25 Vitality and have the following abilities:
Morbid Fascination (night/active): Target your fixated player.
You begin the game with 25 Vitality and have the following abilities:
Barbed Bequeathal (active/night/one-shot): Target another player.

1) Wildfire appears to have lied in his pseudo-claim
-or-
b) His interactions with Seppel were awful throughout D1 and D2?
I isolated his/Hunger's posts and Seppel's and that convinced me I was right.
As of post 193, Wildfire had 8 votes on him. desCoures came in and started a wagon on Sir Chris, which Seppel quickly jumped to with virtually no reasoning.
| denotes responding to a quote or a question, or a vote.
- denotes a passive mention.
Multiple occurrences in the same post are redundant.
If a post contains both | and - for the same player, only | is mentioned.
Some | may be demoted to - and vice versa depending on importance.
Breaking this down:
- Iso has the most (and genuine) interactions with scum!Seppel. Town.
- Seppel buddied up with Sir Karn often. Town.
This is blatant coaching to LnG:
..and to dC, here:
Likely that there's one scum in this cluster of three - and my bet is it's LnG.
This is making me queasy, but I want to explore it later.
I think the rest of the scumteam is in:
- LnG
- desCoures
- dkings
- KamikazeArchon
- Cythare
Pretty sure this is a bus vote.
LnG, how did your read on dC change between these posts?
dkings, if you think Wildfire is scum, why aren't you voting him?
This is the post where Wildfire claimed not to have targeted anyone on N1. I know for a fact he used an ability last night.
From reading Seppel's interactions with him, I remember him going all like "Sweet a scum Wildfire again" and then listing him as one of his strongest town reads by the end of it. In my experience, scum tend to list town when they list out town reads.
Why do you think Seppel was buddying Karn, instead of just trying to get suspicion off his scumbuddy?
Club Flamingo Wins: 1!
I have two abilities.
One is targeted. That would be the one I used night 2. Thanks for making that one useless by the way.
The other is not targeted. It's also the ability that makes me bulletproof.
