Anybody with "currently inactive" as well as people that just don't exist anymore I listed as inactive.
I will need help to fix the list!
I would like to break it down like this:
BASIC/NORMAL
These games are not particularly complex, and don't require super in-depth review.
MINI
Minis can be very complex! They are small, but I think having a separate category makes sense.
SPECIALTY/FTQ/PCQ
Obv.
I have a plan for this to make it more user-friendly, but that can only come after we get an updated list.
SO HERE IS WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:
1. If your name is on the list, please clarify what game types you are able to review. If you wish to be removed entirely, let me know.
2. If you name is NOT on the list, and you want to be a reviewer, please post and ask to be added! Tell me what game types you want as well as a link to a game of that type you have reviewed before. If you don't have a game review of that type under your belt, I'll add you if the mafia council vouches for you.
3. If you know the status of somebody on the list/can contact somebody on the list, help me out!
I will be sending a mass PM to everybody currently on the list in a little bit just to make sure that everybody listed is aware of what I am trying to do.

I think AsianInvasion, DRey, DYH, ZDS, and RobRoy are inactive.
I would like to become a reviewer. I have several reviewed games in the pipeline (killjoy's Basic, Antny's Basic, Cythare's Mini, Natirasha's Normal) and am currently reviewing a Specialty. I'm also the go-to guy for Normal reviews (as the League Head Judge).
As a thing, if you have me reviewing something and haven't heard back from me in a week or longer, shoot me a PM because I'm just terrible about keeping track of what I need to review.

This has the potential to be the official MTGS Mafia Reviewer List.
The first tab is the current reviewer list. This is a pivot table. Should be fairly self-explanatory, but I'll explain it anyway:
Active: An X indicates that you are currently willing and able to do reviews.
Verified: An X means that you've met the requirements to be a reviewer for the game type(s) you are listed for.
(the rest you can figure out on your own)
The RAW tab is where you can enter yourself. Just put Xs in the spots. You could in theory put other values! I put an example of this on my own entry. The Verify column is protected; I will add it myself later once we confirm that you are actually verified.
I mocked this up pretty quickly, so if you have any suggestions, let me know and I can fix it.

Thanks for looking into this, Megs. I'm able to continue reviewing FTQs/Specialties/PCQs.
Also, please bear in mind that there is a clause in the hosting signup thread which notes that anyone who has previously run an FTQ is authorized to review those games in the future.
I think having the information in text form in the hosting signup thread will probably be more effective than having it linked in a spreadsheet. It does require updates from year to year, in any case.
Added myself to the document; I'm technically qualified for everything, but until I get used to reviewing anything bigger than a Basic, I'll stick to Basics & Minis.

Hey all... I'm retired, not dead. Check out what I'm doing these days (and beg me to come back if you want):
Despite being virtually completely inactive in terms of playing, I'm still happy to review any kind of game.
If we're looking to add more reviewers to the list, it might be worth reaching out to recent hosts (especially of specialities or acclaimed games) to ask if they'd be prepared to review in case they don't look here. Also, the League judges should be officially listed as being good for Normals at the very least, since they review them before use anyway.
Well, I'm technically available to review anything, but (as certain people know) I'm fairly unreliable these days to get back to you in any kind of timely fashion.

Quote from Bateleur »
Ambush Krotiq makes me laugh so much. I keep rereading the card and it keeps not having Flash. In what sense is this an ambush again? I just have visions of this huge Krotiq poorly concealed in some bushes, feeling slightly sad that his carefully planned ambushes never seem to work.
I'm still fine with reviewing FTQ/PCQ/Specialty games.
One thing I should mention: if you're looking to get your game reviewed, it's much more effective if you just message one of us instead of everyone on the list. I feel much more invested knowing you asked me specifically to review your game.
Also yes, I would add myself. I can do basics, normals, and minis. I've reviewed a few basics (can't remember whose), and have at least one reviewed mini game completed as well as one running and another in process. Normals aren't hard and I have run a successful Normal. Specialties I'll hold off on for now, though after Gatecrash runs I would technically be qualified.

Add me to the reviewer/prospective reviewer list. Should definitely be able to review Specialties/FTQs (successfully run a PCQ) and Normals (League Judge, so I'm doing it anyways), will need vetting on Minis and Basics. Had extensive reviewing experience back in the day on 'Scum, though it's been long enough that the only example that comes to mind is Mushroom Kingdom Mafia (Specialty equivalent).
So is there any real method to becoming a reviewer these days? I remember when I needed to become one for Mafia League judging that I asked and was just sort of cleared immediately.

I would recommend that prospective reviewers should "shadow" reviewing a game in order to get experience. For example, if I wanted to review a Specialty, then I would see if someone would need reviews for a Specialty and see how that player reviews that Specialty. That way, I could get to see a particularly reviewing style and see how it works.

If I run a game with 14 players but make it a sort of Tag-in/Tag-out style game where only 7 players at a time may post, would I be allowed to place that in the Mini queue?

If it's two players in one slot & the death of one player kills the slot, I don't see why it wouldn't work. The problem I see is the two accounts linking the players together; this would confuse players to the point of replacing out if the players are using anything but purpose-created hydra accounts.

KoolKoal: Feel free to take this with a grain of salt since self meta isn't particularly helpful, but I think I get scumread mostly for style over substance, but also for a certain lack of substance over style. It's not so much what I AM posting most of the time (though sometimes that can seem bad) but what I'm NOT posting. I've been told I come to non-obvious conclusions a lot, so when I post, quite a bit of the time there's jumps in logic that people can't follow and they think that's scummy. I get that accusation about a lot of questions I ask specifically. People call them "busy work" when the questions are legit etc.
As far as things to ignore, I can't think of anything. I would suggest you focus less on what I'm doing and more on how I'm doing it. That's probably more likely to be accurate. Like I've just said, what I do tends to come off a little weird, but if you look for how I do it, mindset comes into play and maybe you figure out something useful.

Basically, everyone is WoLG + Iso from The Hobbit Mafia. Except with a tag-in/tag-out system and design space involving the dual roles.
If the roles are linked such that they die together...hmm. But I'm guessing the players don't know who is linked to who? That makes the analysis harder.
But the pace would be pretty fast...faster than a regular mini, even. And it's only two player slots more than a regular mini.
I guess that's close enough to the border to say alright? At any rate, I'm certainly interested in playing when it comes up, whatever queue you settle on.

And alright, thanks, Az.

Clicked the link, sounds fancy. Will we be seeing a mafia adaptation of the game?? I think we should.
