My reasoning should be more than obvious, as i've stated it at least 3 or more times.

Do we care who hammers at this point? Should I put him at L-1?

We still have about one more day, and the evidence against him is slightly overwhelming (unless he suddenly makes a return that explains everything).

pass has been in my eyes, a townie, and has never (technically) lied to us before, but the fact that his and kpaca's stories have minor conflict worries me.

So, yes, I'm on board with a burboy lynch, but I'm concerned with the nature of the Necro tome, where it is now, and who we should trust with the responsibility of lynching someone who was at one point a great advocate for us.

After we discern a little through that, I'll gladly vote

Unless he doesn't want to, I nominate kpaca for the lynch. He's the one person I trust not to mess with the book.

(Also, we need to watch the timer if we try to set up a specific lynch - it would be embarassing to time out.)

That is a good of choice of action as any I can think of.

My suggestion that if burboy doesn't show up by noon sometime tomorrow, we have kpaca lynch, but if he doesn't show up, we'll have pass hammer.

Also, don't forget that burboy is not actually at L-1 yet.

The chamber hums with the silence of a tomb as you all stare at burboy's unmoving form. The urge to roll the trenchcoat-wrapped body into the pit fills you inexplicably; it would be so simple, the lightest push with your shoe and down, down into oblivion. . .

The silence is broken by a gasp; you all turn to see who it has come from. Perhaps it was bateleur, you consider with strange calm as a cloud of dust settles gently where the quiet and akward man had stood only a moment before.

Considering we're still playing the game, this means the Mafia hasn't won yet. This means there's only one left. And this means we can't afford to screw up.

Now considering, we don't know the sanity level of burboy or his side of the story, there really isn't much to go off on. But the lack of a second kill (thank you kpaca for keeping that last bullet to yourself), if we are to believe that kpaca will continue to sit on the kill, which I'm inclined to.

I want to put kpaca as town.
Pass, I like, and information from yesterday seemed to have some basis in fact, though his story isn't compatible with what happened.
Chubbz, your Necrocomicon story has lost veracity since burboy has been proven to be an actual vig.

If I had to go after anyone, it would be, nay, will be you.

But I want to hear other voices before we start.

As far as I'm concerned I have to go chubbz today. No way in hell pass is scum and I'm hard-pressed to go against seratonin who I have (save for a small time in the middle) had on my town list the entire time.

I'm all ears for other ideas but that's my initial read. If seratonin (or pass especially) turns out to be the scum, props to you guys for duping a more experienced player, but I find that hella unlikely.

Well, I'm glad we're on the same page as it means we're already two thirds of the way there.

Yes I have the necronomicon, and the elder sign, and the book of changes. Burboy had all that stuff.

As to the thing I said earlier, According to flavor the scum isn't powerful enough to kill someone with as much willpower as whoever they targeted, so their kill didn't work. The kill that went through had to be a serial killer or vig.

I'm unfamiliar with the more advanced specifics of what claiming this would mean, it's unlikely it will have any effect but before I do I want to make sure bats and kpaca agree (or in kpaca's case I assume he will not care, which might as well be agreeing from him lol.)

Considering bats died, I doubt you'd have any issue. <_<
but I'm pretty sure as long as it's not a direct quote, it shouldn't be a problem, seeing as the same logic behind items works for general role claims (from what I remember).

Since we only have one more night probably I suppose it's safe to claim what the items do? Even if I die there is no time to use the items for anyone else. The necronomicon gives a one shot ability (which we already knew), the book of changes blocks one non-kill action the night you use it, and the elder sign is just a bunch of flavor text.

Yeah I'm not real comfortable with Chubbz responses, so I really can't go any other way. unvote: Vote Chubbz.

If there is one mafia and one SK, then chubbz HAS to be one of them, and if there is only 1 mafia or one SK, I still play the odds with him.

Sorry man, but if you're town that means seratonin and kpaca are the mafia and serial killer, which I find damn near impossible to believe.

I'm Vanilla town. you lynch me. SK kills, and so does scum. depending how the kills go either scum or mafia win.

even if i could convince you all to go to a no lynch we're still almost guarenteed to lose as town because there are 2 (i think) town left, 1 scum, possibly one SK. no lynch, 2 NK's 2 people remain. either way town loses.

and why is it so immposible for seratonin and kpaca to be mafia/SK? because they've acted town? truthfully scum act more town than town does! honestly i act more scumlike than most of the dead scum have/did.

and the futility of trying to plead my case to 2/3 of a crowd that wants me dead and only had to convince the last remaining town of it is extremely aggravating.

actually i'm changing my guesses. if pass was the SK/mafia he would have barned me with the other 2. So,

Pass, reconsider? how much has Kpaca really done this game? claimed vig (which we had more than one...) and claimed to have shot some people. it isn't that hard to cover SK under a vig guise. especially if burboy was trying to hide his PR because of the required robot talk restriction or w/e reason he had for talking like that.

Chubbz, you do realize you're not really presenting a good case for yourself. You're deflecting without providing any evidence (throwing dirt in the air trying to track away), self-depreciating (saying things which are tantamount to "why, yes I've been acting scummy"), and not reading the thread closely enough to know that I could at any time put an end to this, and the moment that was brought to your attention, you shift views, very unconvincingly, and suddenly say I'm town and that pass is now mafia.

If there was a fourth option, I'd inclined to take that, but between kpaca (who's shooting in the beginning gave us a good start), pass (who's believed in my town hood for quite some while), and you, I pick you.

seratonin holds the last candle close to SGT_Chubbz' face, scrutinizing the terror he sees there. Then he shakes his head.

seratonin frowns as he watches the ballerina tumble gracelessly to her doom. Too late, he realizes what comes next.

The light of the candle withers as passilisk expands into a cloud of shadow, churning chaos lit from within by the fierce glow of an Elder Sign. Detached, insane laughter fills the chamber as seratonin's suspended form writhes in torturous agony as tendrils of oily hatred is played like some manner of grotesque musical instrument. The laughter and screams crescendo in an aria of madness and pain, reverberating throughout the chamber, the catacombs without and indeed, to the house far above, echoing on long after the last remnants of seratonin, Edward Kennedy Ellington, Vanilla Townie Composer's soul have been devoured.

The roiling cloud that is passislisk now turns its madness upon kpaca, hungry for a final victim and savouring his ultimate victory. . . but kpaca is not to be found. With the Elder Sign burning inside, passislisk finds it difficult to maintain his nebulous form and he slowly coalesces back into a more or less human aspect. He can sense kpaca's proximity, he has not left the chamber. . . something strange about the chamber. . . at last, turning his attention upward, passislisk stares into the towering form of kpaca, blood red eyes looming massively in the dark. Stumbling, passislisk falls, as the very walls seem to close in upon him. . .

kpaca stares at the smear of grease in his palm, all that now remains of passislisk, Pablo Ruiz Picasso, Mafia Watcher With a grimace of annoyance, he pushes the scattered items at his feet into the black pit. He watches the stinging light of the Elder Sign fall away as the profound approval of Him Who Must Not Be Named settles on him once more like a shroud.

A smile on his face, kpaca, Howard Carter, Cursed Archaeologist Serial Killer, begins to make his way back to the waking world to continue in His service, a bit of nasty work regarding the country's financial markets. . .

Good game. Passilisk, you are amazing for living to the endgame.

The flavour claim was amazing Pass.
Town deserved to lose as soon as they lynched Dagger after Bats lied as much as he did to get him lynched.

Where do I even begin on this game? This has to be up there for worst town performance of the year, although South Park is another contender.

kpaca was so plainly the SK that it was painful. Guys, when someone dies and comes up town vig, it's time to look at the other guy who's claiming to be the vig. This is elementary mafia.

This is another example of why early town leads are bad - because people switch off and start playing like morons and would-be superstars. The dC lynch was beyond atrocious, as was the vig on Fenris (I'm not sure if that was an intentional shot by burboy or if he was in auto-fire mode by then) and the less said about the entire Dagger thing, the better.

bats: You need to give your head a shake and take a long look at how terrible you were in this game. You were awful.

nacho and burboy: Disgraceful behavior and - sorry ria - very poor mod decisions for both of them. The modkill on nacho cost the town a virtually confirmed player and the failure to modkill burboy rather than allow him to continue to run up sanity penalties (and, you know, not post at all on the day he was lynched) was really the deathknell for the town. With burboy modkilled, they might've gone for kpaca as the SK (although they probably wouldn't have) and had a chance at beating passislisk at LyLo.

Chubbz, you were on the right track and if you hadn't checked out of the game things might've been different. If you can't commit the time, then replace out.

passislisk, nicely done. You had me fooled and the way your team distanced from you worked well in your favor.

Am I bitter about this game? No doubt. I put a lot of time into re-reading 2000 posts and trying to make things happen and to see that effort utterly wasted galls me. This wasn't a close one where scum got a narrow and well-deserved win. This should have been a blowout, and if some players hadn't thought they were bigger than their team and if everyone had kept their heads and made use of behavioral analysis and process of elimination, it would've been.

Let's try to do better next time.

Atleast now I can (well, when Rin posts night/day actions/flavour) ***** at Batleur.

I was fine for being lynched, because I really did slip up. I hadn't really kept my facts together and I ment to push for 2 doctors existing. But the 'no mod would make that much flavour text, you're lying' pissed me off so much I metaphorically punched a baby.

I would like to know why he never said a thing about kpaca being an SK once burboy died. The town was following him so much all game, they would have followed that, too.

On the Dagger lynch, there was absolutely no reason for you guys to lynch him when you did. You were not in LyLo, so even if he was lying, you could have come back to him on a later day without repercussions. If you had lynched bats instead, yeah it would have been a mislynch, but you would have known bats lied about Dagger. Then, if the town had won, bats still would have won. But, if the town had won this game, Dagger still would have lost.

However, after burboy died kpaca should have been the obvious lynch.

Also, did passislisk kill seratonin at the end? I expected the mafia and SK to shoot each other after lynching SGT_Chubbz.

I'm disappointed about how this game turned out (the nebulous sanity rules didn't help) but it was pretty fun to play in and to watch, so I'll give rianalnn credit where it's due.
