I've been indisposed these past couple days (staying up for OSL finals into parents coming during the long weekend); I will write day scene tomorrow =/. Sorry for the delay.
That's confusing as usual. (I love this game). Why did rafK want us to vig him if he actually would have died? And why do we actually have a SK together with mafia, and the only kills have come from the town (Gamerz)? Like seriously, why are there no nightkills at all? Have the protects and stuff been dead on the whole time?
because no way is there an SK with an unkillable in the game, it's too unfair, I said that the last time someone speculated there was an SK in this game despite the lack of any, y'know, SK kills).
eh. (btw everyone get your eh's in)
Perhaps the mafia has some sort of ability that disables passive abilities and that's why he died?
Eh. Agreed with Syrenz, this game is confusing and soooo much fun.
I watched Zebi last night; he targeted EmoPinata and myself. Or at least those are the results I got - I do not know for sure whether he targeted E_P, or the other way around.

Zebi wasn't a bad choice.I was hoping someone would have tracked Stormblind though.
If someone claims that they are an unlynchable, unkillable, octa-voter, with 4 daykills and 6 doc-protects, then technically lynching that person solely based on his claim would be gaming the mod, but I would be just fine doing that.

I actually guide'd you last night to prevent any WIFOM. I figured the mafia would suspect i would target zebi or Buranri, and would try to RB gamerz into us lynching Rafk, (Which totally woulda sucked amirite?).

Geez, who knew I'd have to sit on this post for a week, lol. j/k MMOD.
Ok, so since N_A flipped town, I decided to take another look at StormBlind. He seemed pretty townie upon first glance, but through re-reading, I'm very, very comfortable with a Vote: StormBlind.

We've basically got 2 lynches (effectively, yours is an easier to set off second lynch) and too many townie power abilities for them to block us all effectively.
Going to guide Zebi, to ensure his tracks go off properly.
Very early in the day he states that Zebi's his target for the night.
First of all, you don't reveal the target of your ability in thread as it gives scum hints as to what they won't be able to get away with (in this case, they were aware that they would not be able to RB Zebi where as if he hadn't proclaimed this, they might have sent their RB to Zebi, which would have been wasted.
Second of all, SB's too good a player to make this mistake, so I think he did it to make it seem he's townier.

EBWODP: and yes, i totally realize that this is probably silly to state outloud, but lets be realistic here, its the only power that TRULY matters here. Double tracking is... entirely relevant. Random Doc, single tracker, or the vig power, not was big a deal as 2 tracking's.
(Basically a "INBEFORECRITICISMS" / Inbefore"youidiot"'s)
Right, but as I stated, if you hadn't proclaimed this, they probably would have RBd him, and it've been wasted.
You're all ????ing retarded.
No lynch? Right. At this point, i am for the lynch of ANYONE who wants to no lynch, as it is strictly non-town behaviour.
And, whoo hoo. Guess who's on the no lynch train?
Let's take a look see:
Zebi - Claimed double tracker. Decidedly unhelpful this game.
Buranri - Claimed watcher/tracker-something. Has been awkward this entire game.
Nom Anor - Non-contributing, scummy, and now pushing to waste a day. DONOTWANT.
unvote, Vote Nom Anor
I've stated why i consider a no lynch retarded and not townie behaviour. I will vote for those pushing for it, as well as do everything in my power to oppose them. Naive townie or not, that is BAD PLAY.
First of all, I dislike all players who use personal attacks to get their point across. Does this mean he's scum? Not necessarily (although I've only seen one player use them as town, and it wasn't SB.)
Second of all, No Lynch is not always a waste of a day. Once simply has to consider the pros and cons of such. In Indiana Jones, it was the absolute smartest thing we could have done. However, anyone considering a no lynch has to propose a veritable flawless case for such a bold move.
EBWODP: Ill post now since i lost ALOT of posts (I posted like 3-4 times, and my blackberry ate it every time >.<).
Yes im sticky. No, this setup doesnt make too much sense, but if i remember right, RK mafia had a similar setup (2 docs atleast). So, its not completely out of the realm of possibility. General concensus was that 2 doctors will lead to 2 mislynches and both docs dead, but until then, it'll lead to the town having 2 doctors. It was harshly criticised cause the game was intensely townie favoring as a setup.
SB does a lot of speculating on the setup of the game. While it is helpful to have an idea of what's going on, this is not very reliable speculation.
I think MMOD took a page out of my Book.
Im Wildlife Services, Townie Guide. I'm the anti-RB. I counteract Roleblocks.
His claim. The issue I have with it is I've never heard of it before, but that absolutely doesn't mean it doesn't exist. I have no other issues with it. It's kinda meh, though. Pretty weak, as you never know who scum is going to RB, so it's the luck of the draw.
To be fair, i had been in the game like 12 hours before the day ended, and i honestly didnt have a huge opinion on basically anything at the time and kinda forgot about my night action >.>.
Does anyone else find this last sentence a little hard to swallow? I do.
Doesn't seem like SB to forget an ability.
From what's been discussed thusfar, it seems that this game in general makes no sense from a balance perspective. 2 docs, 1 unkillable ALONE is kind of retarded. Add in a cop and 2 trackers, and expect me to be fairly suspicious.
If anything, i'd say the best places to start looking are at the unkillable and 2 doctors, as well as the trackers and cop.
Those 2 trio's make no sense, and should never exist in a game together, and just from VERY simple setup analysis, more likely then not, one person per grouping ISNT telling the truth.
Unless this isnt a standard mafia game at all and i dont know what the hells going on.
Fos: Buranri, Jerubbaal, Zebi, Rafk, Shibui.
If i were betting i'd say 2 of those 5 are hiding scum.
Here's how it stands: we lynch someone. And im personally not caring for Nom_Anor. There's simply something about his manner and his "joking" which is irksome.
Unvote, Vote Nom Anor
That is a really, REALLY weak reason to vote for someone.
You're not thinking this through. If the mafia has claimed vanilla, and since they seemingly dont have a kill, they simply wont do anything and coast to victory since there's simply TOO many power discrepancies for the vanillas to be the first choice of lynching.
Lets face it, the power roles are nice, but will mostly be useless. Its just how it is. Doctors and nonkillables? Meh
Investigators: The mafia have EVERY reason to seem as real as possible and likely wouldnt do anything that doesnt jive with their claims. And Jerub is mostly useless in regards to catching anyone (I doubt they'd have to false claim considering the retarded claims we've seen so far).
We're looking at POE and analysis. Not power use. Jesus, stop being lazy and do some INVESTIGATING / ANALYSIS.
I've recently read through the entire game. There's not much there on the people remaining. Most scummy seem to me to be you and buranri, though.
From the person who started it (near as i can tell)
Basically? Its LAZINESS. Too lazy to try to build their own cases, too lazy to even READ AND COMMENT ON EXISTING ONES. They want the game handed to them.
Ill be honest, this game has become a CHORE due to how little the majority of the player base CARES. I would suggest just flushing out the least contributing players here, but again, NO ONE CARES ENOUGH / THEY HAVE FREE RIDES DUE TO ROLE CLAIMS.
Lets do a quick review of the playerbase shall we?
2. Yodavader StormBlind - Me, Im pretty Active. Responding to things. Prodding for activity from people.
3. jerubbaal - Thinks im... something? Iunno, barely posts, usually isnt coherent, and very little contribution. Also a role cop, and ill be honest, he's played that pretty bloody accurately, and well. Scum or town? Unknown, but it would require GREAT play from a scum to have thought ahead this far, and less great play from a townie. So... ill lean townie annoyingly enough (I say annoying enough cause he has scummy posts, but the method in which he has played his role is totally town)
5. Gamerz - Town. Pretty Active. Voting Nom Anor. I like Gamerz
6. Zebi - Double 'eh' tracker. Persists in the values of a no lynch (likely so he can use his abilities.)
7. Nom_Anor - Scum. About as scum a scum as i ever did scum. My favourite part? His next post after i vote him: He thinks im scum... but... isnt secure enough to try to force it today. Why? what are you afraid of?
8. RafaelK - Decently Active. Useful. Posts a fair amount. Probably town (UnNKable anything seems stupid tho in this setup)
9. Buranri - I honestly dont know. Tonnes of issues with his role information, mis labling, bad targetting, terrible posting. I honestly DONT know what to think about him. I'd lean scum.
10. bman65 - Likely Scum. Likely needs a replacement.
11. shibui - Town in my books. Only person actively pushing anything.
12. Syrenz - Town. Actively trying to post. I like him as well
Town list: Syrenz, Jerub, Rafk, Gamerz, Shibui
Scum: Nom Anor, Bman, Buranri (and/or) Zebi.
I dont see role cop, tracker, and watcher/tracker. But jerub has played his role in a very townie manner, if not played the GAME in a townie manner. Zebi and Buranri i dont like tho. And i fully suspect one of them to be scum, with the other being town. Dunno which tho.
Now, if you'll notice, towards the beginning of the day, he posted that Shibui seemed really aggressive and actually FoSd him.
Why the sudden change of heart, SB?
EBWODP: Right, i had a proposition to make to the town.
If we lynch Nom Anor today, (something i consider a GREAT idea) we vig Bman using Gamerz. He's not posting anyway so ???? it, he dies. Easier then finding a replacement. Any thoughts on that?
This is just horrible. Seriously, you'd rather lynch someone than give them a chance to post/be replaced? In a game where everyone's posted sporadically?
I'd say looking for an easy mis-lynch.

well, now we have him requesting replacement. A top scum candidate, the only Town Hero out of the 3 vanilla's, Someone who couldnt ever PROVE he isnt scum due to his claim, and now we're getting a complete wipe of his behavioural situation because of a new player who simply Doesnt know what bman did, or why.
Seems like a great reason to lynch him doesnt it?
Again, with the "Let's lynch the lurker". Now, everyone who knows me knows I can't stand lurkers as much (if not more) than the next guy, but seriously, to lynch them just because they're not posting as much as you'd prefer? Get real, SB. And, now, there's a replacement requested and you still want to lynch him? Unreal.
Also, you should remember this game in the future in a situation like this. A lurker replaced by one of the most active players on the site. Nice!
But if he doesnt post in the next 3 hours, im just going to lynch him. Done waiting for lying scum, and im definitely not going to let him compromise the momentum we have going right now.
Wow, he's really pushing for this lynch now, isn't he? Went from bman to N_A just because I came in. Maybe it really was all the lurking that he didn't like
Conclusion: SB's been all over the board with his posts. He's been pretty erratic, and his position at the forefront of the N_A lynch are all validly horrible points against him. He is scum. I am 90% positive of this.
I was suspicious of SB as well, because I didn't really like the whole Nom thing and his claimed role which is why I was hoping he would be tracked last night.
Does anyone else find this last sentence a little hard to swallow? I do.
Doesn't seem like SB to forget an ability.
As strange as this seems (and it does seem strange), there's no reason for SB not to just make up targets. The trackers had claimed their targets by that point I believe and he could have easily made up targets instead of claiming to not using his ability at all.
I'll let SB respond to your other points before I make any more comments on them.
I'm tired of waiting, and at first I thought I was permablocked last night.
I was told that without snow in Canada I could not shelter anyone from the environment. I just realized this meant that because RafK is dead I lost my powers. I also realize that my abilities may have only protected against RafK to begin with since I was told that I shielded my target as he was attacked by cold and white flakes.
This casts some wonderful WIFOM into the pot. My questions and thoughts:
What happened Night 1? -> Scum targeted RafK, RafK was doc protected. Scum roleblocked Zebi
What about Night 2? -> Rafk did not target Buranri, RafK was roleblocked, mafia NK didn't happen
What about last night? -> RafK targeted my target, Gamerz shot RafK and was blocked*, RafK was NKed
*yes I know SB guided Gamerz
I want to hear what everyone else had to say, if Gamerz was told he was roleblocked (or why the kill failed), and I want to hear from Zebi about who I targeted.

I must say, I like the flavor-abilities connection in this game MMoD.

Hm. That is an interesting question. Does this mean that you couldn't have protected anyone from anyone cept rafk? Who'd you protect last night? (I mean, if you protected rafk night 1, then its logical to assume rafk took a shot at whoever you protected night 2 right? and... SOMETHING Happened to rafk night 1? :S) Also of interest, Rafk likely wouldnt have claimed if he was RB'd... so that might be where the rb went night 2.
This casts some wonderful WIFOM into the pot. My questions and thoughts:
What happened Night 1? -> Scum targeted RafK, RafK was doc protected. Scum roleblocked Zebi
Dont see any reason to doubt this is what happened. Either that or no mafia nk happened at all. Except for night 3, we have no proof of a mafia nk at all. And if the mafia could have killed rafk night 1, why didnt they?
What about Night 2? -> Rafk did not target Buranri, RafK was roleblocked, mafia NK didn't happen
THis is... the most likely scenario again. I cant think of any other reason as to why rafk's kill wouldn't have gone off. Nor, again, why there was no mafia nk.
What about last night? -> RafK targeted my target, Gamerz shot RafK and was blocked*, RafK was NKed
Rafk: Probably targetted your protect target, that or he has the final action in the initiative line? Like,. his kill takes place after whoever's kill killed him? Perhaps he wasnt KILLED, but failed to fulfill his objective or something?
Actually, that last is the thing i would rate most likely. Here's my thought, it's well established that sk's AND mafia in the game game are broken and end the game really fast usually with one of those 2 winning.
What if rafk had to kill the mafia in order to survive? Like, he had a timer to kill the mafia in, and as long as he did his job, he stayed alive / unkillable or something?
I want to hear what everyone else had to say, if Gamerz was told he was roleblocked (or why the kill failed), and I want to hear from Zebi about who I targeted.
You were a great NK target before, scum think you're a doc when in fact you're vanilla and want to kill you (if they even have a kill), but we now lose that advantage.
E_P targetted Gamerz. Buranri targetted me; and I'm sticky.
And yes, I was being facetious. I tracked buranri because I'm suspicious that theres a double tracker and a gimmick single tracker type thing. I also targetted E_P because that whole doc thing went down pretty badly. That plan to see if he would fall into a trap was ruined by the 'hey he targetted E_P last night'.
I'm missing something here, what trap would EP have fallen into possibly?
Also, if I had just said I watched you, people would ask who you targeted, and we would
end up in the same spot. If I didn't say anything about my night actions people would still ask, and once again the same result would happen.

Like, I don't think he was an obvious track choice so if he was scum he would probably think it would be okay to claim something that would stir up the pot and I'd be like ummm no.
It's also just popped up in my head that it's possible that EP is a scum doctor and Gamerz isn't a vig but the responsible Mafia NK.. Unless he was actually confirmed as big somewhere which I don't remember.
True... There isn't exactly a shortage of track choices.
Vig
"Guide"
Watcher/Tracker
I suppose a doc is fairly low on that list.
I don't *think* Gamerz is confirmed anywhere, from what I remember. However, I'm starting to doubt there even is scum here, or if their is that they have a kill. We still don't know why RafK died, unless Gamerz is lying...

What made you think you were permablocked at first?
I want to hear what everyone else had to say, if Gamerz was told he was roleblocked (or why the kill failed), and I want to hear from Zebi about who I targeted.
The PM I got goes through great pains to show that it was merely an unsuccessful attempt to shoot RafK.
If someone claims that they are an unlynchable, unkillable, octa-voter, with 4 daykills and 6 doc-protects, then technically lynching that person solely based on his claim would be gaming the mod, but I would be just fine doing that.
What made you think you were permablocked at first?
I skimmed the flavor and just read the endgame where MMoD told me what happened. Before I posted again I read over it again and noticed that the flavor was extremely important. I then went back and read my other PMs.
The PM I got goes through great pains to show that it was merely an unsuccessful attempt to shoot RafK.
This just baffles me. If you failed it could be that my doc protect actually is what killed RafK, and that normal kills just didn't work -> sort of like a bizarre SK/psychiatrist pairing.
Unless lrd's role was a red herring, I cannot see the mafia just not having a kill.
This just baffles me. If you failed it could be that my doc protect actually is what killed RafK, and that normal kills just didn't work -> sort of like a bizarre SK/psychiatrist pairing.
You're saying that RafK might have targeted the person you were protecting and that's what killed him?
I was told that I procure the snow that was left to encase Gamerz in the snow. It's very specific in saying that I can no longer use my ability because all of the snow got used up.
Gamerz has been told he did not kill RafK, it makes zero sense that the scum would succeed in killing RafK where Gamerz failed and target the same person as a vig. It also says that all of the snow was used up shielding Gamerz from the weather which tells me that my ability had some effect on RafK. I honestly don't know what if any it was, but it was hinted at in my flavor scene.
For what to do next, I think tackling the Bur-Zebi problem should be first. Jerubaal needs to post, and we still should prove Gamerz' ability since last night meant nothing.
To also add to the flavour of what happened with me, it said that there was no blood or screaming once I finished shooting (which makes sense, since I'm shooting at...well...snow.). From what my pm said ,I'm pretty sure that RafK really was NK immune. Considering that, E_P's theory actually sounds like a pretty good explanation of what happened last night. As for what happened the other 2 nights, well...that's a different story altogether.
Thoughts: We need to try to figure out who the RBer is. Granted, there's still the possibilty that Zebi was lying about being RBed, and that there s no RBer, but for now, I'm gonna on the assumption that there is.
It can't be Burnari, because his role is pretty much confirmed as being true. (or, at the very least, he's definitely not a RBer.)
Zebi isn't either, since we have him as targeting multiple people, none of whom have claimed to have been RBed.
Kinda hard to pin down though, since we only have one person so far to have been claimed to have been RBed.
Also, I just realized that there's no way, based on everything known now, that I could have been RBed last night. That would mean that SB would be lying about being an anti-RB, which would be a foolish thing to do as scum, since they would know who they RBed.
Not sure I agree with E_P about looking at Burnari/Zebi right now. I'm gonna take a look at Jerub, Stormblind and Manders in a bit and see what I can dig up based on what's happened.
If someone claims that they are an unlynchable, unkillable, octa-voter, with 4 daykills and 6 doc-protects, then technically lynching that person solely based on his claim would be gaming the mod, but I would be just fine doing that.
EP's theory is a decent explanation as to what happened to RafK, but it doesn't really make sense flavorwise. The synergy between flavor-roles-abilities has been pretty good so far this game. Snow doesn't really die if it hits an igloo usually.
Actually it does make sense flavorwise come to think of it.
I am Igloo, the town doctor. The player I target is sheltered in me, since I'm warmer than the elements.
The person is sheltered in you and you're warmer than the elements. RafK (Snow) tries to kill Gamerz who is inside the igloo and since it's so warm in there he melts and therefore dies. So that would explain that.
Technically speaking though, you're ability doesn't revolve around snow. "The player I target is sheltered in me" me referring to Igloo, so the target is protected in the igloo.
I was told that I procure the snow that was left to encase Gamerz in the snow. It's very specific in saying that I can no longer use my ability because all of the snow got used up.
You didn't previously say that you protect someone with snow, you said that you shelter them inside the igloo. So firstly you shouldn't be losing you're ability from the lack of snow, as you specifically said you protect them in the igloo. Secondly, what do you actually do? Protect people with snow or inside the igloo?
Also still need an answer from Zebi about what the flavor for the roleblock was.
Lol, I do actually buy the doc/kill flavor speculation, which still means that we don't actually have a scum kill. Not that it's terribly relevant.
Anyway, that being said, Manders is definitely not Terry Fox. I got Vikings as my result, so unless something weird is going on, it looks pretty cut and dry to me.

Right, but as I stated, if you hadn't proclaimed this, they probably would have RBd him, and it've been wasted.
SB does a lot of speculating on the setup of the game. While it is helpful to have an idea of what's going on, this is not very reliable speculation.
His claim. The issue I have with it is I've never heard of it before, but that absolutely doesn't mean it doesn't exist. I have no other issues with it. It's kinda meh, though. Pretty weak, as you never know who scum is going to RB, so it's the luck of the draw.
Does anyone else find this last sentence a little hard to swallow? I do.
Doesn't seem like SB to forget an ability.
More speculating on the setup. Meh.
That is a really, REALLY weak reason to vote for someone.
I've recently read through the entire game. There's not much there on the people remaining. Most scummy seem to me to be you and buranri, though.
Now, if you'll notice, towards the beginning of the day, he posted that Shibui seemed really aggressive and actually FoSd him.
Why the sudden change of heart, SB?
^^The part about this post that bothers me the most^^
His entire case against a no lynch was that people we being lazy/didn't care. Hypocritical much?
This is just horrible. Seriously, you'd rather lynch someone than give them a chance to post/be replaced? In a game where everyone's posted sporadically?
I'd say looking for an easy mis-lynch.
Nice!
Eh, I agreed with this (of course). N_A wasn't making too much sense there.

As strange as this seems (and it does seem strange), there's no reason for SB not to just make up targets. The trackers had claimed their targets by that point I believe and he could have easily made up targets instead of claiming to not using his ability at all.
I'll let SB respond to your other points before I make any more comments on them.

However, why did you reveal this?
Lair of the Cat (Mafia Stats)
Dont see any reason to doubt this is what happened. Either that or no mafia nk happened at all. Except for night 3, we have no proof of a mafia nk at all. And if the mafia could have killed rafk night 1, why didnt they?
THis is... the most likely scenario again. I cant think of any other reason as to why rafk's kill wouldn't have gone off. Nor, again, why there was no mafia nk.
Forced to agree here. This definitely gives the mafia the upper hand. (Assuming they have an NK, which empirical evidence doesn't support.) Hm.
You were a great NK target before, scum think you're a doc when in fact you're vanilla and want to kill you (if they even have a kill), but we now lose that advantage.
Lair of the Cat (Mafia Stats)
I feel the information gained from my reveal outweighs that massive maybe.
This game has me flustered.

Also, if I had just said I watched you, people would ask who you targeted, and we would
end up in the same spot. If I didn't say anything about my night actions people would still ask, and once again the same result would happen.

It's also just popped up in my head that it's possible that EP is a scum doctor and Gamerz isn't a vig but the responsible Mafia NK.. Unless he was actually confirmed as big somewhere which I don't remember.

I suppose a doc is fairly low on that list.
I don't *think* Gamerz is confirmed anywhere, from what I remember. However, I'm starting to doubt there even is scum here, or if their is that they have a kill. We still don't know why RafK died, unless Gamerz is lying...

Most likely they were worried about you being watched and wanted to kill you a dif night.
The mods took away my awesome Syrenz the Moose pic and left Skander's post .
@MMoD: I could just have Skander delete it, if you allow it. Or I could leave it there as it's not a big deal really.

What made you think you were permablocked at first?
The PM I got goes through great pains to show that it was merely an unsuccessful attempt to shoot RafK.

This just baffles me. If you failed it could be that my doc protect actually is what killed RafK, and that normal kills just didn't work -> sort of like a bizarre SK/psychiatrist pairing.
Unless lrd's role was a red herring, I cannot see the mafia just not having a kill.
Was anyone blocked last night?
You're saying that RafK might have targeted the person you were protecting and that's what killed him?
Lair of the Cat (Mafia Stats)
Gamerz has been told he did not kill RafK, it makes zero sense that the scum would succeed in killing RafK where Gamerz failed and target the same person as a vig. It also says that all of the snow was used up shielding Gamerz from the weather which tells me that my ability had some effect on RafK. I honestly don't know what if any it was, but it was hinted at in my flavor scene.
For what to do next, I think tackling the Bur-Zebi problem should be first. Jerubaal needs to post, and we still should prove Gamerz' ability since last night meant nothing.
EP's theory is a decent explanation as to what happened to RafK, but it doesn't really make sense flavorwise. The synergy between flavor-roles-abilities has been pretty good so far this game. Snow doesn't really die if it hits an igloo usually.Actually it does make sense flavorwise come to think of it.

Anyway, that being said, Manders is definitely not Terry Fox. I got Vikings as my result, so unless something weird is going on, it looks pretty cut and dry to me.

@Gamerz: If you have the necessary amount of votes to vig someone, do you have to kill the person or do you just then have the option to kill that person?
