No way. Vecna's six times as obnoxious. When he can't edit his posts, he becomes almost completely incomprehensible. There's no way in heck that it's Vecna.
Nah. It's just Vecna making an effort to stay anonymous (so no drunken shoutouts, use of nicknames etc). But the stubbornness, insistence on weird arguments, the sulking, and the feeling that he is an experienced player despite all of the above? It all fits.
Also:
1) Vecna is one of the only people I can think of with a real reason to use a gimmick account here at all (partly because he's a mod, and partly because he has a terrible reputation as an actual player for throwing tantrums and storming off, cough cough).
2) Speaking of edits, did you notice that UVP couldn't help himself and did edit once?
I only worked this out just today, unfortunately.
Anyway, if it's Vecna, probably for the best no matter what side he's on, he'd just spectacularly blow up anyway at some point

Nah, this is where bat shows shades of D_M and randomly disappears for no apparent reason for 2 months.[/wondering if I can get another person who isn't playing to complain in the thread]
What?! Look at the initial post; he is dead. Deceased. Kaputt. Indefinitely horizontal. In mafia games, you see, people are occasionally "killed off," and when that sad event occurs, he or she is no longer allowed to post, on account of rigor mortis and what-have-you.
'Welcome to Mafia Salvation', it said, 'Population: 3,660.' And someone, they never figured out who, had painted on the sign in red letters: '1,831 to lynch.'
Over the next hour half the townsfolk of Azureia flock to the South Square where the Royal Executioner waits with his fifty pound scimitar. At last, the announcement is made:
"A traitor to the realm has been uncovered in the very heart of the Royal Court. From this day forth, Azureia will sleep safer in their beds knowing that Unvote Vote Pod has been punished for his crimes. The sentence is DEATH !"
Two dozen of the Royal guards lead the prisoner to the block. As he is divested of his valuables some are held up to show the assembled throng. A sword, a dagger and a quite extraordinary pistol glint in the late afternoon sun.
"The man's an assassin !" shouts a voice from the crowd "Death to the assassin ! Long live the King !"
The executioner's blade flashes down. Unvote Vote Pod's last thought is that if only he could free one arm he could probably still deflect the blow...
...then his head lands in the basket. The crowd cheer wildly !

The city watch hear screams in the streets and pausing only to finish their game of cards, have one more beer and chat about a particularly good **** fight they saw last week they race to the scene.
There they find a man's decapitated body lying on the floor next to his own severed head. Oh, and another severed head, apparently also his. On closer inspection, one of the two turns out to be a painted burlap sack wearing an old helmet.
Nonetheless, the man is dead.

The Nerve of you foolish non-tobacco road bums! Especially if you have two votes! Revote and put both on him, we can kill all the damn UNCers!
I think the term is "you have some 'splainin to do", loran. Especially since you seemed to have been throwing some other capital letters around and I wouldn't be shocked to see you had a different hidden sub-claim somewhere.
Big thanks to whoever killed Zchinque and spared me the mistake of bandwagonning him today (actually, I kind of suspect it must have been a vigging, in which case there may have been a successful block or successful protect).
Obviously we need to hear from NA, but I am not entirely surprised if his plan was interfered with.
I see Sutherlands was at the Docks, so hopefully that went as planned anyway.
I was staying at the library yesterday. Nobody else was there. I remember at least one person said they were going to be at the library so that he could use a beneficial ability. I find that very suspicious, and remember that so that if I get lynched today, you will have something to go off tomorrow.
I was at the library because:
1. I don't need to be at the docks to get the information
2. I wanted the boost from whoever it was that said we would get some beneficial effect for staying at the library.
3. After Fayul brought it up, I was a bit paranoid about someone Nuking everyone at the docks.
I don't know if nom is town or scum. But I'd like to point out this type of behavior is his standard modus operandi.
Court Mafia: Day 1, hatch plan to KILL EVERYONE ELSE IN A SINGLE NIGHT, when the plan only allows him to hit 11 random players, ATTEMPTS TO FIRE ANYHOW (Roleblocked).
In other words....Nom is an impulsive player who doesn't think about planning long-term or listening to others. I wouldn't be surprised if he was town. At all.

loran, can you clarify that your role name is The Nervous Bard? You seem to have stepped around actually saying so, and I'd like to hear an actual commitment.
I would like loran to commit to definitely being the Nervous Bard (as cp has requested), and I suspect he may be either a "jester" or "survivor" role, more likely survivor, who also needed a specific role to die first.
If anyone's going to go after him, we're better off doing it with a vig rather than a lynch just to be sure.
Let's play a game, shall we? Due to the lack of kills and the abundance of apparent power roles, I am afraid of a daykiller, so I want all this out there as soon as possible. However, I have no interest in making the scum’s job easier as they seek to avoid attention. Therefore, if I die, you’ll have this to fall back on, and if I don’t, I’ll reveal this info in a less disguised form as necessary.

If people have thoughts on this, I'd appreciate if you could keep it to yourselves. The mafia already have enough of an edge in this game without other people offering up the info needed to solve it.
Anyway, back to current events, I'd still be happy to see a post from loran sometime soon.

Raf is refering to the possibility of a jester role (i.e. a neutral role that has to be lynched in order to win). I'm personally going to dismiss the possibility because jester roles are generally broken, and because the experiments that mods tried with them over on 'scum a couple years ago tended to show that they weren't very fun, since they short-circuited games in which they finctioned as intended. They fell out of popularity quite a while ago. 'Course, I don't play at 'scum anymore, so maybe there's been a revival?

FOS CP . Jester roles are broken. If i was a Jester i would've counterclaimed say.....nom anor, and gotten lynched today.
They're fun in IRC, where they're not inherently broken. They're boring and distasteful in a forum setting, where A. they're too easy to use and B. they deprive a player of the fun of a game, ie playing.

I had just been reading a couple of games there, which I haven't done in about 6 months, and saw both a game with a jester and a game with a lyncher/survivor pair. I thought that both the jester and lyncher roles were out of whack (hello, potential day 1 wins!) but it occurred to me that they might be much more interesting if combined- if you had to get someone lynched before you could win by being lynched yourself. That's trickier, since if you fake a cop claim to get the other person lynched you're in line to get vigged before you can be lynched... and loran here seems kind of willing to show off how suspicious he is now that Zchinque is lynched.
Of course, he could also be a scum caught setting up a false claim and is trying to act neutral so we won't lynch him
loran- to get this straight, you're basically claiming a survivor with no abilities who can win with either side as long as the Court Jester is dead? Need anyone else dead too?

There they find a man's decapitated body lying on the floor next to his own severed head. Oh, and another severed head, apparently also his. On closer inspection, one of the two turns out to be a painted burlap sack wearing an old helmet.
Nonetheless, the man is dead.
Allegiance: Crown
The hunt for the traitors now begins in earnest. No more is laughter heard around the Royal Court. After all, the comedian is dead.
Day 2 - It's Not Funny Anymore now begins...

Please feel free to resume play if you're around. Indeed, it's encouraged. But I will not be enforcing usual rules concerning player absences until the New Year.

2. I know I promised a long post, but night was shorter then I expected. You can be sure of one tomorrow, finally.
3. Nom_Anor was missing from the docks
4. How does DYH like his gift, I wonder. We'll find out for sure today, I hope.
And yeah, but did Nom ever claim he'd be at the docks? Maybe he doesn't need to be at the docks to use his abilitiy? I mean that doesnt make sense though......
Waiting for non to tell of his actions.

Waiting for everyone else to check in now.
I also note that there's no role reveal at death, so we're going to have to play a bit more carefully than usual.
I wonder what happened to Nom_Anor...

I do have some interesting information though.
Not much else to say right now.
Any helpful flavour to the roleblock that would give us an idea of the roleblocker's character?
I got really angry, like wanting to kill someone even. It almost sounds like I would have attacked someone if I had not been the only person there.
FOS WoD.
And all ill say to that, is that i wanted the real jester to react. And he's dead now, (YAY), so it doesnt matter.
but no, i havent threw out any other things in my posts that i know of. No more than you claiming wu in Rottk.
Logical Reasoning is dead; Long Live Stupidity
What?
You wanted the "real" Jester to spot that obscure subclaim and react to it? Wishing upon any stars recently?
If it doesn't matter any more, how 'bout giving us a better explanation. What's your connection to the Jester?
The sad part is is that Loran's bad enough to make this play as a townie. But he really does have to be lynched.

My activity over the next week will be iffy, i should be able to get on at least once every other day, but im hoping for every day. We shall see.
As for Non_Amor getting blocked, not really surprising. As the mafia probably didn't want to risk a kill getting blocked.
Also, i really don't buy Loran's explination. There must be more too it or else i might be voting for him soon. I think i might go through some of Loran's posts for any more "subliminal" claims.
I be wantin' to hear from loran about this here sub-claim, but I may go fer Pibbly today instead, as his final post o' yesterday sent me stomach churning like Red Rudder Ale.
FOS Sutherlands.
I needed him Dead. He was interrupting a Nervous Bard's songs.
Interrupting a nervous bard's attempts at songs is quite annoying, ya know? So he had to die! And someone killed him for me.
Logical Reasoning is dead; Long Live Stupidity
Yep. That's correct. Though i didnt kill him. (Nor do i have any means to)
Logical Reasoning is dead; Long Live Stupidity
FOS arimnaes
THe nervous bard does not care who wins the crowd.
Yeah Im neutral.
Logical Reasoning is dead; Long Live Stupidity
So do we have any reason to keep you alive?

FOS Axel
Do you have any reason to make me dead?
*Points to sin city*
Neutral hunting is bad mmkay.
Logical Reasoning is dead; Long Live Stupidity
Not really.. but if you've won, what motivations do you have? What's your goal right now?

Come on, do i really have to say it? FOS RafK. Being dead wont help me.
I win if (and this is VERY specific) the town or mafia win the game. My win condition says nothing about SKs.
My Allegiance is (to paraphrase) whoever should take over the crown.
Logical Reasoning is dead; Long Live Stupidity
3CB and 4CB5CB!So you win as long as another neutral doesn't win? Doesn't quite make sense to me...

Interesting order today. Not alphabetical.

If people have thoughts on this, I'd appreciate if you could keep it to yourselves. The mafia already have enough of an edge in this game without other people offering up the info needed to solve it.
Anyway, back to current events, I'd still be happy to see a post from loran sometime soon.

And no i have no abilities.
Logical Reasoning is dead; Long Live Stupidity
