Ambush Krotiq makes me laugh so much. I keep rereading the card and it keeps not having Flash. In what sense is this an ambush again? I just have visions of this huge Krotiq poorly concealed in some bushes, feeling slightly sad that his carefully planned ambushes never seem to work.
Oh and Jon, wasn't there anything to indicate Prizm's role?
Nope. Just signs of a fight and a trail of slime that stops abruptly.
Anyway, on to fadeblue.
OK, eci4, just so I can try to get all this straight: near the beginning of day, in post 318, you say you investigated fadeblue last night and found out that he's evil, and so then you vote for him. You seen absolutely positive that fadeblue's mafia, and reinforce this notion in post 340. But then in post 341, you apologize and say that you had fadeblue confused with somebody else, and you retract your vote for him. And then in post 351 you revote fadeblue, based on what you say are the results of your daytime investigation, results which give you a convenient way out if we lynch fadeblue and he doesn't turn out to be mafia what with the whole "he might not be evil because he might've been framed" and "he might be evil but not mafia" claims.
So. I guess I'll vote for fadeblue. If fadeblue turns out to be innocent, at least we'll have a good lynchin' candidate in eci4 and a decent one in Axelrod.
Guys, I am NOT mafia. If you actually read the "background info" he has on me, you can see that it does NOT say I am mafia. I'm glad that some people are reasonable enough to see that.
As for Jon's information, does anyone know any secret societies that have slime associated with them? I can't think of any.

I didnt actually say you were mafia, only that you were evil... I dont know what you work for....
Okay guys, after another (painful) review of the thread, I have another theory. (I know, I know, you can't wait to hear it).
I am somewhat hesitant to put this out there because of the chance it might muddy up the waters and divert attention from fadeblue (who is still EVIL), but who knows what will happen later, so I might as well say it while I can. Here goes nothing:
The Case Against Choco:
This case begins with me trying to figure out how the heck the Mafia (I'm going to call them Mafia for simplicity's sake) nailed Crome Moxen last night. I mean, out of all the possible targets, they pick someone who has done NOTHING all game except act like an idiot. And he turns out to be the doc. How did they do this? Coincidence? Well, at first I thought it had to be, but then I started thinking about actions. Did something happen day 1 that might have given the Mafia this information? Did someone use an action that could have revealed this to them. Did someone investigate Moxen and I just wasn't paying attention to it at the time? Then I saw this:
Quote from CHROME MOXEN »
OHSNAP i have god childs motocycle, i am going fast, and i feel like i cant be caught. Hanh, goes to a bar, and saix's up women
That was his action day one. What was Choco's action day 1?
Quote from CHOCO »
Action: Go find a bar and maybe over hear someone talking about something?
These two posts actually came back to back (ironically, with Choco going first) How much of a stretch is it to believe that DB, our illustrious Mod., who had already dropped the hammer on Prizm for stupidity, could have given Choco a hint here. He "overheard" Chrome Moxen talking and something Moxen said (while drunk) tipped him that he could be the healer.
Having latched onto this I decided to review Choco's voting patterns. He was very quick to vote for Prizm--just "going with the flow." He unvotes Prizm in post #155 (for no real reason), but the revotes him in post #200 saying he seems "suspicious." In post #254 he unvotes again, saying "Prizm seems too straight for me."
I then post my case against basementdwellers.
Choco's response to my case is in post #261.
Quote from CHOCO »
You have a good point there, but I think I am going to wait to make a vote or not.
He then doesn't vote again until fadeblue make his (extremely suspicious) vote against Prizm. You know, the one that got me on fade's case to begin with. Choco immediatelly also votes Prizm, without any explanation (post #270).
I call fadeblue on his post and throw a slight suspicion towards Choco for this. Choco then, perhaps realizing his mistake, unvotes Prizm and votes fadeblue. This now appears to me to be a delaying tactic, to keep the vote from growing on BD. He never votes for basementdwellers.
So now I am shown to be right about BD, but interestingly, Choco has NOT gone back to voting fadeblue. Why not? If he was willing to vote him before my suspicion was confirmed, why the heck won't he now? Especially when an inspector has confirmed my suspicion. Instead, Choco has done nothing but say he is thinking about investigating today.
I still want to go after fade first. But if you want another target, here's your man.
Please discuss.

You just seem too clumsy at pointing the finger at people to be a real investigator.
actually, the clumsiness comes from this being my first mafia game... along with inexperience, could anyone tell me what FOS means?
also, the reason I said I mistook fadeblue for someone is because I was thinking of backing out of my accusation of fadeblue, but I realized it was to late, and I might as well just put my cards on the table
I deffinately like the case against Choco. That vote in post 270 came without anything else. Every inch of text was a vote, and that just doesn't bode well. Then you have his sketchy voting patterns outlined by Axelrod... Fadeblue even points out his sketchy vote in post 283. I accept this case, at least for now. I'm going to see what Choco has to say before voting, though.
I also find it amusing that Fadeblue said this:
Cthulhu uses slime? I really don't know anything about Cthulhu... I guess I should go do some research on that.
So why not research the Cthulhu? Action: Research the Cthulhu and any cults assosiated with it. Let's see what happens.
I like how axelrod has no hosting experience and thus has no idea what DB was doing. I also like how he used some quotes out of context (in context being reading every post 3 before a quoted post and seeing if any of them influence the material in the quote.) Yes, he did do that with the CHOCO quote, but only because it backed him up.
Blader, was that 55 in your post a 5.5k offer?

So...why would you consider backing out of your accusation of fadeblue if you're positive he's mafia? O_o
I'm not entirely sure what to make of the fadeblue/eci4 thing right now, so I'll unvote fadeblue. For now, anyway.
The case for Choco is interesting, but I'm not sure I buy into it more than the case for fadeblue. I don't know what to think right now. :/
So...why would you consider backing out of your accusation of fadeblue if you're positive he's mafia? O_o
Because I could get hit by the mafia seeing as they would know I knew about fadeblue..., but then anyway, I realized, hey, fadeblue is mafia, and they really have no reason to kill anyone, I gave them a reason to kill me, I might as well let everyone know what I know...
it was a stupid mistake made by me to be so quick at accusing fadeblue....
Because I could get hit by the mafia seeing as they would know I knew about fadeblue..., but then anyway, I realized, hey, fadeblue is mafia, and they really have no reason to kill anyone, I gave them a reason to kill me, I might as well let everyone know what I know...
Except that you didn't think about the possibility that I'm NOT mafia, in which case there was no target on your head.
Your vote/research/unvote posts gave no indication that you actually knew anything, so there was no need for you to come out in the open. If you really are some kind of inspector, you've unnecessarily surrendered yourself.
it was a stupid mistake made by me to be so quick at accusing fadeblue....
I'm going to tell you right now, that in a game like this, I am not going to go out there and admit that I am a vanilla townie just to get everyone off my back whether it be true or not. I am going to attempt to defend myself (not totally likely since I usually suck at it) in hopes to get you guys off my case.
This is what I found out from my action that I took, since no one before seemed interested at all before (not a direct quote):
While I was there I heard some gossip from the bartender:
- The bar accross the street from this one is run by the Illuminaty, the kind where you could wake up from your drunken escalades in a tub of ice lacking your kidneys and other organs.
- Someone saw a person wearing a cloak emblazoned with an inverted pentagram at Unsanitary's house last night.
-Prizm was seen dumpsterdiving last night. (sorry, but this one is a bit hard to not direct quote)
In fact, my action didn't go to waste like I was hoping it wouldn't. The only reason I said that Prizm had looked suspicious was the fact that you people had a bit of a case going and then I got the dumpster diving bit. I don't know how suspicious a dumpster diving person looks, but to me at that time, it did. Now, I am not the greatest detective so I tend to go with what has been presented to me and not do much investigating of my own. I tried something and it worked for the most part, so I am happy for the most part. I hope that this lightens the eyes that are no me at the moment.
Now for a few comments about my action:
- I wonder what Unsanitary is really up to around here. Has he been posting much at all? Has he tried to frame anyone? What has he done to help us or hinder us?
- Should I investigate that other bar just for sh*ts and giggles? Or should I use my action on something more useful?
- I'm still curiuos what happened to Prizm. Maybe he fell into that dumpster and got taken to the dump? It's possible, but not too likely.
I haven't voted for anyone yet since I think I might still need to defend myself. Plus I want to go back and see that everyone has against him. Right now I am tempted to vote for him just out of spite for him voting for me, but I am a reasonable man and will see what I find out in my research.
Axelrod, why is it a MUST that people should vote for me? You seem overly obsessed with this attack on me. Any further, and we'll probably see you resorting to bullying and coercion just to see me lynched.
How about you stop trying to take up all of the town's attention and let us work towards figuring out who the *real* Mafia are?
Actually, that was a part of my case against Choco. He voted for you at the end of day one, based (he said) solely on my logic, but now that what I am saying has been confirmed (BD was Mafia; eci4 has pinged you) NOW he doesn't vote for you? How much sense does that make?
He completely ignored this part of my case in his so-called "defense." That's why I brought it up.

Ok, so my efforts in researching the Cthulhu were great! I had all sorts of tomes and such. Among them was the notes from a recent meeting from a modern Cthulhu Cult! Amazing! So I've got all the names from the evil cult when I take a look at the leader's name... and black out. Of course I don't remember any names, so it was all pretty usless. It's just interesting.
One idea I just had now... what if we take an unofficial vote-survey thing to decide who has the most reason to die. We'll tally these up ourselves, unvoting whoever we're voting now so the day doesn't inadvertently end. Once all is said and done, and we decide who we want to kill by unofficial majority, someone can be nominated to post one and only one vote... therefore assuring that the demon kills like we want it to.
Anyone undesignated who votes after we decide will get suspicion... and we can persecute them as will be our wont.
Just spewing some ideas out there... oh, and INVESTIGATE FAYDH'S BACKGROUND... What can I say, I want to learn about myself.

Fayhd, this sounds like a decent enough idea, and I am for it...
unvote fadeblue
And yes, it is completly possible I wont be voting for Fadeblue in this, but I need something better than my proof to do that...
Faydh, that just seems too easy. I'm all for outsmarting crazy demon things that wanna kill us, but I doubt it'll work like we think. Meh, I'll do like you say, I just wanted to say that this might not end how we'd like it to.
This may seem out there, but what if whoever we nominate is immune to the demon? It would be a twist on a twist, to prevent us from getting a definate day kill. If we take that possibility into account, our best course of action would be to split up the people we're most suspicious of into two groups and nominate one group, along with half the town. That way, if I'm wrong, we still have a chance of offing scum, but if I'm right, we have a much better chance of offing scum.
Anyone else notice that on the front page Prizm is NOT listed as being dead, but merely "Missing." Any bets on whether or not he shows up tomorrow?
I can't see myself unvoting anytime soon. I suppose if the majority demand it, I would, but I'm not sure it's a particularly good idea. I very much doubt we would be able to reach an informal consensus with the number of Evil players still left in the game.
Still, if someone wants to nominate someone other than one of the people I have accused, go right ahead.
Maybe the Demon is DBs way of killing off the inactives?

I have a question for anyone that wants to answer. What are the chances that I might be able to find out something interesting if I go to the other bar accross the street that is owned by the Illuminaty and attempting to find something out over there?

I'm not an expert on secret societies, but I'd imagine that they are quite good at keeping their secrets... still, I'd say go right ahead. It's unlikely you'll think of a better action, and if you do, tell someone else to do it: We have enough actions to go around.
I personally would be willing to take a chance and go over there. Maybe there is a possibility that I could be recruited and be a spy for the rest of us. There are so many possibilities here, I'm not usre if it is useless or useful. *is confused*

Hahaha-no. It doesn't work like that. You get recruited, and you are on there side. Anything you say, even now, has to be taken with a pinch of salt. Even more so after you've ventured into a illuminati owned bar. Your credibility will drop.
Do you realize that there are, in all probability, members of the Illuminati among us, and that they all can read what you post here?
I bet you do, actually. These last couple of comments, Choco, seem to me like something a member of the Illuminati would say if he/she didn't want to be suspected of being one. Now, I don't know whether this makes you scum or not. But a big FOS: Choco just appeared over your head.
I agree with what Ged suggested a few posts back - I'd say that a player has summoned this demon, and is probably controlling it....
But then why bother with a nomination process? If it was some player who got to choose, they could just nominate who-ever they want, and its a free-kill. Also, why would they use such an ability now, it would be much more powerful in the late game. I think this is a random or triggered event, that nobody has 100% control of.
Maybe someone's just stupid, and they can only kill someone nominated.
*shifty eyes*
Yea, it is more likely that this is a random event. Note the wanting for post 66(6) from DB in the demon's appearence. On the other hand, maybe that means he wanted the person to trigger it then... I dunno. It doesn't really matter. Let's just get some nominations going.

Hahaha-no. It doesn't work like that. You get recruited, and you are on there side. Anything you say, even now, has to be taken with a pinch of salt. Even more so after you've ventured into a illuminati owned bar. Your credibility will drop.
Evil Chocobo of the Alliance of Rogue Deckers!

I bet you do, actually. These last couple of comments, Choco, seem to me like something a member of the Illuminati would say if he/she didn't want to be suspected of being one. Now, I don't know whether this makes you scum or not. But a big FOS: Choco just appeared over your head.

Well, it was a good idea anyway, Faydh.
*shifty eyes*
Yea, it is more likely that this is a random event. Note the wanting for post 66(6) from DB in the demon's appearence. On the other hand, maybe that means he wanted the person to trigger it then... I dunno. It doesn't really matter. Let's just get some nominations going.
