I'm a longtime Magic player in Orange County, California, the home of Disneyland. At this point, I exclusively play EDH/Commander (multiplayer), but I've played other formats in the past. The store where I play is usually closed on Saturdays and Sundays, and I just started a new job that makes it hard for me to play during the week -- so I'm looking for someplace in my area where I can get in a few games of EDH/Commander on the weekends. Speak up or message me if you have any suggestions or want to help get a group together!

I live in Escondido and I have kind of the same problem as you do but in a different circumstance. I am thirteen years old so I can't go to my closest game store that often for two reasons. Firstly, I cannot drive there and my parents cannot drive me often. Secondly, my closest game store is 30 minutes away for my parents to drive me.
I play EDH/Commander as well and much enjoy it. I play Child of Alara as my commander because I like to be unique with my playstyle, and play cards not many people would think are synergistic. I started by playing the lot of charms and confluences, and commands, but now I have minimized it to the best of the bunch. I have a budget so I upgrade as I go. The deck started at 50 dollars and is nearing 400. I am working on the key ramp peices now but I probably will go back on that because by the time I reach turn 12 (which occurs alot with my control deck) I either have 16 lands lying around or I just playing conflux, copied with cloven casting into 10 new cards and win
I'd love to hear what you play and maybe we could meet up at a convenient store.
I got tired of not having a regular place in Orange County to play Commander during the daytime on weekends, so I made a Meetup group to get something going. The link is in my signature. For anyone who is already on Meetup, please join the group, but if you want, you can just come and play without joining.
