I am playing for a few months now, my first name is Sebastian if you like to call me names
I play magic for a few months now. In November my Merfolk list (modern) is gonna be finished and I work on a Talrand Commander list. I played a prerelease so far and one draft with friends, but other than that formats that I am interested in are standard and legacy (legacy merfolk list) and of course modern. I don't know whats wrong with me, but I like all sorts of modern decks including Jeskai Control, Merfolk, Thing Ascension, Scapeshift, RG Breach and Mill. After Merfolk I am gonna acquire Thing Ascension or Scapeshift - luckily some parts are the same so I can start building the decks at the same time until I have to decide which I am gonna build first.
I am studying at the moment in Leipzig, Germany and budget is a thing if possible. Ah and also another quick story how I got into Magic. When I was younger in school aroung 4th grade I played Yugioh, Duel Masters and Pokemon. Some of the older and cooler kids were playing Magic all the time and they kinda laughed at us. In middle school I actually had a friend who played Magic but I never got into it. Then when I started studying I installed Hearthstone and watched streams. One of the cooles Heartstone-Youtubers was Brian Kibler. He was just straightout funny and a nice guy. He was talking about Magic often on stream and so I thought I might try it. I read endless articles and got into the magic loop. First prerelease was SOI. Funnily to close the story: I remember talking to my girlfriend about magic a few years ago before I came to Leipzig and I said those exact words (only in german of course to her):
"While I study I won't play Magic. It's too expensive. But one day I wann play this game."
Well. After being broke 2 months in a row and Merfolk almost finished I work with a budget of 50 bucks a month to insure I don't have to eat actual Magic cards
Anyways. My goal in this forum is to have a Primer one day and to get into standard - i would love to play in an event someday even if I need to borrow the deck.
