Thrust out of his homeland before he was even aware.
Left without purpose or meaning, he found both in the pits.
Howdy everyone, long time lurker, first time poster. Started playing in 2001, stopped in 2006, sold collection without knowing it's worth in 2007 (I estimate selling a $5000 collection for around $500), started over in 2011 once I got some of my old playgroup back living near me.
When I started playing there was only about twelve of us in our whole town, so limited card pool and nowhere to buy singles. I ended up playing I guess what you would call Vintage, though we didn't use the ban list (not like any of us had any of them anyway) constructed.
60 card minimum, no sideboard, pre-game discussion of power level to keep things fair, was always fun.
However, things change, people move, and your playgroup is gone.
So in their absence, I have sought new people and formats to play and have ended up enjoying Pauper, Modern, and EDH. Just getting into each and putting together decklists.
