Hey gang, my kids taught me Magic but are now too cool to play much with dad.
I first picked up the game with Portal: Second Age but then put it away until last year, so I don't have any friends who play. I have tried a couple of LGS here in town but that scene is the wrong fit logistically and stylistically. I love the game but its entirely casual love. I have enough real world stuff like work and family to be serious about, so I have no stomach to deal with snark, salt, and other unnecessary jazz. I just want to play this incredibly fun, challenging game with friendly faces. I'm still learning the game and greatly enjoy that aspect as well, so teach me! I don't mind taking my lumps if I'm learning along the way
I hope to find easygoing, mature folks who want to get together over an adult beverage or two to enjoy EDH, Modern, and whatever.
I live in central Seattle, so Card Kingdom and Mox Boardinghouse are kinda inconvenient. I was thinking that Chuck's Hop Shop in the CD or Gamma Ray Games on Cap Hill might work. My professional schedule varies quite a bit so some weeks days are good, other weeks it's evenings.
TL;DR
Want to start a super-chill EDH/Modern plus beer playgroup in central Seattle? Message me!
