Ferona keeps her smile and tries to act as confidant as she can.

Then she tries to persuade the other players that her card shows the highest value.
OOC: Diplomacy
The guards all look fairly worried about the way that Ferona is acting, than the large guard places another gold piece down on the table, "I ain't fallin for that trick. I will raise and see if you have the guts after we all take your money." after that comment the half-orc and the man with black hair smile widely and place another gold piece down on the table along with the man in the buzz cut.

then she produces another coin seemingly out of thin air and places it down confidently on the table.
OOC: sleight of hand if it matters.
once again she tries to unnerve the other players.
"More money for me" she shrugs.
OOC: bluff
As Ferona places the coin on the table she sees beads of sweat rolling down all the guards faces. "Any raises?" says the large guard with a slight tremor.

the guards look at each other. The large one slams a hand on the table and says, "Reveal in three, two, one, now!"
As the cards are revealed you see that the card in Ferona's hand was a queen. The large guard shoves the pile of ten gp over to Ferona and says, "Fine, take your gold, witch."

Keelan chuckled. "Nice plays, Ferona. Maybe you can use that gold to keep us housed tomorrow." He got up and stretched luxuriously, his knuckles brushing the ceiling, in full view of the large guard. "Might want to call it a night though--quit while you're ahead."
Ferona smiles easily at each guard, not bothered in the slightest by the comment.
"I won? Beginner's luck i suppose. Thank you Keelan. I'm sure we don't need to worry about having a roof above our heads anymore."
She scrapes her chair back and stands.
"Well, this was fun and all, but i suspect I'm gonna have a busy day tomorrow and I'm sure my luck will run out eventually. Theres no way I'll be able to beat such skilled guards twice in a row. Good night, and thank you for the game."
She wanders over to the halfling pocketing her winnings in her purse.
"May I have my room for the night?"
The next morning when everyone wonders down to the main area, they see the guards are no longer at the table, either asleep of gone. They see at the table, however, the man that was the bodyguard of the prince, adorning chain armor, a large blade and a large shield. On the table he has several bags laid on it, "Morning."

Teveruz comes down the stairs in the begining hours of dawn. Seeing the bodygaurd, he takes a seat. "So, I take it you'd like to wait for the others before telling the plan?"

Ferona wanders down the stairs, yawning and rubbing the sleep off her eyes.
"Mornin' everyone"
She looks around and sees only the bodyguard and Teverus is up.
"No one else is up yet? I should've kept on sleeping." she grumbles.
"Nonsense, the sooner everyone is up, the sooner we can all go down. Besides, I was just asking your friend um, umm... what are your names exactly. I should always know the names of those I travel with, it helps create the first bits of trust."

Crowbeak creaks down the wooden steps, humming a light druidic chant, just after focusing to recollect his spells. "Hullo there, and a jovial morning to 'yuh!" he exclaims. "You can call me Crowbeak, if you wish. Rare enough a man can say my proper one!" he chuckles.
"I do not think that anyone could say your name proper Crowbeak."
Ira says with a yawn and half a smile....
"Be it man or beast."
She walks down the steps with an even grace and takes her seat.
"My name is Ira... I am sorry but I did not catch your name last night. what might it be?"
she addresses the guard in her polite tone clearly showing her accent.
The man lays down his shield and shakes Ferona's hand, "Name's Bijoran, nice to meet you all. And by the way Crowbeak, even if I can't pronounce your name I would still feel it polite to know it."
"My true name is Pakanallinenitametsä," he says, dropping into the Druidic language. As he utters his name, something about the air... changes for a split second, as if nature reacted to it. Much lighter, he added "So, what's the plan?"
Bijoran stars blankly at Crowbeak for a few moments and says quickly, "Crap, Crowbeak it is." He rubs his face and finishes with, "It's a few days to the next town on the prince's list. We can get there a day or two before him, set up watch and find where he goes minutes after he escapes."
