"I agree, this conversation is only going to attract our enemies. I suggest communication be cut to a minimum. So, if you don't mind I'll stick to the shadows, just follow my voice when necessary." Z says as he allows the shadows to finish covering him and vanishes from the eyes of everyone nearby
"Damn! What in the name of the Spider Queen's Drider pet sock puppet is going on!?"

Blasphemy! The system is perfect. The ability to create a spell to duplicate gods at skill check DC 10 is totally balanced and doesn't say anything about the system's viability!
And yes, no incantatrix for you. Or anyone. That class makes puppies cry. Mostly because they are the former Big Bads who have been Baleful Polymorphed into said puppies. By you. Because you're an incantatrix.

...Something tells me that even should all arcane casters in the world unite, that the Grease spell would NOT be sufficient.
Noticing the presence of something ahead Z uses the shadows to move to a higher vantage point within the caves. Trying to make it to the top of a rock ledge and look down at the concealed monster

Shadow jump's all nice and dandy, but what are you landing on?
For clarification: In the area that you are currently at, there is no protrusion you can stand on unless you can manage a Balance check of a DC somewhere nearing 60 or so, because you'd be standing on a toe at this point.

"But you see Alacar Leoricar," Serato responds; "You mistake this as purely philosophical discussion. This has everything to do with the Essence, and why we are looking for it to begin with. Now, let us be silent."
"If it is undead, we haven't got much choice." Stohr responds, looking at Delamare. "Not like I would feel mercy for them vile beasts, though. Just better make sure what it is before we do anything."

The soft glow of the minotaur's sword intensifies into a rapidly pulsating green energy. The gem on the bottom of the sword begins to glow with a soft white light.
The minotaur draws the falchion, slowly, deliberately from its sheath. His eyes glow grey for a moment as he confirms the shadow dancer's sighting.
Delamare indeed detects undead; a relatively strong aura.
Slurping sounds become audible to even the most unobservant of the group, and the thing looks up...revealing a tentacled monstrosity where its face should be.

"Better safe than sorry. It doesn't look too friendly.." Stohr thinks as he looks at apachai's face for confirmation of the creature's type. "If it's living, this won't hurt it anyway, I suppose. But it definitely is an abomination to nature, and even as such needs destruction."
Before he's gotten a proper confirmation, Stohr expands his shimmering light to encase the whole group, and walks towards the beast, releasing a bright burst of flashing positive energy to the air around himself, floating to all directions around and sparkling like thousand stars at night in the darkness of the cavern.

I have to attack aberrations at sight with Gaia bound, so.. Meh. I bet it is either aberration or undead, or both. Or demon, in which case I'd attack it at sight anyway.
You all now have: Immunity to fatigue, exhaustion, ability damage and drain, energy drain, death spells, magical death effects and negative energy effects, Immune to special abilities of undead that cause fear, disease, paralysis or poison. Ghost touch property on all your weapon attacks. +4 Sacred bonus to AC against undead.
Lasts 28 rounds.
I then use Burst of Light, heals 250 and restores ability damage as restoration, the monster must make will save DC 46 Will Save for half damage, assuming it really is undead.

Does that apply SR, or is it supernatural like most binder abilities?
And Amadi, yes, you're going to attack it. Its type is not technically aberration, but it resembles one so thoroughly and IS one in everything but type.
Also, it's undead. Very, very undead. But not demonic.

As soon as someone mentions the presence of undead ahead, Kaulesh flicks his writs. The group members who have adventured with him previously hear a familiar muttering and everyone suddenly feels a bit faster and more agile (OOC: haste on the whole party (duh...)).
When he can finally see the creature, Kaulesh wastes little time.
I'll post my actual combat actions shortly once I have an idea of what everyone else's immediate reactions to this thing are.
Far be it from me to stop the swiftblade from casting haste. Waiting on at least a couple more people to post actions before I commence the badassery...
