The King of Iron Chef Salvation Tournament
THE CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
Iron Chef Green Chimpanzee
~versus~
Iron Chef Black zu_Faul
Welcome to Salvation Stadium....
I am your Chairman, The American Nightmare
Rules - Maybe you want to know them
1. The battle will begin with the Chairman choosing a card to be the 'secret ingredient' of each match. Multicolored cards will count as both or all of their colors. (Example: If the Chairman chooses Vindicate, it can be the secret ingredient of both Black and White). Use the official Oracle wording.
2. Both the Iron Chef and challenger will have three days to make and post a deck that features the 'secret ingredient' card. There MUST be four copies of the card in the deck, and at least three in the maindeck (you can have one in the sideboard). Sideboards are not required for your deck, but it wouldn't hurt.
3. After the three day time limit has passed, I will post a poll featuring the matchups and the decks. If a player does not post a deck or edits the deck after the time limit has passed, they are immediately disqualified. The poll lasts for two days and the people, the Salvation community will decide the winner. [NOTE: Yes, you can vote for yourself as well as vote in the other match-ups.] If the poll ends in a tie, there is no winner to that match and an immediate rematch will be scheduled. Only The American Nightmare and will be prohibited from voting in the polls.
4. Decks made for the matchups must be legal for the Legacy format. If you do not know the Banned and Restricted List for Legacy, here is a link to the Legacy B+R list. Decks do not have to be mono-colored. (Example: If Iron Chef Red is making a deck that the 'secret ingredient' is Fire Elemental, they can make it a red-green deck as long as it appears four times overall in the deck.) You can also include a brief explanation as to the goal of your deck. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE THAT YOUR SUBMITTED DECK IS LEGAL!!!
5. Decks are judged based on originality, creativity, how well they used the 'secret ingredient', and the overall strength of the deck. You may also consider which deck would win if the decks played a series of games. When your deck is finished, either post it on this thread or Private Message it to The American Nightmare. [NEW RULE: Only participants of Iron Chef Salvation and posters with at least 50 counted posts will be allowed to vote in the polls - TAN ]
6. Any of these rules can be changed at any time. I will announce updates to the rules as they are decided upon. There will also be rounds when I make a 'special rule' for your battle. Sometimes, a special rule battle may need additional time to make the deck. Example: I may decide that the decks must be a Highlander format deck where other than basic land (and the secret ingredient) you can only have one copy of every card in the deck.
For this one tournament, if there is a tie, there will not be a rematch. I WILL CAST THE TIEBREAKING VOTES. For this, please allow me the honor of being a little greedy.
Reasoning: I chose All Suns' Dawn for this round because I believe it is one of the best cards from Mirrodin Block that never got played simply because of how degenerate the format was. Several cards from that Block didn't get played because of that evil known as affinity. This one was my personal favorite.
If Jobie and Darksteel Underpants would like to post to explain why they chose the card they did, that would be welcome as well.
To be clear, each card is its own separate battle. To win this match, either Chimpanzee or zu_Faul must win two out of three battles
Due to the importance of this match, and the fact that both Chimpanzee and zu_Faul will need to build three decks, this round will be extended.
The deadline for decks this round is Monday, November 20th at 8 PM EST (7 PM central, 6 PM mountain, 5 PM pacific)
No exceptions.
Good luck players.

Don't read anything LaPille. Your brain will thank you later. ----> VICTORY!
The reason I selected Last Laugh was because I like to see somewhat mediocre cards made into something special. I believed that it would indeed present a challenge to both Chimpanzee and zu_Faul to see how they would utilize the symmetrical effect to their advantage.
---
I would like to publicly congratulate both Chimpanzee and zu_Faul for making it to the final match. I know they have done an excellent job as Iron Chefs and either one would make a fine representative as the first King of Iron Chef Salvation. I am proud that my creation had enough interest and time dedicated to it that this event was possible. The American Nightmare has done an excellent job and I am absolutely sure that Jobie will take ICS to new heights.
Good luck to everyone involved.
