Would anyone be interested in participating in a 2CB format?
Two card blind. Two cards. Played just like the normal card blind formats. No extra lands coming from outside your deck each turn.
Only banned cards are cards banned in Vintage Magic.
Rules
0. Overview
Two Card Blind (2CB) is a weekly Magic tournament, run entirely within this forum. To compete, players submit two-card decks which are played against each other. Scoring assumes optimal play, without randomness or concealed information.
1. Game Rules
1.1. Except for the changes described in these rules, games follow the rules of Magic.
1.2. Players' decks contain exactly two cards, which begin the game in hand. Players do not mulligan or sideboard.
1.3. Players' libraries begin the game empty. A player does not lose the game as a result of being unable to draw a card.
1.4. A random effect produces the result that least benefits the owner of the source of the effect.
1.5. Each deck plays two games (one match) against each other deck.
1.5a. Each player is the starting player once per match.
1.5b. If no player can win, the game is a draw.
1.5c. Games are played with perfect information.
1.5d. Games are played optimally; players attempt to win, draw, or extend the game – in that order.
2. Tournament Rules
2.1. Players submit decks to the 2CB moderator.
2.1a. A player submits exactly three decks to the moderator.
2.1b. An illegal deck is not counted. The removal of an illegal deck does not affect deck distribution.
2.1c. The moderator determines the result of each match. Players may challenge results, but not after the results of the first round belonging to a new month have been posted.
2.2. Decks are subject to some restrictions.
2.2a. A player may not submit a deck that can – against any deck – win the game before an opponent's second turn.
2.2b. A player may not submit a deck that can't win both games of a match against at least one deck satisfying 2.2a and 2.2c.
2.2c. A deck may include any number of any card legal in Vintage (Type 1).
2.2d. A deck may include any number of any card that will become legal in Vintage upon release of a set that has been revealed fully and officially.
2.3. Points determine tournament standings.
2.3a. Players are ranked – first to last – in order of decreasing number of points. The deck with the highest point total amongst the three decks submitted will represent the player's score.
2.3b. For each match, a player earns 3 points per game win and 1 point per drawn game. However, a player earns only 2 points for a split match (one win, one loss).
2.3c. A table of match results is posted each round. Its rows represent players and its columns represent opponents. Match results reflect the combined result of both games played in a match; 3 is a game win, 1 a drawn game, and 0 a game loss. "S" may be used instead of 3 to denote a split match. A deck's points are listed at the end of his or her row.
Deck Submission Deadline:
Friday June 3, 3:00 AM GMT-5 (EST).
To make matchups more interesting, I'll have people submit multiple decks. The only issue now is scoring. I'm leaning towards having all your decks compete against each other and everyone else. Only the deck with the highest score out of the multiple decks you submit will count for your score.

You might want to cap the number of submissions per person. Consider that I could submit a number of decks (or millions of copies of the same deck) that will lose quite effectively to some narrow card but will generally 3-3. At this point, the game seems to degenerate to submitting the most decks.
I've had EXTENDED discussions about matches like these with PersonMan, the last person to run a very successful 2CB here on MTGS. Be prepared to figure out matches like that.
EDIT: Just read the clause on no extra lands per turn. I would be cautious about that clause, since decks will ultimately just be Black Lotus + X most of the time, and then the game feels like a very limited version of 1CB for 80% of the decks. You couldn't even Mangara + Karakas in this format effectively.
Mogg - I decided on having people submit three decks. I put it in the official rules.
domogrue - Storage lands exist, so if you want to ramp up mana, you'll have to include one of those cards. This isn't intended to be the exact same version of Personman's 2CB. Guess I need a better name.
Your decks will compete with each other in addition to your opponents, which might add another layer of strategy to the game. Do you make one good deck that can beat your other decks? Do you make three decks that tie each other? So many possibilities.
I don't like this 2CB game because you need to devote a slot to a mana source, which effectively makes it 1CB if the mana source is a storage land. As a result, there's not a significant amount of strategic difference between this and 1CB.
Personman's 2CB format was amazing, though, and I'd love if that were started up again.

/in !
I think the 3 deck thing could be interesting. Allows us to pursue different paths when we're not sure what we want to do.
No longer staff here.
