Seeing as how everyone and his brother has a CB game in the works, I thought I'd toss one out and see who swings.
The game I have in mind is a variant on the XCB games, with one major twist: one card is variable. Let me explain: The first (X-1) cards are fixed, just like regular XCB. The last card in the deck can, when the deck goes first, choose one card or another as kind of a sideboard. Here's how the decklist will look:
So, a sample 4.5CB deck would be:
Major Kira
Black Lotus
Black Lotus
Kira, Great Glass-Spinner
True Believer/Dissipate
So, when this deck plays second, the 4th card is set as True Believer. When the deck plays first, however, it can choose between TB and Dissipate. Since he can see his opponent's deck, he will choose the better card.
you give me the x and ill build a deck, but i have a feeling your going to have trouble working it out and alot of people who say "no i wanted to use this card in this game" when the results come in

Shouldn't be a problem; The idea is that when playing first, the player chooses the better card to deal with the opponent's deck. If the primary deck card is actually better against the opponent, no change will be needed. The defending player (going second) doesn't get that choice; he plays with his main deck as is.
Too complicated in my opinion. I'd rather see something like a manadory card and the number of other cards choosen each week.
Say This week: 3+Mother of Runes or 2+Black Lotus or 4+Story Circle
But who know's i'd probally play your game too.
Based on the feedback I have read so far, I am leaning toward 3.5. I'll let this go until monday, and read the comments and then initiate the official game at that time.

Good idea? Bad idea? Yellowish-blue?
3CB #41 is almost exactly 3.5 CB, except that the variable have to be fetched by the same type of Wish.
3CB #52 and 3CB #51 are less similar, since the "Extra" card has fewer choices.
Thought that might give you some food for thought

Edit: A good omen? The 3CB in this format is one that I won! (Because I realized it was actually 4.5 CB)
