So apparantly WWE and Sting are talking monikers for him. So it looks like last night's "Contract vs Title" match was Sting's last match in TNA. I've got mixed feelings about this. As much as I want to see Sting in WWE's HoF, I don't want to see him get smashed for a year to get it. However, I think the perfect angle would be allow Sting some time off. Around July/August, have Flair come back and be a manager to a heel. Have him constantly involve himself in the match. Have Sting show up and challenge Flair to "One More Match". Make it at Wrestlemania. Will it be a classic barn burner like their previous matches, no. But it's nostalgia and it would be AWESOME!!!.
I hope this "contract" stuff won't backfire on the WWE. There is a rather big lawsuit that is still pending (waiting for more investigation to be done) regarding TNA former employee who breached contract negotiations with the WWE when he gave the WWE information about TNA contracts (Every contract has something in stating you cannot share certain information within the contract).
Other than that one thing, I hope the WWE does sign Sting in the near future.
I dunno about anyone else but I got reminded again why I don't regularly follow WWE product anymore.
Cena vs Orton just seemed like another way to continue the feud and not let Cena lose clean. I expect WWE to keep this feud going.
I'm not unhappy or surprised with the ending. I mean I'd expect them to let Batista win since he just came back. Maybe I'm not sick of seeing the guy on tv since he spent all this time away from wrestling.
This PPV did nothing to make me wanna follow the product on a weekly basis though
thanks for telling me, I covered the spoilers in tags now
This PPV didn't really do much to get me interested with WWE though
np
but yea, the rest of the PPV was predictable to a point. I enjoyed the Wyatt/Bryan match though.
Nash coming out to the nWo music was cool. Nice to see him last longer than 10 secs. like, oh, say JBL?
why he was even an entrant is beyond me. They could of had Jake the Snake do that too.
but good lord did that crowd get mad when Rey came out and they realized Bryan was NOT in the Rumble match. When Batista and Roman were left, Roman was getting some damn good pop, and then the crowd let loose again after Batista won.
My favorite moment of the Royal Rumble? Mick Foley putting a brick through his TV on Monday due to how horrible the PPV is. When you have a WWE employee Mick Foley going on Twitter and Facebook and calling out how you suck as a company and how your PPV sucked and how the fans went home angry... I have no hope for Wrestlemania. None whatsoever. The rumored card is all but confirmed... the only question is whether or not WWE pulls the mulligan switch and tries to save their craptastic Wrestlemania card.
Let me put it this way. I played Shaq Fu tonight. That was more fun than the Royal Rumble match. Worst PPV I've seen since December to Dismember. Yes, the PPV was THAT BAD.
The Royal Rumble was the most predictable PPV in a very very long time.
The Bryan/Wyatt match was good but that was about it (heck, the pre-show was better than the Royal Rumble PPV, Goldust/Cody and the NAO stole the entire show). I wanted to throw up when JBL said the Brock/Big Show match stole the show. Cena and Orton was painful to watch, like I expected it to be bad but that was probably their worse yet and that says a lot.
They could have done something special with this PPV, they could have made a new super star but no, they wanted to give it to a mid 40's, will be gone in two years, openly said he hates the PG product, hasn't contributed to the product in four years and just came back guy. Smart move WWE, smart move :thumbsup: The absolute only way I will be interested in WM 30 now is if it is Batista and Brock for the WWE title, since that's fresh and new.
I'm actually angry that I bought tickets for RAW tonight because of how terrible Royal Rumble ended up being.
That crowd, Mick, and everyone else who vocalized their disapproval of the Royal Rumble were right and need to continue to be vocal about it. That PPV and the way creative are handling things are absolutely atrocious.

That crowd, Mick, and everyone else who vocalized their disapproval of the Royal Rumble were right and need to continue to be vocal about it. That PPV and the way creative are handling things are absolutely atrocious.
I imagine the crowd for raw tonight will be just the same as the rumble, it will be funny to watch.
I do think they went a bit overboard last night though. All the chants and booing it was pretty bad.
I don't know, I think it's kind of disrespectful to the "entertainers" in the ring to boo and chant Daniel Bryan's name. To me the best part of the Royal Rumble was
Roman Reigns absolutely housing everyone at the Rumble, including 2 members of the Shield.
It is disrespectful to do that, but it's also disrespectful to the fans to continue to shove a garbage feud that few have cared about from the get go down our throats.
It's sad that it has gotten to the point where there's xpac heat on the Orton Cena feud, but it's just so damn boring that I, as well as numerous others, legitimately don't care. There are guys that are over that should be getting pushed somewhere like Ziggler and Cesaro. There are guys that are slowly getting there like Reigns. There are dudes who are under utilized and could reach upper mid card to headline status like PTP, Usos, Sandow, Fandango. All of these guys, however are taking a back seat to stale performers like Big Slow, Lesnar, Batista, and Orton (and the Rock last year).
You can't make superstars of the future if you continuously squash their attempts at getting over (sup fandangoing and Zack Ryder). The only guys who have been done right so far is Bryan, The Shield and Wyatts. They were toeing a dangerous line with Bryan though. Bryan really needs to be utilized more because he IS a superstar.
A WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) star has apologised to fans who were disappointed he did not appear in the Royal Rumble main event on Sunday.
Daniel Bryan blamed organisers for his exclusion from the match in the US.
"Sorry guys, the machine wanted me nowhere near the Royal Rumble match. But I thank everyone for their support," he wrote on Twitter.
Some fans at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh appeared upset when they realised he would not appear.
Many people have also expressed anger on social media, with the phrases #RoyalRumble, #WWE and Daniel Bryan all trending on Twitter.
Bryan added on Twitter: "They try to keep US down and away from the top spots, but they can't ignore the reactions forever. Keep voicing your opinions."

at least they made Roman Reigns looks strong. Knowing the way that they book stuff now though, they're not gonna do much with it. I wish they would though
I keep trying to get back into WWE but I always end up remembering why I stopped watching in the first place.
I keep telling myself I'm gonna try and find time for RoH but maybe I actually will this time
After tonight I am wondering if this will be the scenario for the main event of Wrestlemania:
Batista vs Brock at Elimination Chamber, Brock somehow wins (not clean) and claims he deserves the main event shot at WM but Batista still has his shot because of the RR victory. John Cena wins the title at Elim Chamber (only time this happening would be okay with me :p) thus securing his spot in the main event of WM and Randy the following night at Raw says he is using his rematch clause at WM.
Thus setting up a Fatal 4 Way/Elimination Match between Batista, Cena, Orton, and Brock for the title at WM. I personally would be okay with this, it would be fresh.

Please no. As delighted as I would be to have the four most boring dudes together in a match (throw in ADR and it's snoozefest for sure), I'd rather it be for a meaningless thing instead of a headlining match at WMXXX.
Also I really need to remember to get decent seats next time I go to raw because nosebleed crowds suck the energy out of everything.
Please no. As delighted as I would be to have the four most boring dudes together in a match (throw in ADR and it's snoozefest for sure)
Brock isn't boring (except when with Big Show but then again who isn't?). I will agree on the other three though.
And as much as I don't want what I suggested, it's better than Batista vs Orton/Cena.
I would much rather see Bryan vs Punk for the title with 80,000 people screaming YES!YES!YES! and having one of the best WM matches of all time. But we aren't getting that :(.
I'd rather it be for a meaningless thing instead of a headlining match at WMXXX.
It's meaningless no matter where they are or what it's for because even if they are going on last, they won't be the main event nor get the loudest response. Bryan or Punk will steal the show, with whoever their opponent is.
Also it looks like we may actually get the Wyatts vs the Shield. I am okay with this.
It doesn't matter if they steal the show, because there is no payoff for doing it. They let Punk have the title for over a year, yet he still couldn't headline WM.
Well rumors are saying that Punk is gone. I hope that is all just a work and come Monday we'll see something otherwise. If Punk is gone, a lot of my interest in the current product is gone. There are a lot of great dudes on the roster but for the most part they all rot in terrible storylines.
Wyatts vs the Shield will be great for sure. Even better if they put it inside the elimination chamber. Those groups and Bryan are my last hopes for WWE. Even though once the Shield breaks up, Reigns will become Edge, Rollins will be a lower mid card face (probably Ziggler 2: Electric Boogaloo) and Ambrose will probably take ADR's spot as an irrelevant heel who never goes anywhere (despite being one of the best heels today).
Reports are indicating that Punk was supremely frustrated with his place in the company, and his inability to be the top guy in the company because John Cena. Further reports indicate that Batista being shot to the moon when he made his return was the last straw and it caused Punk's frustration to boil over.
I guess this gets Bryan a better WM match than the godawful plan of Bryan vs. Sheamus for the THIRD time at Wrestlemania.
While the newly planned match of Bryan vs. HHH isn't Bryan in the main event, it does start to bring closure to the storyline, and perhaps positions Bryan in the main event of Summerslam.
Of course with the knowledge of Punk leaving now out there, the beginning of Raw was less a reaction to the Royal Rumble, but more of a panicked reaction to Punk leaving their HHH vs. Punk WM and Punk vs. Kane Elimination Chamber plans in the lurch. This does not inspire confidence in the product.
CM Punk has talked about flat out retiring for good when he is done. And unlike a lot of other people, Punk can't exactly smoke Pot every day like Randy Orton or pop painkillers like half the locker room does. Nagging injuries take their toll from being on the road 300+ days a year. And when he sees people like Brock Lesnar, Batista, Undertaker and the Rock get better paydays than he does, better positioning on the card than he does, I can't honestly blame him.
He busted his butt to put fans in the seats and make the company money, and these part time people reap all the rewards for it. The added uncertainty of PPV bonuses with the WWE Network being what it is, I can't blame Punk for quitting. Punk has been extremely frugal with his money, so he doesn't need the WWE. The WWE needed him.
And when he got tired of the WWE treating him like crap, he walked away. Honestly, Punk looked really disinterested in the entire Royal Rumble. I honestly think he was thinking about quitting before the PPV, but he didn't want to disappoint people who traveled to see him, as the Royal Rumble is the 2nd biggest WWE event of the year.

I guess I can understand that, I just hope he isn't completely done with the WWE, maybe they can find him a non-competing spot in the company, maybe in talent development? or in the writing dept? I honestly think Punk would be a better storyteller than everyone else they have writing for them.
Also, he could come back as a part-timer occaisionally, you never know, lol.

He's a better EVERYTHING than the current staff. Him and Heyman could write a better month of tv and ppv than the entire creative staff combined. I am in the same boat as Punk, i'm sick and tired of enjoying wrestlers who continue to get squashed and ignored while the fans cheer them. I'm sick and tired of everything having to be about being 6'7" and huge and not about skill and showmanship. Batista winning the rumble pushed back the WWE by 10 years. 10 years ago is when most of us stopped watching and its gonna be the same again without Punk. I only hope that Bryan ether gets his due for some of these guys or calls it quits as well and shows the WWE what is wrong with it.
I've not had this large of a change of opinion in something in a long time. Everything was looking up with the Network launching and them entering the times. They might as well go back to standard tv, lose the HD and wrestle once a month with all faces winning.
I hope this "contract" stuff won't backfire on the WWE. I'm calling that he will be the "Mystery Investor" that has been in the TNA storyline side for the last week or so.
I doubt we'll ever see Sting in a WWE ring.
Taker and Brock Lesnar at WM30 seems more likely.
Didn't even know what was on the card before and still don't really care about the other matches
without giving anything away on the Rumble match itself, all I can say is:
That crowd got ****ed off after the #30 entrant came in, and to the end of the match. Good lord.
I'm not unhappy or surprised with the ending. I mean I'd expect them to let Batista win since he just came back. Maybe I'm not sick of seeing the guy on tv since he spent all this time away from wrestling.
