Raw was far and away the best it has been for months and months this week, if you haven't checked in in a while, its highly entertaining even in spite of it being more talking than matches.
I really liked Wrestlemania, it was a tad predictable but there was some really awesome stuff thrown in. I normally don't "mark" out and it's rare for me to do it more than a few times a year or get on the edge of my seat but I did it five times tonight. #1 Daniel Bryan winning the Intercontinental title (+ the hall of famers doing the yes chant with him later on), #2 NWO vs DX in the middle of the Sting/HHH match (which was an awesome match in and of itself), #3 The Rock and Ronda Rousey (who is one of my heroes, even before tonight) and HHH/Steph Wrestlemania 32 teaser, #4 Lesner vs Reigns, I thought they would stink the place out and was upset it wasn't Bryan vs Brock after Fastlane but my gosh the story they told was amazing and even I was becoming a believer of Reigns and getting excited at the nearfalls, he DESERVED to be there, and finally #5 Rollins cashing in MITB and winning the WWE World title, it was so very unique, doing so in the middle of a match, in the main event at Wrestlemania no less and winning it, something I doubt that will ever be repeated again.
I still liked Wrestlemania 30 just a little bit more overall because I am a fan of the underdog story of Daniel Bryan, but I can't wait for Wrestlemania 32 where I think they will break the all time attendance record and go well over 100,000 people at Wrestlemania, which means that card whatever it ends up being will be STACKED.
Wrestlemania 31 was one of the best Mania's of all time. They even justified the worst decision of the night (Sting Losing), with the HHH promo and the interaction with the Rock and Ronda. There wasn't a bad match on the entire card. The worst match was the diva's match, but it was still a good match in its own right.
The only question is... when are they turning Reigns heel. Because the crowds keep booing Reigns out of the building. It isn't the divided Cena reaction, its unanimous, deafening boos. WWE keeps having to do live crowd noise reduction for the TV broadcast in order to try to keep the boos off TV, and they STILL can't completely get rid of it.
I feel bad for Reigns, the guy has all the tools needed to succeed but when WWE puts it all in on him the crowd pulls a 180 and rejects him because they want to pick who gets cheered and who gets boos. I think with a much slower push than he had the guy would have been a top player but now I don't think he will ever get past the level he is at. I hope I'm wrong because there is no reason that all 3 members of the Shield can't succeed on there own.
He just isn't ready and I really think that is why there's so much blowback. The guy had what, one or two, high profile singles matches before being thrust into the wrestlemania main event? He could probably benefit from a heel turn and eventual face turn back but him winning mania would have not worked. He will be a star, but it will take some time for that to happen.
I'm sure he'll be much more well received next week when the crowd isn't the normal wrestlemania crowd.
Saying Roman wasn't ready is ridiculous, because first off, if this was last year, no one would of complained if he main evented wrestlemania and that would of been his first ppv singles match. Secondly, That was a great ******* match(as were his last two ppv singles matchs). Not only that, he was able to completely get squashed and not come out looking awful. He actually came out looking legitmately tough. I'm glad he didn't win, because the smarks definitely would of ruined the event. The bottom line is that the smarks want to pick who's gonna be number 1, and basically revolt everytime it's what they don't want. Wrestlemania was really good and most people were really happy with the ending and most of the matches to be honest, but the fans at Raw the next night were still awful.
I agree it was a great match, but I can't see him being the guy yet. I just don't see it. I felt the same way last year too. I just don't see what people see in Reigns yet. He could become the next Cena, but I don't see all the parts necessary yet.
I agree that the smarks would have ruined the event, much like how they did the main event on RAW. But I kind of wonder if the main event on raw didn't have Big Show and Kane in it if it would have gone like that.
I was uninterested in the main event even though I'm loving what they're doing with half of the guys in the match and don't mind Ryback right now either. The lack of interest is that Kane and Big Show are stale. Big Show can manipulate the crowd like nobody else, but good god watching him do anything else is horrible.
I loved just about everything about RAW except for the main event. I'd rather see a Reigns/Rollins feud right now, but it's certainly understandable to have Orton in the mix. I almost feel like Rollins will probably drop the title to either Reigns or Ambrose at Summerslam. It'll probably be to a heel Reigns at that point, but I at least hope that Ambrose gets thrown a bone too. Dude hasn't won a PPV match in almost a full year.
That Neville/Rollins match last night was glorious. I'm so glad they're letting Neville get some high profile matches early on even though he's going to lose them.
I also really hate that they took his first name off.

I agree with everything you said.
That rollins-neville match was the best match on Raw in months.
If their is one thing I hate more than Big Show *****ting up matchs, it's Mark Henry *****ting them up. PLEASE RE-TIRE
I think heel Sheamus is great but his new look negates everything, I just can't take him seriously. It just reminds me of Snitsky and I didn't care for him, for the same reasons.
I'm not a fan of the goofy beard, but the hawk I'm cool with. It definitely differentiates face Sheamus from heel Sheamus.
I agree about Mark Henry, but would also extend that to Big Slow and Kane. The current roster has so much talent right now and it drives me nuts to see half the show dominated by these guys who have nothing left to prove and are very obviously on the decline. I get that they are all giants and whatnot, but if you really need toughguy giant enforcers floating around, then maybe you need to send one of those guys down to NXT to work with guys like Big Cass and Baron Corbin. Big Show working with those guys could be incredible because Big Show knows how to manipulate a crowd like a boss.
Another thing that I really really like is how this Cena open challenge is allowing Cena to start to descend from being Superman a little. You don't have him pulling this bull***** steamroll job like he did to Wyatt right after losing to Lesnar. Keep him going in these really good intense close matches with the midcard and that title might be worth something. Similarly, having all these guys go toe to toe with Cena and barely lose like they have been helps to make just about the entire roster look like credible threats to Rollins.
I hope we see a Cena Neville match in the upcoming weeks leading up to Extreme Rules, but I doubt it would happen.
Hopefully Ambrose gets his dues soon. He can easily be the top heel of the company; it's just that Seth has already taken that spot. And of course, they both can't be heel, since it'd be harder to "6-month rule" Dean's immense hatred for Seth. Heel Ambrose would truly be able to shine on the mic, and his in-ring offense would actually make a lot more sense.
I think Ambrose is a better face but he just doesn't have anyone to feud with right now. I'm hoping they speed this Orton-Rollins feud along so we can finally get the Shield feud we were promised.
I don't see why Ambrose couldn't be the next Stone Cold type character who blurred the lines between being a good and bad guy. He's so good as a heel or a face and gets one of, if not the biggest pop of any given night. I hope he gets a chance one day to be the WWE champion and not stuck in the mid card one day, he's so good and so believable.

I agree that he can definitely fill that role of a Stone Cold type of character. He does typically get one of the biggest pops of the night, and the crowd is usually very active during his matches. However, the sadistic side of him can certainly open up the doors to a despicable, grimy heel. It probably would be better to keep him face, though, especially since it is very difficult for the WWE to build up new faces.
That RAW was pretty much balls with an exception of the BNB/Cena and Ziggler/Neville matches. The 360 splash from the barricade onto the floor was awesome.
As someone pointed out, look at who he is going against. Week 1, he beats Curtis Axel, who isnt top tier by any means, but still a solid wrestler. The important thing to note is that unlike other debuts, its not a "local" wrestler Neville was facing, but a main card guy. Next week, he wrestles the top guy in the company and actually has a back and forth match. Yes, he lost, but he put up a fight and showed that he can stand with the best. His next match was against Curtis Axel and gets a win. This past week, he has another competitive loss.
Essentially, Neville right now is shown as being able to handle mid-carders and be able to hang with the Upper-Mid card to the Main Eventers. Yes, he isnt winning, but right now it doesnt matter. He just debuted and right now is setting in stone some things, so that if he gets pushed later, we at least have a "Oh well, a couple months ago, he was hanging with Main Eventers in matches, so it makes sense he is in the title picture."

I loved the nostalgia from the Sting/Triple H match. Man if only that would have happened 15 years ago.
