Has anyone else noticed that very few bands have both men and women in them? The only ones that I can think of right now are "Edward Sharp and the Magnetic Zeroes" and "Of Monsters and Men".
There's tons. Here's just what I could come up with off the top of my head:
Talking Heads (and Tom-Tom Club)
Pixies
The Dirty Projectors
Kylesa
Made Out of Babies (and Battle of Mice)
Dark Castle
Massive Attack
Portishead
The White Stripes (and The Dead Weather)
Cibo Matto
Grateful Dead
Squirrel Nut Zippers
Archenemy
Cult of Luna
Throbbing Gristle (and Chris and Cosey)
Evanesence
Doomtree
How to Destroy Angels
Pigface
Acid King
Sleepytime Gorilla Museum
Tin Hat Trio
Faun Fables
Of Montreal
Fiery Furnaces
Digable Planets
The Fugees
The Sugarcubes
Crippled Black Phoenix
Sonic Youth
Elysian Fields
Jefferson Airplane
The Mamas and the Papas
Big Brother and the Holding Company
Boris
Midori
The Moldy Peaches (and The Uncluded)
The Velvet Underground
Blondie
The B-52s
Carolina Chocolate Drops
Swans
Skunk Anansie
Garbage
Cowboy Junkies
Alison Krauss and Union Station
GWAR
Belle & Sebastian
The Smashing Pumpkins (and Zwan)
Teenage Jesus and the Jerks
Chvrches
Hole
Crystal Castles
Sleigh Bells
Arcade Fire
There's a million and one Nightwish wannabe symphonic metal bands with a female vocalist, and more often than not a male backing band. In symphonic metal it actually might be more common than male vocalists (maybe).
Really I think there's a lot more mixed than all-female. Although admittedly all-male is still definitely the most common (at least among genres I listen to).

Million Paramore wannabe pop punk bands too, who is really just a No Doubt rip off so yeah, mixed is huge.
Also:
Butcher Babies
Otep
13 Winters
Five Point O
White Zombie
Edit: Also, The Devin Townsend Project album 'Addicted' features female vocalist Anneke Van Giersbergen.
She sounds fantastic in the title track and 'Hyperdrive'.
Eluveitie, Murder by Death, Flogging Molly, Within Temptation, Pain
imo, it's harder to find bands with female members who aren't vocalists.

Quite true. I can only think of two I mentioned before.
The female in White Zombie (Sean Usult I believe) was the bassist.
The female from Five Point O (don't remember her name even tho I met her(oops!)) plays a seven string Ibanez for the band.
EDIT 1: Also remembered that Samantha Maloney from Hole filled in for Tommy Lee of Motley Crue on the drums for a time... I believe when Tommy went to jail for the Pam Anderson fiasco.
EDIT 2: Looked her up. Guitarist for Five Point O is Sharon Grzlelinski. I just rember it being so cool to watch her jam on stage. Cute girl + *****in guitar + heavy metal = Awesomesauce.
Off the top of my head without repeating anything I noticed and without mentioning any of the numerous local bands the people here would probably never have heard of...
