Punks on facebook have me motivated to do something great. Greatness isn't given, but obtained. So here I am calling to the community to partake and help me partake in a grand musical musicalness.
I'm going to cover a song. On guitar. In the Hard Rock/Metal genre
But I want suggestions from ANY genre. Yes that means you can even suggest something that your grandmother listened to at her Homecoming back in '66 where she met your grandfather.
I want to see if I can get this overflow of creative juices to be condensed into an amazing track. Dependong on the song I might even throw in some samples and make it a Metalstep song (Dubstep+Metal)
I invite you to also try the same. Fret not, for those of you who are not Guitar Heroes in real life, for you can partake using your voice. Or your drums. Or your Xilophone. Or your Guitar Hero guitar in the cheat menu on Guitar Hero 3.
I honestly have no clue where to start. My first thought to do is a cover of When the Smoke Clears off of the Afro Samurai video game soundtrack, as it is one of my utmost favorite songs from that game, second only to Numify. I've already done a cover of Kimono Dance, which can be heard here www.reverbnation.com/skylerlarrew, and a video located here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fYuKFg195Ac.
The intro is a soundclip I edited and added samples of mortar fire and thunder/rain to from Age of Empires 3. It was to serve as an introduction as I walked on stage and played the song live at my school.
When I recorded for youtube after the show, unfortunately my guitar decided it was going to short circuit something fierce, which is why it sounds weird and sounds like it cuts out and isn't as crisp. There is a sound affect on though which is why it has a strange sound to it.
Realistically he should only be unblockable without equipment
Guard 1: There goes a sword floating down the street!
Guard 2: Well, he's unblockable, so ignore it.
Eat your greens kids, omnath does, and it makes him strong....
