I'm pretty content with the full mp3, I think it's cool. The tape flows so well between tracks, it'd be a shame to break it up and **** with his artistic take just so people can pick out songs yuh know. I respect the decision. haha
But who knows I could be way off and he releases a track by track on the 28th. haha
Captain Murphy said he'll have a track by track download on the 28th, with some bonus tracks and all the instrumentals. Right now I am listening to his one long, video-less MP3, which was made downloadable a day or two ago.
About Frox: for nearly 10 years, Frox has been helping women look good and feel great in easy-fit, mix-and-match, and work-to-weekend with just a few pieces by helping them make the right choices when it comes to clothing and accessories.
Heems has a mixtape out, by the name of "Wild Water Kingdom." It's not bad, shows off a lot of newfound versatility by the Jewish Reference-Machine of Das Racist. It's worth a listen, if only to bask in the beats (Killing Time is probably one of my favorite beats of all time, even if I think Heems was a bit lazy with the verse).
Pitchfork has a review for POS' new album. It's not strictly wrong, but it does a good job of totally ignoring the musicality of it- because, guess who wrote it? Mr. Ian Cohen. In the immortal words of Sole, "Ian Cohen ****ing hates hip-hop."

Although, to be honest, I'm a little disappointed this got revealed. It would've been cool if the mystery lasted forever but I guess that might've hindered some artist development.
Now, we all know the next logical step would be an absolutely insane collab between Capt. Murphy and Madlib's Quasimoto character. It has to happen, it absolutely has to!

Why didn't anyone tell me Das Racist broke up? Oh my god, that is so disappointing... I don't like them on their own. (<--- is super late to the goodbye party)

I don't mind them solo. Kool A.D's new mixtape is legit. Heems old mixtape is also legit. If I had to rate the solo tapes it would probably be

Nehru Jackets
Wild Water Kingdom
Palm Wine Drinkard
Was "No Love Deep Web" taken off the internet? All of the official download links I'm trying to use are giving me 404s and restricteds.
EDIT: Nevermind, got it. Hopefully it's as good as DivineChaos says it is. I don't know how I missed the release, I guess DG was still under my radar two months ago.

Das Racist was losing it's magic anyway. Their newer stuff was getting less good. I like them more solo, actually.
In other news, Capital STEEZ is dead. He died early on Christmas eve, actually, but I've been busy. I'm pretty ****ed up over it, dude was the best part of Pro Era, and modern New York rap in general. Dude reminded me of Nas with lyrics, and his beat selection was somewhere between MF Doom and Ghostface, but his flow was so much more diverse than all of them. I think, after an album or two (he only had a mixtape and a bunch of features), he would have gone down as a legend of New York rap, the way he can just effortlessly dart between underground intensity and old school relaxation, and the way Lyricism was always a key part of his music. Dude wrote most of the **** that everyone else in Pro Era said anyway.
His last words were a tweet, that read "The End." Bastard killed himself on us.

Yeah. Suicide. I regret to say I did not know him, since I don't follow Joey Bada$$'s crew or any other obscure rap gangs, but I listened to his stuff and he was good. Only 19 years old... He had a bright future ahead of him. That's really disappointing.

So I listened to No Love Deep Web. I really did not like it as much as Money Store. The beats were hollow, I really felt like I was drugged up listening to MC Ride yell at me and then go back to rapping with no regard for the beat's tempo, and the songs really weren't memorable. I think I actually had to fast forward through some parts of songs because they were making me uncomfortable (in a bad way). Whammy was my favorite one, and the last two songs were my other favorites -- the ones that ironically sounded most like Money Store songs.
If anything, I will remember the album because it solidified them as total anarchists and the release got them dropped from a label.

New A$AP Rocky. The song with Santigold on it is FIRE. Quite a few decent guest spots but the album is only average and Rocky seems to of regressed in skill and It REALLY shows. First, he seems to be lost in how to advance his style, he somewhat seems to have gotten where heripping off Lil B, and is continuing to copy other people's stlyes instead of trying to stick with the syrup-drenched southern style laid back style that got him where he is. He definitely steals so Yeezy lines along with some laugh burglary("HAH") in "****in Problems". Everytime he gets on a track with another great rapper, he gets absolutely murdered. He manages to put in a Lil Wayne-esque effort in having what is most likely the worst verse in his gang track "1 Train". Kendrick, Krit, Danny Brown, and especially Joey Badass absolutely murder it with a good effort by Action Bronson and a mediocre verse from Yelawolf. The Skrillex track is just bad. In short, the best tracks on the album are the ones that sound most like LivoLoveASAP(Goldie, PMW) or have some killer guest spots(1 train, Hell). With a lot of the rest being so-so.
I was thinking about who the current king of rap is, and I can't help but think that it's Big K.R.I.T with Kendrick a solid number 2.
Have you guys heard of Nujabes before? I don't know why I hadn't until a day or two ago when my friend sent me an album, because he is the exact type of music I love. It's a shame he died three years ago, his music is honestly some of the best I've ever heard. He's a lot like a more transcendental Madlib.
And while I'm here, something else I've been bumping to lately:
EDIT: Yep, I am totally overwhelmed by music right now.

But who knows I could be way off and he releases a track by track on the 28th. haha

Yeah. After hearing Between Friends i was pretty sure Fly-Lo did the entirety of Cpt. Murphy's prod. So, it's not such a huge leap.
