Supposed to come out late November, the audio in the trailer alone gives me chills. Those who saw it at sundance are raving about how authentically freaky the movie as well.
At first glance I thought it was going to be a generic "haunted house film", but the ensuing audio transformed it into something nightmarish
elMochaLatte is right = the audio is enough to keep me interested on this one.

(about the English language) It's kinda like a raft that was cobbled together from parts of three different boats and since then has been kept barely afloat with crude repairs every time a leak appeared.
Anything in the trailer that seemed like the Babadook talking or making noise seemed incredibly lame. But that said, the rest of the trailer seems fine, and I'll probably watch it, though I guarantee I already know how it's going to end.
2011: Best Mafia Performance (Individual) - Best Newcomer
2012: Best (False?) Role Claim - Worst Town Performance (Group) - Best Mafia Performance (Group) - Best SK Performance - Best Overall Player
2013: Best Non-SK Neutral Performance
2014: Best Town Performance (Individual) - Best Town Performance (Group) - Most Interesting Role - Best Game - Best Overall Player
2015: Worst Mafia Performance (Group) - Best Read
2016: Best Town Performance (Group) - Best Town Player - Best Overall Player
I think it's a legitimately good film, if nothing else for the narrative and the idea behind it. And the film is VERY tricky. It genuinely respects your intelligence and doesn't bother ever giving anything away for free. Yet most of the details are there.

I can't really talk about this without spoilers, so:
It seems to me like the movie is about the mother's rage at her son, and 'the Babadook' is that rage/grief, if I'm reading it right

Yup, that is my interpretation as well.
The Babadook isn't real, in that there isn't an actual monster named The Babadook.
Rather, the entire film is about a woman's mental illness and suppressed rage towards both her child and her husband.
I honestly love that a film dared to portray a family relationship in a manner that goes beyond stereotypes. It's the reason why I loved The Shining (the book, not the film) as well.
Family is incredibly messy and one can easily truly love someone while also hating their guts. And I am honestly pissed off whenever people try to paint family in such a simplistic black/white manner.
