The Hangover. Possibly one of the funniest movies ive ever seen. Loved the story line . Dont think they could have gotten any better actors for the film.
Just got finished watching "Little Children." What a great, great movie. I wanted to watch it because of Patrick Stewart and JEH being in it, since I loved them in Watchmen, and because I had heard it was nominated and won tons of awards.
It really was a great, albeit dark and saddening movie.
I'll second that, the movie was great and much different than expected. Seeing Jackie Earle Haley as a child molester, and seeing his awesome acting in the role, makes me SO much more excited for him as the new Freddy Krueger

Only spiderboy4 at High~Light could do it like this! Thanks spidey!
We took our five year old to see The Princess and the Frog yesterday and I was pleasantly surprised. It was much more entertaining than I'd expected--certainly better than Disney's previous attempts at giving their princess line a new palette (Mulan, Pocahontas, et al).
Hopefully we'll be able to catch Sherlock Holmes this upcoming weekend. We have Avatar slated for January 7th.
To band wagon it, I'll give a third to how good Gran Torino was. Clint Eastwood was just... well, another amazing performance.
More on topic, just got back from watching Sherlock Holmes. And I must say, as politely as possible, you must go see it now!!! WOW, what a great movie. I've never been a Robert Downey Jr. fan, but he shined in this performance. Very suspenseful until the end, with the right amount of action to boot. Also, it always helps when Hans Zimmer does the film score.
Just got back from Fantastic Mr. Fox about the most unique and interesting movie I have seen in 4-5 years. They got a great lineup for this film and if you love Roald Dahl at all seriously check it out it will likely end up being a classic.
Saw Sherlock Holmes yesterday and enjoyed it. I can't say that it was great, but definitely entertaining. They do well with establishing a reason for a sequel, a la Batman Begins' end foreshadowed the return of Batman's archnemesis.
I watched "9," Tim Burton's latest movie, two nights ago. I was awfully disappointed and stopped watching it a half hour into the movie. The movie didn't explain anything that was going on, why these little puppet-people existed... The action wasn't that great either.

The last movie I watched was Princess Mononoke My sister brought it from the Library and before we started I was getting pissed but it turned out okay. It got kinda' weird with the forest spirit and what not. All in all, it's a good movie. I recommend it for the people on the forums.
last movie i watched was district 9. very strange movie. it's like hotel Rwanda with aliens that eat cat food. very confused, about the whole point, besides aliens eat catfood, lightning bolt guns are awesome, and annoying government agency investigators get turned into cat food eating aliens

Saw Laserblast--The MST3K version. Damn terrible movie, perfect fodder for Mystery Science Theater 3000. Some of the best lines were about Leonard Maltin giving the movie 2½ stars and which other titles Leonard Maltin also gave 2½ stars to that were vastly superior to Laserblast.
Finally got around to watching Changeling, and it was excellent. Angelina's usually hit-or-miss with me, depending on the movie, but I thought she was great in this, as was everyone else. Highly recommended to anyone who hasn't seen it.

ok, i rented Gi Joe today, and i wasn't really thrilled with it. yeah the sonic weapons, and neo-viper guys were cool, but the random backstory twists and the snake eyes childhood rivalry was rather cliche. i mean a 7 year old kid stabs a kung-fu master in the back, with out him smacking him across the face? come on... alsp nanomites are devious little bastards......

"Avatar"
and i have got to say there was SOME amazing scenery.(closely resembles Zendikar)
Still not my favorite movie, but it is definately worth buying.
Avatar in 3d was awesome. I am surprise about the graphics and crazy animation. Everything looks so real. James Cameron is the best ever! I'll give this one 5/5
Finally saw Smokin' Aces. Been wanting to see it ever sinc eit came out, and finally did it. Mildly disappointed. It had a great premise, and a wonderful cast. But I just felt the plot started to fall apart and seemed silly. The action didn't even deliver.
Law-Abiding Citizen
It was decent, though quite predictable. I do like movies where the lines between the protagonist and the antagonist are blurred and you're not exactly sure who you want to root for.
