Well, you're basically using my argument that I'm using to vote for clinton to vote for Trump. So I can't fault the high level logic going on there. But you should look closer at the candidates on both sides and seriously question the scruples of both. It does not look to me like you've done your homework on Trump, that you've read as in depth into him as you have into Clinton. Nothing you wrote about clinton was something that was new to me. I'm aware that two clinton associates went to jail during watergate and one of the people connected to the whole thing committed suicide (anything beyond that is speculation as there's no proof). So, when I acknowledge that Clinton is morally dubious, I mean it. But Trump is amoral. There is no moral code there at all. And a solid study of his past reveals this.
Let me put it this way. Our choice can be compared to having to chose between having an Orzhov Scion (Clinton) as your ruler, or a Rakdos Ringleader (Trump). Which would you prefer to be in charge of your nation? Neither is a very good option, but one is clearly better than the other.

Moderators working Donald Trump's AMA banned 2200 users for asking difficult questions. [link] Free speech above all tho.
On topic: as ***** as Hillary might be, she's still the Democratic nomination. I'd rather the USA be run by Democrats than Republicans, because the Republican party has been racing to the bottom for a while now. I mean, Trumps VP keeps pushing conversion therapy for MOGAI individuals. That's ****ed up.
1, He asked them to turn it over if they already have it, not to actively pursue it. Please try to avoid misrepresenting what was said, even though it was almost certainly phrased that way as a "gotcha!" for the media outlets to unintentionally misquote him so he can start another controversy where he isn't technically in the wrong. It feeds directly into what he is after, and believe it or not, I'd still rather Trump not get the attention he craves.
perhaps you should recheck what he said because you are mistaken. Trump said: “Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing, I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press.”
He didn't ask them to turn it over he said he hoped they can find it. He is actively advocating another country uncovering classified information. If a sane person has any problem with how Hillary handled her emails then they should have equal issue with anyone else asking another country to uncover said classified information. So no, a Trump supporter can no longer condemn Hillary for being careless after Trump has directly called for another country to gain access to the same classified intelligence.
Try not to accuse others of misrepresentation and then do the same thing yourself please.
If Russia is "finding" these emails, where do you think they might find them?
1 - In their own servers containing data they've hacked into already
2 - As part of a trove they will get access to after hacking into a server FBI forensic investigators currently have possession of which I guarantee you is not connected to a network with access to the Internet?
Trump knows this, and even tweeted afterwards specifically saying that he didn't mean #2. #1 is the only option that makes any sort of sense. His statements were made intentionally for you to have the reaction you are currently having to steal the media's attention away from the DNC while leaving him enough plausible deniability to deflect any claims of personal fault. This tactic isn't new (for him), but everyone seems to keep falling into it, and that's why he's the Republican nominee instead of Cruz. Stop feeding into his nonsense. You aren't going to "get" him on accusations of treason. It's a game designed to keep Hillary from also getting a post-convention bump in the polls.
I tend to agree with this view. Trump wasn’t inciting Russia to hack any servers. He seems to believe that because the servers were already hacked, the damage was already done. In my mind, he seems to be making the mistake of not realizing that the dissemination of classified material is also a crime, along with the hacking, but it looks like that is a mistake and not deliberate incitement.
At any rate, the left-leaning media seems to me to be making too much of it. As above, it can only serve to give Trump a bigger microphone. It’s not as if Trump hasn’t already said dozens of things that implicate violations of the US Constitution, the Geneva Conventions, you name it. Hoisting this latest of his into the air for all to see isn’t likely to convince anyone that was already decided one way or the other, if that is the goal. More likely the media outlets just want more click-bait.
Also in what seems like a similar situation to me, different issue, I didn’t particularly like the DNC parading out illegal immigrants to tell their sob stories on day 1 of the convention. At worst, someone committed the crime of abetting an illegal immigrant on a deportation order, or violating campaign laws that prohibit the participation of foreign nationals in our elections process. But even at best, it shows immense disrespect for our immigration laws to have granted a forum as prestigious as that to persons who have admittedly violated the law. So even if not overtly criminal, certainly it was ignorant and careless.
In my mind, the bodies of voters that Hillary hasn’t won yet are to either side of her, and they consider wage stagnation among the working middle class and asset inflation to be the central issues of the election. Trump assigns blame for those things according to some prejudiced views, but Bernie supporters on the other side also see the same issues, only differ in explanation and proposed resolution. But either way, those issues are intertwined with expectations of social status that developed over multiple generations of Americans, and statistically impact Whites more than other groups. So, this tired old virtue signaling routine on illegal immigration just seems likely to further alienate those voters to either side of Hillary. Not a good move.

Really? You think it might be "abetting an illegal immigrant on a deportation order" to have someone covered by DACA appear at a convention?

For it or against it, a would-be executive flaunting her own unwillingness to enforce federal law is actually a big deal. Not unprecedented, I'm sure, but definitely noteworthy.
In light of the fact that one of the more frequent criticisms of Trump by the Democratic establishment is a willingness to violate federal law or fail to enforce federal law, it looks wildly hypocritical.
That's not to mention her handling of classified material which posed a serious threat to national security. She can't blame Russia for that one, can she?

Of course it's not unprecedented - the person in question has already received a deferral of her deportation. That's what DACA is. In what way is it "noteworthy" that Clinton and the DNC would have her come to speak? It's not like she's a fugitive on the run.
So again why aren't you demanding that George P. Shultz, James Baker, Warren Christopher, Madeleine Albright, Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice are all arrested and charged with war crimes. Again is it because you don't acutally give a damn about the law and just are desperately grasping as straws to make Hillary look bad?
For the record Clinton has only had 1 Embassy attacked under her watch, all the people I listed above had multiple Embassies attacked during there period of office so why no clamour for them to be arrested and charged?

How interesting. Clinton claimed those deleted emails were personal and did not feature any classified government information (and thus, nothing she's hiding from investigation). Trump says he hopes Russia discovers them, and Clinton's campaign accuses him of treason. But how could it be treason if those emails she deleted were indeed personal emails about yoga classes and wedding planning? Unless her campaign is confirming that Hillary lied about them being personal emails she deleted for personal privacy and that they were very much classified government messages exposing her suspicious actives; emails that pose a security risk if discovered by Russia. And whose deletion is indeed grounds for the FBI charging Hillary.
It is always hilarious how far people will bend over backwards to defend Trump. This is yet another example of Trump being seriously irresponsible with his words and the republicans refuse to see anything wrong with it. and in some cases praise him for his recklessness.

If they were personal emails that were deleted all along, as Hillary claimed, why would Trump's statement about Russia discovering them matter, or be considered treason?
Trump is an unqualified con artist on trial for fraud. He has only his own interests at heart. He is an unstable, lying fool with no experience. And his most enthusiastic supporters are the "alt right" Neo Nazis: "The Daily Stormer," David Duke, and more. His son was on a White Supremacist radio show and his media team's "Sheriff Star" tweet was sourced IN FULL from a racist-leaning image-board.
Personally, I'm Jewish. I've gotten swastikas and threats online (with my real name, not here) over Trump criticism: something that *never* has happened when I've criticized Romney, McCain, etcetera. His most rabid supporters online are Neo Nazis. I'm a **** to these people, somebody who's family should be exterminated and gassed in the Holocaust they don't even believe happened. And that's not a coincidence. Julia Ioffe, Dana Schwartz, Laura Silverman: see what Trump supporting, actively eager Nazis harass them. Pretty easy to Google.
This is somebody who's most excited supporters joyfully compare to Hitler. Count me out.
I've never had a presidential candidate in my lifetime terrify me. If he gets elected, I will get a gun and pray.
(Side-note: I'm not calling any of *you* Nazis for supporting Trump: I know good people, even Jewish people, who support him. But if you support Trump, maybe take a moment to repudiate Neo Nazis, y'know? I'd appreciate it.)
Trump is an unqualified con artist on trial for fraud.
I wonder if his opponent was recently on trial for anything?
Not the old "Everyone I disagree with is Hitler" argument. The internet is tired.
Okay, so clearly you don't care about that. So, besides having no experience, an unstable temperament, authoritarian-leaning policies, and a history of flip-flops or outright lies, why exactly do you support Trump? Follow-up: would you prefer Trump to, say, John Kasich or Mitt Romney?

Hmm I don't know maybe because he is asking another country to commit espionage against us. What is unclear about that? Regardless of the actual content of the emails he seems to believe they had classified data on them yet he is asking another country to uncover it. Somehow Trump supporters don't see this as incredibly reckless.
Wow. It's kinda ridiculous the state of the political media right now. Both sides are absolutely hellbent on twisting everything the opponent says into ultimate, conclusive proof that said candidate is a lying, corrupt douche-bag. Not that they're not, but it feels like a politician can't sneeze these days without getting accused of treason or fraud or murder. So sad.

It doesn't matter. It's Trump and Clinton right now. If Gary Johnson or another third party candidate become relevant, we'll see. But for now, it's down to those two. And yes, I prefer Trump to Clinton. He's a businessman, he's intelligent, and quite frankly, people said it was absurd Reagan was an actor and became president, or Arnold becoming governor of California. For all her "experience", Clinton failed and considering her sabotage of Sanders, and the present division in the DNC, I'd question how qualified she is to even have the nomination, let alone the presidency.

Except it was Clinton's personal email, not a US government server. That's what made it nonsecure. And the content, according to Clinton, was personal, non-government matters. So in reality, he's sarcastically suggesting Russia learn of Clinton's yoga schedule.
Until of course her campaign essentially confirmed that wasn't the content in them after all.
I do not consider emotions or ego to be comparable or a substitute for one's intelligence.
I don't consider Trump a dumb person. However, I do consider his ego and temperament unfit for even the symbolic role of the position, much less the practical role.
Okay so to you it is worse for a person to be careless with classified data than for a person to ask another country to hack into it? I am correct in thinking that? Because that is what you are saying.

Not just "a person" but the secretary of state, now running for president. And not just classified data, but compromising national security in a time of terror attacks. I do consider actions worse than sarcastic words. If Russia wanted this information, they weren't waiting on Trump's approval either. And by confirming that you agree the information Trump sarcastically asked Russia to hack was "classified data" then you admit to Hillary lying about it being personal emails about yoga and weddings to evade the FBI.

Decent answer: I too would consider Gary Johnson or a third-party candidate in a pinch, but here we are. That said,
*"He's a businessman." How do we know Trump's financial success without his tax returns that he's weirdly refusing to give? What about the contractors he's screwed over? Also, he succeeded by leveraging his father's fortune and a "small loan" way higher than one million: depending how you count it, it's about $40 or $50 Million in 2016 dollars. Impressive, but not exactly "starting from the bottom."
*"He's intelligent." I disagree. He's charismatic, amoral, and wealthy. I don't think he's *stupid* but intelligent may be a stretch: do you believe Kim Kardashian is intelligent? As long as we're retroactively giving credit to intelligence rather than luck .
*"It's absurd...". We agree there. Arnold was a pretty great Governor, and Reagan was a pretty solid president. But they both ran on united, centrist platforms. If Trump was a true centrist, I'd be a lot less worried TBH.
And lastly, re: "everything I don't like is a Nazi." I get it: it must be frustrating to be told that your political disagreement boils down to a quick slur implying that you're straight-up evil. That sucks, and I hope you didn't think I meant it regarding you in specific, or any Trump supporters here or elsewhere. We are allowed our disagreements. But I remain deadly serious when I say that segments of Donald Trump's enthusiastic support correlates strongly to Neo Nazis. Google it. Check out "The Daily Stormer" or the Alt Right on Twitter. See the swastikas and Jew Caricatures there and their glorious Trump who they *glowingly compare to Hitler.* It's ugly. Hopefully its small. But it's there. And if you don't support it, consider rebuking it rather than pithily denying it matters.

See what I mean? Is anyone actually paying attention to what everyone else is saying, or are they just trying to insist that "No, you support my candidate too!"? This is exasperating.
