I've already posted the set on Reddit and it's being actively playtested on the Custommagic discord channel, so I figured the only place left for me to advertise Aenyr would be on these forums. Even if the set is considered nearly finished as of v1.2, I'm still very opened to initial thoughts, feedback and constructive criticism!
Logo design by Oddsbod
Booster design by Inanimate
Seconded! I find many of your designs quite elegant, from the simple yet synergistic commons to the powerful and thematic rares. The multicolour cards, both standard and hybrid, are just fantastic! Lost in Eternity, Renegade Fortuneteller and Storytime are my standout favourites. Ribbon Whirler might be ahead of the times, though I could foresee this being acceptable at uncommon. I also found the common land cycle an ingenious design (though in a non-multicolour set I'd say they were uncommon).
Thank you for sharing. That was truly beautiful to read through.

Custom Card / Set Reviewer
When reviewing custom cards / sets, I look for (a) flavour, (b) function, and (c) cohesiveness, generally through a risk focus.
Yeah, this is really nice. My only criticisms (not that anyone cares, haha!) There's a few too many pushed commons. Looks a little too easy to get 5 colors in graveyard.
@viridiancircle
Thanks to you too! I figured Ribbon Whirler was OK since we got a strictly better 2/1 for R in SOI, aka Falkenrath Gorger, at rare.
About the land cycle, it would probably be uncommon in a non-multicolored set, but since Gates are common in Ravnica and those lands are similar to the Gates, I decided to keep them at common in Aenyr. They've been very useful and abundant fixing in the multiple playtests we had.
@netn10
You can join us in the Custommagic Discord Channel to playtests the many sets we have there, including Aenyr, Dreamscape or Lorado. And, just so you know, Aenyr has been playtested several times and the current version is 1.2, following multiple updates.
Maybe you're right about the monocolored rares, but so far it's been pretty great to see almost every rare or mythic in a pack be a multicolored card. It makes people want to draft multicolored decks more consistently and it gives said decks at least one powerful tool to use.
Even though the set is pretty far into its development and playtesting, it's still not over, and I'd very much like for you to join us and help if you want!
@Legend
Do you have any specific pushed commons in mind? I could use some examples!
I do care about criticism, it's very important and I want as much as I can get to balance the set.
Thanks again to everyone about those comments, and let me know if there are any specific cards that you like/dislike!
Aenyr is a plane I created where Art is the source of all magic.
The set is centered about artistry, creativity and dreams, all tied around a different take on a "multicolored matters" mechanical identity.
It's meant to be either drafted or played in constructed.
This is an article I wrote explaining the plane in details.

Thank you for sharing. That was truly beautiful to read through.
Custom Card / Set Reviewer
When reviewing custom cards / sets, I look for (a) flavour, (b) function, and (c) cohesiveness, generally through a risk focus.
Great flavor, amazing art, solid all around. I want to test this set via sealed and draft. I you need some help with that, pm me
I really want to test this set now! Some things would be realized only after testing...
Thanks a lot
@viridiancircle
@netn10
@Legend
Do you have any specific pushed commons in mind? I could use some examples!
I do care about criticism, it's very important and I want as much as I can get to balance the set.
Thanks again to everyone about those comments, and let me know if there are any specific cards that you like/dislike!
