That wording is horrible, mostly because it's not exactly clear what happens if you have an instant or sorcery on top and choose not to take it. (In other words, make that mandatory and you've got a card here.) Score: Vienna Sausages
That's the problem with English... I assumed that the "you may, if not" covered it well enough. If it's an instant or sorcery, you MAY put it into your hand, otherwise (meaning if it's not an instant or sorcery OR you don't put it into your hand), put it into your graveyard. Grrr English.

Speed-judging now because otherwise you won't get any for 12 hours.
Things I've learned today:
1. Spiders are a tribe not a class.
2. Free cube later!
3. Apparently getting teeth pulled is a big deal and warrants "prayer posts" on facebook? Who knew?
4. AI is psychic.
CC: Grand Administrator seems like it would be great fun for "Daves" in EDH. Probably too cruel for most casual players to enjoy, even if it's hard to turn on the second ability.
Ninja Caterpie: Lord of Lords is silly and its templating can easily lead to confusion. Needs "other." Too bad "Lord" itself is no longer a creature type, eh?
Aminor: Krosan Verdeconteg has a great second ability, but its first ability does work well with it (the mana empties so it can't be used for most creature spells) and also doesn't make flavor sense given that Druids are not typically the militant sort (Dryads are generally evasive and avoid combat).
Small Child: Frontier Captain is fine, if obvious. I can't say I approve of the IIW, though.
k-rad: Durdlemaster is pretty funny (not even counting the name), but leads to awkward deckbuilding decisions considering it requires a critical mass of Advisors as well as enough spell cards to discard.
Gideon_Jura: Trueaim Ranger (I think that name is begging for a "-") is fine, just not as interesting as Greatbow Doyen.
Emocakes: Locus Oracle is very interesting in its duality (and internal synergy), but from a practical standpoint, there is no reason not to make its second ability "7: Draw a card." I don't particularly like that its first ability involves not one, but two tertiary green abilities (vigilance and caring about cards in hand).
LnGrrrR: Pirate Captain doesn't make sense. If Pirates have islandwalk, why are they always going around in those big, smelly ships? (Funny card for an Un-set.)
arbitraryarmor: Darru has reasonable flavor, but (assuming that the second ability works) the two abilities don't synergize well; one encourages turtling up while the other pushes aggressive trading. Lastly, that name is too close to "Daru" which bugs me.
Winterspring: Monk Pragmatist is clean, simple, and effective. I kind of wish it cost GW, though, as it's not like there's a rampant Monk tribal deck running around.
pstmdrn: Ungoliant is a delightful reference, but as Emocakes pointed out, Spiders are a race and not a class. The card itself is probably slightly undercosted, and I would have loved to see a way for her to spawn additional spiderlings.
HM: Winterspring (too lazy to look up your IIW)

I thought about that but figured it was more fun this way. Also less counterable I guess?
AI, pffft, the captain hires more pirates and rogues to be part of his crew, which gives them Islandwalk because they're on his ship. Plus, I didn't feel like inventing a new "vehicle" mechanic.
