I thought of these Origins-style designs for Daretti and Sorin, along with cards that help enable their triggers. I was being cute with the PW names, using a recurring word on both faces (which isn't a bad idea for these types of cards, come to think of it).
Daretti, Cogwork Prodigy1R
Legendary Creature - Goblin Artificer
When ~ enters the battlefield, create a 1/1 Construct artifact creature token with defender.
When an artifact you control is put into a graveyard from the battlefield, exile ~, then return him to the battlefield transformed under his owner's control.
1/1
// Daretti, Cogwork Genius R Planeswalker - Daretti
+1: Create a 1/1 Construct artifact creature token with defender.
-2: You may sacrifice an artifact. If you do, ~ deals 3 damage to target creature or player.
-6: Each player exiles all artifact cards from his or her graveyard, then sacrifices all artifacts he or she controls, then puts all cards he or she exiled this way onto the battlefield.
3
1/1 Construct tokens with Defender are a thing on Fiora apparently, seeing as Flamewright and Daretti, Ingenious Iconoclast both produce them. Using Defender tokens on a red card feels a little weird, but using them as fuel for sac effects, not so much.
Looking at the recent design story for Nissa, Steward of Elements, I've been inspired to try building more synergy into the abilities of my PW designs.
Daretti's Plans3
Artifact 3, T, Sacrifice ~: Search your library for a card and put it into your hand, then shuffle your library.
This was going to be a legendary Construct with a self-sac ability, but I figured it'd be better to focus on creating a cool artifact with a useful ability over a construct that's defined mostly by blowing up in Daretti's face and igniting his spark.
Sorin, Markov ScionWB
Legendary Creature - Human Knight
First strike
Whenever you gain life, if an opponent lost life this turn, exile ~, then return him to the battlefield transformed under his owner's control.
2/2
// Sorin, Markov Estranged (W/B) Planeswalker - Sorin
+1: Create a 1/1 black Vampire Knight creature token with lifelink.
-3: ~ deals 3 damage to target creature and you may gain 3 life.
-13: ~ deals 13 damage to target player and you gain 13 life.

When choosing creature types for Sorin, it occurred to me that he's probably wielded that sword for some time now, and he's been seen wearing armor and calling upon Vampire Knights for assistance. That gave me the idea that maybe he used to be a Knight long ago before his dear old grandfather turned him into a Vampire. This would allow Sorin to be a decent leader for a Knight commander deck, and inspired the Estranged half's Vampire Knight token production.
I liked the idea of the PW half having a Lightning Helix effect as a nod to the fact that, if you use Edgar Markov below to turn him into a Vampire, he's a 3/3 with First Strike and Lifelink.
For the ultimate, I considered having Sorin create a legendary Avacyn token as a poignant nod to her own origins, but I remembered that the PW side reflects who the PW is now, not what they became immediately after their spark ignited. Referencing the 13 theme with a twist on Sorin's Vengeance seemed like a neat idea.
Edgar Markov1B
Legendary Creature - Human Wizard 1B, Pay 2 life: Draw a card. 1B, Sacrifice another creature: Put a +1/+1 counter on target creature. That creature becomes a Vampire in addition to its other types and gains lifelink.
1/3
Edgar Markov was an alchemist who turned to blood magic while dealing with famine in the land that would come to be known as Stensia. He exsanguinated an Angel that had been captured by his sons, preparing a decoction from her blood that turned himself and his subjects into vampires. Edgar eventually turned Sorin himself, whose spark ignited due to the trauma.
The reason my Edgar design has a Greed-like effect is to represent him learning about blood magic and to give him a use beyond sacrificing creatures to turn other creatures into vampires.
Saheeli, Quicksmith Neophyte1UR
Legendary Creature - Human Artificer
Whenever you cast an artifact spell, you may draw a card. If you do, discard a card, then if you cast two or more artifact spells this turn, exile ~, then return her to the battlefield transformed under her owner's control.
1/3
// Saheeli, Quicksmith Champion (U/R) Planeswalker - Saheeli
+1: Reveal the top card of your library. If it's an artifact card, draw two cards, otherwise draw a card.
-2: Reveal your hand. For each artifact card revealed this way, create a 1/1 colorless Thopter artifact creature token with flying and haste.
-7: You get an emblem with "Whenever you cast an artifact spell, you may search your library for an artifact card that costs less and put it onto the battlefield. If you do, shuffle your library."

Kiran Nalaar1RR
Legendary Creature - Human Artificer
Artifact spells and Artificer spells you control can't be countered.
Artificers you control have haste and "T: Add C to your mana pool. Spend this mana only to cast artifact spells or Artificer spells."
2/2
Narset, Ojutai DiscipleWU
Legendary Creature - Human Monk
Whenever you cast a noncreature spell, draw a card, then if you drew three or more cards this turn, exile ~, then return her to the battlefield transformed under her owner's control.
2/2
// Narset, Ojutai Master (W/U) Planeswalker - Narset
+1: Draw a card and you may gain 2 life.
-2: Return target noncreature, nonland card from your graveyard to your hand.
-7: Shuffle your graveyard into your library, then draw seven cards. Until end of turn, you may cast noncreature, nonland cards from your hand without paying their mana costs.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.

Another option I considered for Daretti's ultimate is a red take on Phyrexian Rebirth that either A) destroys all artifacts or B) exiles all artifact cards from graveyards, then gives you an X/X Construct based on their total converted mana costs. That effect could be good for a standalone sorcery as well, of course.
Titanic Scrap-Assembly3RR
Sorcery
Exile all artifact cards from graveyards, then create an X/X Construct artifact creature token, where X is the total converted mana cost of the exiled cards.

These are fun and interesting designs. I particularly am fond of Daretti. It bothers me greatly that red is the best early game color, but there has never been a competitively viable red planeswalker with a converted mana cost of 3 or less.
Sorin, Markov Estranged's ultimate ability is favorable, strong but balanced. However -13 ability is not viable or practical. Sometimes you have to sacrifice some flavor for functionality.
Titanic Scrap-Assembly seems a little underwhelming as an ultimate, but would be a good design at uncommon.
I'd like to post designs for additional PWs, so I've changed the topic title.

Initially I wanted the legends to be able to help the PWs transform, like with Sorin and Edgar Markov. But maybe for the sake of fun legend designs I should relax that a little to follow a pattern closer to Origins, with some legends playing a role in the "before spark" part of the story and others playing a role in the "after spark" part?
