Welcome to the May Artwork Contest Voting Thread. The theme last month was: It's All In The Spell For the month of May, I would like for each participant to draw any sorcery, instant, equipment, or aura enchantment, affecting a single creature. For a prime example of this you can look at the Shock from Onslaught and see the Psychatog getting shocked. While it is probably the least Magic of all the artwork, I think Mondu_the_Fat's art is the best in terms of qualty and appeal and high up there when it comes to doing a good job of a spell affecting a creature.
I chose FKiH's, since I think the execution was pretty awesome, but it was a hard choice between that and Warden's StP (which I think has a great feel to it). Something good in all of the choices though.
Mine goes to Masamune as well, I think it captured the feel of what was happening. Also, I could actually see it as art on a Trickery, which helped my decision a little. Great work all around by everyone.
I think I'm gonna vote spiderboy... Though I find Masamune's to be the best, spiderboy's was still good and was much closer to the contest rules (originally gonna be Spellstutter). Congrats all around though.
