If nobody has done them by Thursday I can probably make some time for them unless they are done by someone else by then or I get inundated with more work.
1) I'm sure I can do that for you
2) Being seriously bogged down with limited free time leaves me little opportunity to do so immideatly.
Not sure if my response is superfluous or not, I'm unsure what deadline people around here like to see on their cards.

To those commenting about the way the tail on Bladewing doesn't look quite right...
That tail was very tricky. The way it has been done in the artwork means that as I was bleeding it through, I had to take off a little more than normal because of the artist's blending style. This meant that the tail looked as though it had a white outline before, and a dark outline after I cut a little more off with the mask. I experimented with a few options, before deciding that hiding the problem with a shadow to make everything look smoother, and to get rid of any outline effect would work better than any of the other options.
Believe me though, it looks bloody incredible now it's been printed out and foiled up
Yeah, artist blending methods can make spill a pain, and I don't doubt that it looks really good now that it's printed. The actual issue with the tail has to do with atmospheric distortion. It's a technique used by artists, along with perspective, to create three dimensions on a two dimensional surface. The farther something is from the observer the "grayer" and hazier it becomes due to the amount of atmosphere between the object and the observer. In your image, the end of the tail is hazier than where it connects with the body showing that the the tail is extended behind the body. Your spill implies that it is in front of the body. It's slightly confusing to the eye because the artist used too much distortion IMO, but I think you did a decent job with it.
My very first attempt at creating a custom full-art, with lots of advice from TheEvilCliff and his blog
Art courtesy of Artgerm over at DeviantArt!
Not sure if it's a good idea for the PT box to be semi-transparent as well. Also I'm unsure whether I placed the mana cost and its drop shadow correctly.

It looks good, though I'm a bit bias towards anything avatar related ^^. *cough* my forum avatar *cough*
But there are a few things I'd recommend changing:
1. Increase the opacity of the frame. Right now it's pretty transparent, and it makes it a bit hard to read with such a colorful background.
2. Remove the portion of the text box behind the P/T box. That way the P/T box is still transparent, but you can't see the text box behind it. Real easy with layer masks.
3. It doesn't matter too much if you're just doing this as a casual hobby, but keep in mind the rounded corners on magic cards.

Thanks! It's my first serious attempt at GIMP-ing so yeah...
1. It's currently set to 50% opacity. I'll raise it to maybe 75% and see how it goes
2. Will try and figure that out, oops! Edit: I cheated a lil' bit, by hiding all other layers except the bottom frame and the PT box, then turned them to full opacity before making a layer from what's visible (i.e. those two I mentioned). This way the PT box "stays above" the bottom frame even when I make it translucent.
3. The thing is, I was using Zeerbe's Super Art Template (as recommended by TheEvilCliff in his blog post), so I didn't touch much of the underlying stuff beneath. How should I go about doing this rounding of the corners?

In addition to what Zhared said: does Korra really fit the bill for "Pain Artist?" She's the Avatar, you know? Mostly a flavor thing, but when using "character art," make sure the character fits the card. Try not to use it just because it "looks cool."

Actually you're right, I chose the art purely for the coolness factor. I don't have any idea what this character is about, other than the fact that she's named Korra.:D
I have a bizarre request, and I'm totally not expecting anyone to do it, but hey.
My friend is having a birthday party and he runs the Eight and a Half Tails card very frequently. He's nicknamed it 'Starfox' for some bizarre reason, so what I wanted to do was basically make a joke card that has the standard art replaced with something like this:
I know it would look bad, but it's more the amusement factor than anything else. Would be happy to trade a bit of wordpress work in return for time spent, etc.

We're running a survey in the general subforum to stablish the "sub Power 9" ranking (the cards from 10th to 18th place after the power nine, from among all the other existent cards.)
The results of that survey will be used for the artwork contests next month so, please, help us to get a more accurate ranking (go and provide us with a top 9 cards. Rules are in the first post of the thread.) Here's the link ----> CLICK ME!
Desecration Demon.
Anyhow, can someone do a rendition of Ghave, Guru of Spores?
The image I want to use that kinda fits the nature-ish shaman is this: or
I was hoping it can be in the template similar to the full art promos that they give away at gameday.
Anyone willing to do it?

HPB, that's been my Kaalia art for six months.
I have to say that Genzoman's art is fantastic for just about anything you want to do with it, though.
I went and started a Commander/EDH blog! Come see it at http://wordofcommander.blogspot.com/ and it includes all 15 of my custom super-art generals!
If you're more into the finance section of the game, I write on Fridays for MTGPrice.com.
