@YuuriS: Thank you
@demonium: The Grim lavamancer is beautiful
@Nuvo: That Vendilion Clique and Sol Ring are fantastic
@klug: Awesome work. I feel better that I'm not the only one who leaves fingerprints in the paint
@Galspanic: Your deck is shaping up nicely
@rabbit: I appreciate what you are trying to do. However, I think that the tarmogoyf on forest is the most difficult to recognize, the other ones I could guess straight away
@bigup: Teddy bear dismember is the best ever
@sandreline: Darth Vader looks sad, hehe, but great work.
@petite-nuit: Very clever ideas, all three of them actually. The dark ritual effect is very convincing.
@yawg: Much improved over the original fishes
Some more mario themed commissions for a friend of mine, although these don't fit the theme of their respective cards quite as well as the others I did
Here is a card I painted for my EDH deck a while ago (inspired by something yawg posted a long time ago, if I remember correctly). I think I need to totally redo all of the lettering. I used some rub-on letters for this, and I don't really like them anymore, I will probably just write them out by hand

Awesome stuff everyone...especially those recent pieces from IPLAYTHISGAME, YAWG, NOFINGERS and DEMO! the 3d alters too are a new innovation in the alters, amazing job there PETITE-NUIT. Been doing mostly extensions the past weeks, that's why im not posting them anymore..here's some minor addups..
In all seriousness, I think you & Poxy ought to consider a team-up some time. I see some real similarities in your approach/style, specially the line work & blending.
how do you make the paint go so close to the letters of, say, a title, but not touch it? or even get it so close to the border?
i was watching a video on youtube of cardkitty doing some cards, and it seemed like she carelessly painted getting paint on the name/borders, but when she showed finished product it looked clean like she had never done it. did she somehow repaint it, or what?

A lot of card alterers use a toothpick or a blade to scratch out the painted-over card name and/or clean up borders. Some just paint really close up to the letters. To me, it is easier to just use a toothpick at the end. It helps to moisten the toothpick a little.
@tomathan88: im using a dull blade from a cutter, but you really have to be very careful when using this to avoid damage on the card, i tried painting the edges of the text very carefully but often times you'll miss the edges, that's when i use blade to carve the edges..you just have some sort of good control. The toothpick is a good choice, but i prefer smaller, thinner tool for cleaning up the text.
This is actually painted. It is flat, you can play with it.
Inspired by this real 3D alter
This is pretty neat. You get the same effect with the flat card. I always liked this art the best!

Trying my hand at alters for the first time.
I do digital art, so it wasn't a completely foreign experience. It was fun, and I definitely want to get better at this!
The naturalize was difficult, and I couldn't match the color of the grass on the bottom right at all. Definitely gives me an even greater sense of respect for people that do incredible alters. I think I did pretty good for my first tries though.

I absolutely love this! The pose is awkward and forced into the frame, the dog has a very human expression, and the wings feel completely without context. I feel like this is some inside joke that I am not privy to, but at the same time it's cute and just "out there" enough for me to really want to make one of my own!
Did a Lord of the Unreal. Think it came out pretty good!

@ O.WEBSTER: i love how well you made the brick flooring, amazing details and the different colors per brick makes it more realistic..

so i should try to paint close to the word, but if i get a little paint over it by accident i just use a 'pick to try and get rid of the overlapping paint?
i mean, should i be completely careless and then do it or not (get close, but if i make mistake then i do it)?
That's dope a fuuuuuuuuuuuuuu-
Good job man!
