Why is the bird's right wing seemingly crippled or something? It looks a bit silly.
The colour matching on the cityscape seems to be off a tad. It looks a little too green.
That birds looks sweet, CR has shown a lot of improvements lately
heres one i´ve done for a friend
adn something i`ve thought about doing some time ago
it came out sorta crappy, but i find it very funny
Dang that is a Sweet looking husher..i always loved the art on that card and im glad some one did it. i really dig the border thats around the OG art...maybe you shouldve had the right side clothing go over the border for more of a "pop" out feeling.
When ur using acrylics there is no point in masking the card borders. You can just go back with a toothpick and scratch off the paint to make the edges clean...
Not trying to critique here...that's flat-out amazing, dude.
A question, however. Is it possible to mask (tape or otherwise) the top edge of the title bar when painting? Seems every one of these otherwise-flawless jobs has some slight messiness on top edge of title bar.
When ur using acrylics there is no point in masking the card borders. You can just go back with a toothpick and scratch off the paint to make the edges clean...
I disagree.
While it is easy to remove acrylics with a toothpick, i recomend removin as little as posible. Taping the borders will make them straight and clear. then you can finish small retouches with toothpick.
It only takes 30 seconds to tape a card, but scratching all the borders, trying to make them even, with the posibility of damagin the original card ( it happens ) is a pain, takes up a lot of time, and the final result is not even close to taping it ( at least with my acrylics ) , i would say it is not recomended.
IMO , you should tape everythingo you can, whenever it is posible. The toothpick is actually a last resort to repair mistakes.

Hi all - I've recovered sufficiently to pimp once more
A batch of new stuff posted by norwebdesign, art by Le Cavalier Rouge:
Okay - I think there's some solid work here. The Steal Artifact, the Initiates of the Ebon Hand, the Gorilla Shaman are all decent work. I also enjoyed the Goblin Chirurgeon, which just looks funny
Some of the other cards are a bit sloppy, and Le Cavalier Rouge seems to be slipping into some old bad habits with these.
Also, I don't think people need to bother so much with trying to add black borders to cards that don't have them when doing alterations - we've seen plenty of white bordered alterations that look just as good. There is an unfortunate tendency to end up with pretty sloppy looking black lines in most cases that I've seen where the artist has attempted this - I really don't think people need to bother with it. Just my two cents!
This was literally just posted by Catherine:
Me want! Nice work here on the old Tempest version of Reflecting Pool, coming soon to a reprint in Shadowmoor near you! The top half of the card in particular really jumps off the card!
These have been posted by lsr-cj, alterations by Lupe Woody and a new artist called Georgi:
The top row is by Georgi, and the cards on the bottom by Lupe. My favourites here would be the Hippie (cute, simple!) and the Revive The Fallen. The Island and Swamp are good work, but (and this is just my MtG colour bias showing!) they make my teeth hurt
A double shot from jmg021283:
To be honest this is solid work, but definitely not the best Thoughtseize alter we've seen...I actually quite like the roughness on the Angel of Salvation. Not sure why
From chance-n-molly:
Bravery points awarded for altering a dual land I think the Vindicate is particularly good; the fireball looks awesome! The Sol Ring I'm not so sure about...
Anyway! Go discuss!

You're not your deck.
You're not how much mana you have in your pool.
You're not your half-naked, animè girl card sleeves.
You're not your DCI rating.
You're not your freaking ‘Coldsnap Prerelease’ t-shirt.
You are the all-singing, all-dancing crap of the Multiverse.
@ Lupe's Island & Swamp :
I like how the water actually looks like water (this seems to be a big problem for people altering this pic) but the lack of detail on the flowers is sort of disappointing.
@ CR's stuff:
I know Manu, (and by extension, CR) isn't the most popular altered seller around due to all the fuss on this thread, but CR's stuff has really shown improvement over the past few weeks. His style could use a little refining, but overall a big thumbs up.
@ the Hundred Acre Woods alters:
The characters are cute, and well done, but I'm not sure um.. what the market is for these particular alterations.
@ my Reflecting Pool:
I've been kind of beating myself up about this because I started painting it before I had a solid idea of how it would look finished. That's why the rocks surrounding the text box look kind of funny and out of perspective... I sort of wanted to do it textless but with the top the way it is, it'd look odd. Oh well. :/

Possibly me, as a result of duress from girlfriend
Three more from Le Cavalier Rouge, as posted by norwebdesign:
Nice idea with the plains - just needs to watch colour matching a little on this one.
I agree with what Catherine said re: this artist - I look at Le Cavalier Rouge as one of the 'rough diamonds'
I think if any critcism of this artist has emerged recently, it is because we have all seen and know that he/she has produced better work, and I hope they'll return to those standards eventually. I was surprised with the lack of enthusiasm shown for Le Cavalier Rouge's Birds of Paradise, which I enjoyed thoroughly. I know I don't have any technical skills myself whatsoever, but that alter looked really nice to me

The custom cards are a couple of forums below, unless you are looking for comments on your renders.
Goblin Wrecking ball -- severely undercosted. This should cost, at the very least, 5cc if you remove the haste.
Blast from the past -- on a sorcery, abilties like phasing, cumulative upkeep, echo and fading don't do anything. You can change it to an enchantment, in which case fading (and likely echo) still won't work properly.
At 5cc the water elemental is undercosted. Legendary does not make up for it.
Windsor academy is unprintably overpowered. Glinthaven is broken. I'm sorry, this is going to sound harsh, but there two are pretty horrible.
centaur ascetic is an expensive version of watchwolf.
Looking Back is too powerful. Remove the draw a card, and up the cost by at least 1.
@Yawg07 : Wow, that body Double is excelent. well blended, cant tell were the original art starts
@chance-n-molly : the vindicate looks sweet, nice explotion
@Catherine : How oportune, a reflecting pool which looks awesome
@CR : Underwolrd dreams looks really good. I believe CR should be a little more careful when extending body parts and the like, the tend to be somewhat out of proportion, other than that, the are cool. (still, some strange card choices IMO )

Really really nice, as all the last altered cards of last pages I've seen.
My last alteration...
CR's BoP seem pretty weird to me. The bricks on the background are not in the same perspective as the rest of the art.
Mana Crypt is awesome as well, do you use sharpies, Adro?
Now, to my last alters:
Those squares over the text are a bit off :/

UBR Thraximundar Zombie Beatdown
edit: @Pendrell. The dots are looking much better. And oh yeah, the rest looks good too!

"Sometimes, the situation is outracing a threat, sometimes it's ignoring it, and sometimes it involves sideboarding in 4x Hope//Pray." --Doug Linn
The Blast from the Past was just meant to be a parady, hence the old keywords.
The others were just some stuff I put together in about 20 mins. Some are just cards that I think would be cool.
Again, these are just my first batch. Any help or suggestions are appretiated!
But I do love LOOKING BACK and CENTAUR ASCETIC!!!
