@ Niheloim, I like the concept of partial text box. Nice Job especially the Badlands! Taiga felt a bit empty at the bottom, maybe add some rocks/foliage poking through the snow? @ FFyouth. I really love the bumblebee! Man I love doing portraits like that too.@ Yawg, you sir have balls of steel, altering such expensive cards. I'm not a fan of Disney on MTG cards but they are really well done! @ Drazel, nicely done, the colour blending is spot on.
I'd thought about creating some trees there... but it actually looks nice. There are some shades of blue that were washed out in the pic that make the card rather striking.
The Partial text box was the customers idea. I'm still working on the best method for how to do it.
Congrats Yawg, you are a living legend on this thread!
I thought the text box borders could be straighter. IMO, masking tape across the card might help you get a straighter line (like in erasing). But paint might seep under, so I'm not sure.
It's been a long while since I have posted, but here are some of my alters I have done. click the link below to see my works if yah wish. Sorry if it bugs you but I also have some digital alters in the link, I just didn't have the time right now to organize my photobucket album but I will.
It's good to see some fresh blood stretching their artistic wings here. These are excellent starts all around:
@romans_ch1: She's fan-freaking-tastic for her first time @ cards. The Sarkhan looks a little rough around the bottom of the text box, but other than that, amazing!
@drazel: Relic and Thoctar are near perfect. Warmonk and Ancient Grudge are good in the areas sideways from the original art. But I'd love to see the grudge fully bordered. The Warmonk needs work on the borders around the textbox. Same with the Nacatl, but it needs less work than the Warmonk.
@jksisu89: Work on your matching and smoothness. As it is right now, it's too obvious where the original art ends and yours begins
And to everyone who thinks I'm being really harsh, please keep in mind I'm just trying to help: constructive criticism is necessary in going from decent to good to great.

haha, yes you are:D, but seriously you are doing great job for this thread;).
I've only been checking out these forums for a couple days, and I've been reading the whole archive. (on page 813 right now) I'm curious, does anyone still host and run the PnP? Wasn't sure if it was the kind of idea that would have held together until now, but if it has, I'd be really interested in getting involved.
Also, on a completely different subject. Has anyone tried painting with valejo, games workshop, or citadel model paints? I've done a few of my alters with them and they seem to work as good as any other liquid acrylic. Am I completely off my rocker here?
PnP kinda keeled over and died. Currently, there's an attempt at an official art contest, for one of those purty lil digital trophies. It's in the "Contest" section under the "Artwork" section of the forum.
Love the blue FoW, Yawg. I think it's the best FoW alter I've seen.

I am looking for Xx Copies of Angelic Destiny, in all Languages, Foil and Non-Foil as well.
Because doing it over and over is the only way to get better. Also investing in good brushes, paints, and workspace, which is my next step.
Just finished part 2 of the FMA brainstorms. Dunno if I'm gonna make it a full set or leave it at this. I can't think of 2 other characters that would fit really well.

No, he can't. Not in the thread, anyway. If he does, it's advertising, and will be infracted.
