I'm pretty sure you can't use it or something. Even covering it up because everytime you look at what the judge would make you cover it up with you'd think "why is that covered u....oh riiiight"
It's the same thing like if you tattooed that on your arm, it'd be considered illegal in sanctioned play

Yeah but if I take a black Sharpie to this, It's covered.......
So in essence your saying a judge is going to ***** for a black sharpie spot on a playmat?

No. I meant if it is exposed and you are asked to remove it...
If it is covered up befor eyou sit dow it's fine. The playmat is beautfiful though, and really I don't think you'd need the reminder because you have hte art from the card itself
Welcome to the forums Tarmoguy! I have to say, you did a fantastic job for a first try. I would love to see more. And I have been meaning to ask, what kind of material is the playmat? Is it like a mousepad? I honestly have no idea, and was just wondering what it is like to draw on.
What would be the best way for someone with no artistic ability whatsoever to make one of these? I mean, I can draw stick figures and that's about it. And they aren't even good stick figures. But I want to have some nice art on it, like Yawg Will, Ancestral Recall, Lotus, etc. How would I go about printing/tracing art onto it? Any special kind of paper for tracing? How do I trace onto the mat?
BSM: I am not too sure as I have never made one myself, but I believe that it was mentioned earlier that you can project it onto the playmat and just copy it. Personally I would just draw in a grid in pencil, and have the same grid on a high quality picture of the art. Just try and copy each square one at a time and pay attention to detail.
I've never used something to trace, so I don't know, but you could do a cut-out thing in cardboard or just some non-flimsy material and use that almost like what people do for tagging sometimes.
For those of you who play in Minneapolis at Monster Den, Andy Martin made a Life from the Loam playmat for a friend of mine, and I might be posting pics of it if I can take pics of it today. It's just sketched with sharpie, and he did it really quickly.
i´ve done a playmat with a D&D dragon in a elemental spellground, i´ll try to post it here later.
But i´m trying to find some similar/good cloth to make somre more, have you got any suggestion? or know any site that sell blank playmat at a affordable prices?
thks.
btw, is inserting a picture link the only way to post a pic in here?
I really REALLY like the Arcane Tinman Dragon Shield playmats. I think they're the highest quality. You can insert the URL to the pic you want to use by clicking on the icon and pasting the URL there. You can also upload the picture as well by suing the icon. I hope that helps.:)
Which mat are you guys talking about? what post #?

Here's the setup at my gf Catherine's house haha ...
I got bored last night, and being an insomniac... I had some time to kill.
Well, I had some time to deal 5 damage to.
The hands are disproportioned, and the body is too thick I think.
Whatever.
Criticism?
Thanks!
