There is too much crap everywhere. What is curse sites? Why do i see it everywhere? I don't care about all this other stuff. The site is also slower loading than the old one. Can I go back to the old one?

We are not going back to vBulletin, so the old site is gone.
Curse.com owns the site and operates the software, so that's what Curse is and why you see it on this site now.
There is too much crap everywhere. What is curse sites? Why do i see it everywhere? I don't care about all this other stuff. The site is also slower loading than the old one. Can I go back to the old one?
Is this just about the header bar at the top of the page? It seems rather minimal to me. I haven't experienced slower loading, but your computer specifications are bound to be different. I'm pretty sure the developers are working on improving this kind of thing however.

This site looks bad, the registration is clunky, and curse should try harder at making something that actually looks presentable.
I believe their developers are working on the site, if you have any constructive criticism.
They are not working on the site, trust me. They aren't even working on better forum use, the mods are getting paid to do nothing. I've seen the mod lounge, and they admit to getting paid.

Yes, the header, footer and banner ad telling me to become a Premium Curse member. It's like a virus I can't get rid of it! And I notice how it's these elements which conveniently load first, before the content. This is why it loads slower (for me). It makes it impossible to ignore, and all the more obnoxious. And I doubt anyone is working on anything, I am quite certain it 'works as designed'. Even with these problems, I could forgive if they provided a great mobile experience, but they don't do that either! It's not responsive in the least, they should be working on that.
I miss the old site and it's weird looking angel banner art at the top. The new site is soulless. MTGS you sold your soul!!
The old site was very light, white, with a nice heavenly angel inviting you in. It was very pleasant. Conversely, this site: black, darkness, the word "CURSE" splashed everywhere, flame icons everywhere! It's like MTGS has literally gone to hell!
Unfortunately I have to assume this crappy change is all about money, i.e. this site generates more than the old one, for whomever owns it. There was nothing wrong with the old forum. If it weren't for the trading refs I already have here I'd be long gone.

I'd suggest you head over to Curse's main site to see what they are about. It's a collection of sites geared towards gaming - WoW, LoL, GW2, etc.. information, downloads, add-on's and such.
Those links probably load first because this site is under their umbrella - which is fine.
I personally like the new site and the way it looks and functions - no issues here.

I'm also not convinced the new site is an improvement. It's much slower and harder to read on tablets and smartphones, too.
I'm surprised to read that. I actually suspected many of the unwelcome changes to be direct results of adaptations meant to increase smartphone/tablet accessibility. I accepted them as necessary evils since it would be putting myself over the needs of another part of the audience. Reading about complains from a smartphone/tablet user puts that into perspective.

I actually check the site daily on my Android (Galaxy S3) and experience no issues with site loads or anything - in fact it feels faster than it was before on the old site.
Maybe it's just your connection?

Some of the features are growing on me, but the longer load times and loud nature of the layout/ads is pretty irritating. I use the site on both my work computer (which runs an old Internet Explorer that I understand is terrible anyway) and my phone (Note 2), and it sucks on both.
They are not working on the site, trust me. They aren't even working on better forum use, the mods are getting paid to do nothing. I've seen the mod lounge, and they admit to getting paid.
The Curse techs have already made a ton of bugfixes this month, and more are on the way.
MTGS Moderators are not Curse employees and are not paid.
The site if anything, looks cleaner and loads smoother than the vbulletin days. However, I think is HAS gone downhill in terms of mobile devices. Reading things on my iPhone is hard. And God forbid I need to click a link while on my phone, it's cumbersome. Old site was easier to touch-navigate. On my Mac it's fine otherwise.

I mean, hell, we're all on a forum for something that most people would describe as a "children's card game"...do what makes you happy. You are never too old to enjoy yourself.
Clean, quick loading text and functioning with Autocard Anywhere was MUCH better than what we've got now. The card pop up is slower than Autocard and provides less information on the mouse over.
Hell, the main reason I started coming to MTG Salvation was the plain text spoiler page. Now it's a difficult to navigate slow loading bloated piece. Having quick access to new cards despite the connection speed was nice. Moving elsewhere for discussion and spoilers. If I'm going bloat, I might as well do Mythic Spoiler and just stick to r/spikes and r/magictcg.
Is the site to the point that I can turn javascript back on for it, or are they still using an abusive amount of it, slowing load times?
I'd still leave js off.
This is actually my first visit back to the site in a week and a half (from what used to be dozens of visits per day); and I only came back to check up on the progress of the redesign (which appears to have gone nowhere). This site is illegible for me as it currently stands, the aesthetic choices both in color and element sizing/positioning don't work well for reading forums - it's a shame modern web design tends to favor this kind of flashy, bubbly style of crap splattered with poorly utilized jquery and such.
Accessing the site on my iphone, which is how I access the site 90% of the time is cumbersome. I would say 40-50% of the times I go to access the site I close the window immediately after opening the home screen because I simply don 't want to navigate the new site.
They are not working on the site, trust me. They aren't even working on better forum use, the mods are getting paid to do nothing. I've seen the mod lounge, and they admit to getting paid.

you do realise that the word customer in that case is the users impacted by other users?
The word customer means recipient of a good or service. We are using the site as a service. We are all customers, paying or not.
Anyway....
Regardless, other than not being able to update my signature (for some reason), and not being able to input smileys due to the pop-up taking over my browser, the site is rather nice
