I know the other admins were busy this weekend, but I think part of it is that we are all feeling a little bummed that we can't say much more than "Added to the list." The list is pretty big and to some people it seems like a "1 step forward, 2 steps back" process. The thing is, progress is being made and the staff and Curse folks are keeping tabs on stuff in here.
I can say that I haven't replied to all the threads because some of them are asking things I have no idea how to answer. Just saying "Gotcha" doesn't seem sufficient and indicates that an issue has been added to the queue... and some have not and may never be.
Are you guys being consulted in private on how to prioritize? There are lots of good ideas for changes and you're in the best position to tell Curse what's Really Important and what's merely Nice to Have.
This forum was built from scratch trying to accommodate the users here and if it isn't right we really want to make it right for as many people as possible.
Are you sure about this? It looks to me like this forum was adapted from the standard Curse forum that you see on every other Curse site.

I wrote a big long paragraph that explained how personal bias and scope of influence and interest makes this hard.... but then I thought maybe I don't understand your question. So, what do you mean?

Of course the software is theirs and the look is theirs, but what I mean is that we had a year to offer input and suggestion in how the site would be once we went live. It wasn't just plugging our users into an already existing forum and saying "Go!" We have had a lot of opportunities to mold how things would work here.

You're the best positioned to distill all the feedback from various places and decide what changes the forum really needs and which can wait a while. I hope that you are advising Curse on where their priorities should be for improvement.
I get that it's hard because of personal bias and the other things you mentioned, but it's still an important thing to do.
How bout a bar along the top that has links to the general areas of the website, like before. We could have the forum, the wiki page, etc etc. I have to click on a recent post and then scroll up to the forum title on top there just to access the main forum page.

**** this site. I'd delete this account but that doesn't seem to be an option. The mods here are ******* useless ********s who ban people for simple ass normal words. **** them and **** this site.
Is their any particular reason for the change in position on titles?
I am not as fond of this new position as since it is not under the name it doesn't feel as much of a title (since it doesn't flow "Guardman, kpaca lite") and it's new position puts it in a more visibly cluttered space that includes a lot of info that is not looked at often meaning most people will just gloss over it when looking at a person instead of having it more in their face since it is sandwiched inbetween the highly visible username and avvy.
I have a piece of feedback, not sure if it's been said already as 11 pages are a lot to read through.
I think that in the , when you make your haves and wants, that the set of the card should be optional, and should not be a requirement to have your list show haves and wants.
For instance, if I typed in , all versions of are going to pop up regardless of what set the person has for theirs in their thread. This makes me think that it is almost obsolete to not have a card count towards your lists Haves and Wants if you don't have the set next to it in brackets, since when you type in just "" into the search, anyone with that card in their list will pop up no matter what version they have listed. Most people don't care about a set unless there is a major difference in Price or Art, and if they are concerned with either of those they usually ask anyways if it isn't listed. It's really annoying though that my list won't be searchable with the Haves and Wants engine until I take the time to put the sets for all of my cards, even though most of them are only in one set anyways. I feel bad for the people who are breaking a thousand cards on their lists that have to go an type in all of the sets for each card to have it searchable.
It also means that if you have multiple versions of a card you have to list each version individually, since you can't just put a quantity for each set in the brackets, or put two sets in the brackets.
Realistically he should only be unblockable without equipment
Guard 1: There goes a sword floating down the street!
Guard 2: Well, he's unblockable, so ignore it.
Eat your greens kids, omnath does, and it makes him strong....
One other thing that I just noticed (hard to tell on the dark background) gif avvys that move have a black background instead of the invisible background they are supposed to have.

Is there y chance to make "the list" public? I think it would add to the feeling of being heard if there is a place where you can track whether your input has been checked - and if you also track the changes implemented it would help to make the progress more visible.
It currently takes a lot of work just to figure out whether a certain issue has been acknowledged - especially if it has been brought up multiple times, but acknowledged in only one (or at least not all) of the places like the smiley-issue.

[thread=239793][Game] Level Up - Creature[/thread]
Got to say I actually like the new site a lot, I've posted more in the last week than the last month....only thing I'm having issues with is that I cannot get my sig to show up, but thats just ascetics.
I just Google searched the crap out of vBulletin and found nothing on it no longer being supported or receiving security updates. vBulletin 5's most recent update was this past September. Just looking at vBulletin.com, it seems like they're doing pretty well with some very large sites still using the software for their forums. Steam's forums in particular look like an aesthetically nice updated take on the familiar look of the old forums here.
I'll add that almost every time I've clicked a "Go to first unread post" link while browsing this evening, I've been taken to posts from several days ago.
This is a small thing, but it's been driving me crazy. On the bottom of the page in a thread, there are links to the first few pages, then an ellipsis ("...") then a link to the last page. This is correct. But in the list of threads, the ellipsis is put at the end. I keep wondering whether the thing before the ellipsis is really the last page or not before I click and check. Image below shows both things.
I really dislike the layout of this "update", it's so clunky and messy. The last one was simple, but more refined, the information more apparent, and the borders and genaral mess more minimal. It's more difficult for me to read off of this site, basically, which makes me want to participate less.
Okay, I finally figured out what's going on with the New Content page. When you navigate to any page of it directly (including refreshing a page), it works fine. But when you use the page number buttons, it results in all threads appearing read and the new posts button not appearing where appropriate.
Edit: Tiny thing. The old forums.mtgsalvation.com link should probably redirect to mtgsalvation.com/forums, not mtgsalvation.com.
We have had a lot of opportunities to mold how things would work here.
I believe I've been giving feedback for months (since the first major announcement of new-forum features) and I'm not even sure if that feedback is known-of by the developers. Some of it was simple stuff (getting things functional again) and some was ideas for making things better. As far as I can tell, none of it has been implemented. I don't think the beta posts are accessible otherwise, so I attached an image of all of mine. (gathered beforehand for this exact reason)
Some new feedback:
Responding to posts... I can't open 'reply' or 'quote' in a new tab. When I do reply, it sticks my message directly beneath the message I'm quoting. (somewhere in the middle of the page) I've lost track of it on more than one occasion. (especially when trying to preview things) It looks like I'm supposed to use multi-quote instead? Multi-quote seems to put the quotes in the incorrect order.
Thank yous... having the thank you icon in the center of the page on the post barrier (thick dark border at top of each post) would make it more noticeable and make highly rated posts more noticeable. It doesn't really belong on the left next to all the user profile info. It's related to the post, not the user.
Trading... I still don't know how to import a list of cards. I'm not going to manually enter 100s or 1000s of cards when I already have them all organized in excel.
Blogs... I can't access mine. I use it a lot to refer to 'reference posts' of mine, as you can see in my sig. The link doesn't work.
Post titles... how do I add a title to a post of mine? I used to go to the 'advanced' editor for that.
Updates since last login... On the old forum, I could easily tell which threads had been updated since I last logged in; they were differentiated by being bolded. While the big icon to the left of each thread will inform me whether there are unread updates, (blue for unread, gray for read) I can't quickly determine which threads have new content unless I've been following every thread in a particular forum. I certainly don't have time for that!

vB5 is a very different beast, made by a different company and a different team of developers. It'd be as big a change as here.

Sing lustily and with good courage.
Be aware of singing as if you were half dead,
or half asleep:
but lift your voice with strength.
Be no more afraid of your voice now,
nor more ashamed of its being heard,
than when you sang the songs of Satan.

The idea with dumping vbulletin should be to improve speed. This site has gone the other way.
The idea behind dumping vBulletin was that its no longer being supported and getting security updates.
