Feedback: Not sure if it's been asked for yet, but I don't see an option under my preferences.
Is there a way to turn off Avatars and/or Signatures? I've got them turned off in the old boards, and generally I prefer to hide those elements whenever I can on boards, but I can't seem to find them on these ones.
There are much harsher color contrasts except for the posts, where the grey on grey is somewhat annoying. I find the forums more difficult to read.
I'm immediately missing a lot of tags. [float], [box], and [hr] don't appear to be working, or are less flexible than before (boxes are apparently not variable sized).
The forums wouldn't load at all on an iPad 2 (ver 6.1.3) using Safari.
edit: My custom title disappeared sometime between starting this post and finishing it.

[Pr]Jaya | Estrid | A rotating cast of decks built out of my box.
I posted these things on the current forums, but I figured (was instructed by Galspanic) that I should post them here as well:
If I'm going to be frank, I hate the Beta from trying to use it so far. My primer layout is pretty messed up, as is my sig, and about 100 of my posts have gone missing. It is lacking a lot of functions that I like to use, like being able to sort threads by replies or views, and the search function is much more of a pain to use in my opinion. I had somewhat of a hard time locating threads that I usually have no problem finding here, and I'm also not at all a fan of the aesthetic appearance of the beta. Overall I think it's a significant step in the wrong direction. I have been a member of a couple other forums in the past that have changed their appearance / layout / functionality, and on those occasions, the changes have caused my participation in those forums to decline and / or cease completely.
So another thing I noticed on the Beta is that having boxes doesn't work, like the ones for quotes. It makes my primer look really ugly rather than all pretty like on here. Also the deck tags look really awful on the Beta. They take up way too much room and having everything centered in those cavernous boxes of empty space looks horrible. Also my two decklists show up one on top of the other instead of side by side.
Also, the guild symbol smilies don't seem to be working, and I couldn't get my sig banner to show up.
Another thought I had: All the links in my sig go to the appropriate threads on the old site. After the change, what will happen to everyone's sig links, as well as all the rest of the links? Will they automatically be fixed, or will every single link on the site all of a sudden be bad links?
I just need to know, even if it's a low priority - are we going to be getting the ability to use animated avatars back, at all? It's a huge thing as we've been doing them for years in the community (even with our old 50kb size limit). I need to know so I can let people know whom I make avatars for that they have to reconsider their request.
I just reported a post in the sub forum I mod in. I did not receive PM notification of the reported post, and there was no "custom" button among the options in the drop down box, as none of the options pertained to what I wanted to report.

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's too late to stop reading it....
Color tags seem to have some weird issues with lists:
Blah blah
Blah blah: blah blah blah blah: blah blah
all three lines should have the color, but only the first one shows it.

Sing lustily and with good courage.
Be aware of singing as if you were half dead,
or half asleep:
but lift your voice with strength.
Be no more afraid of your voice now,
nor more ashamed of its being heard,
than when you sang the songs of Satan.

You don't get PMs when you report someone - it is now all taken care of in the report center - so you can keep infractions and your PM chats unqiue - Also the report options are just thing the admins will fill out (not so much a beta thing) as they just need to make up a big old list and fill and add them

I want Animated gifs too! (a lot of people don't like them, which is why cobalt I think dosnt have them now) The main issue is when we take avatars to upload, we currently cant accept gif's Will def at it to the list of wants.

can you please link both versions of your primer (the beta version and the live version) so I can take a look
@cryogen already made a note of your primer format issues
If you have a subforum minimised it stays that way even if you click the link to open it up. What you end up with is an empty looking forum category with the minimise icon tucked half under the tools options.

Is there any possibility of having the old theme, at least on forums? You know I really get used to it. This one uses fonts that looks really bad on my screen (I am, for many reasons, not using antialiasing and this looks like one of those fonts that are really messed up without antialiasing...). Other than that, old style looked more cleaner. I know it is a matter of time but on the old one it takes me few seconds to scan through forums mainpage and know everything I need (where are new posts) and open desired subforums.
Well I guess I am that guy who wants everything as "it have always been".
You can get close using Stylish. Doing everything would take a bit of work.
When the switch does happen, will we be forced to use our curse logins? Will there be an option somewhere to use the old forum style and such? Will that annoying Curse Bar be at the top? And if so then what about the even more annoying "Featured Sites" at the bottom? The redirect page when we click a link off site is really annoying, anyway to remove that or at the very least get an option that automatically accepts that crap every time? To re-ask something that was skipped over (Logging in aside because it seems there will be no way around logging into every Curse account), will we get square avatars back or are we now forced into these round-cornered avatars?
Edit, Spoilers in signatures are also clipped and end up cutting off other parts of your signature (See mine)
In case everyone hasn't already noticed, we pushed a new aesthetic/branding update to the site. Please let us know how you like it!!
To be honest, I liked the old look much better. It felt cleaner and like it had more of an identity. This new look just feels... generic? Noisy, maybe? It looks like all the other forum templates out there instead of looking like MTGS. The background noise (ads, sigs, avatars, etc.) feels like it competes too much with the content and structure.
Part of it is the fact that the header is less prominent. It doesn't do much to anchor the page. It just sort of blends in with the ads and the sigs and avatars and feels like more noise.
I apologize for the criticism, it's just... I always loved how MTGS felt like MTGS and not like every other forum template out there.
Will any popular topics be moved over or does every discussion need to start over from scratch? There is some useful information in past discussions that I make decisions on when building EDH decks.

every single post will be ported over just as they were here now (keep in mind the import on the beta is ~ a month old atm)
