The card database is something I expect to be using heavily on the new site, so I will keep my feedback to that.
Visual Display
It's not very visual, is it? The card images are quite small and far more space is given to repeating the card info text than to actually showing the card. A visual display option that is just the cards in a given search would be appreciated.
Database coverage
As per the last beta, there is no coverage of promotional cards such as FNM promos, Duels givaways, or Judge Foils. Are there plans to add these cards into the database or is this an intentiional gap?
Database searching
It is impossible to get cards by a given artist to display correctly. Generally this problem is worst when an artist has done basic land art.
As an example here is a search on cards by artist Nils Hamm http://beta.mtgsalvation.com/cards?filter-artist=nils hamm&display=1
Notice that under Mountain, for example, we get four different mountain images, none of which are by Nils Hamm. The text tells us otherwise, but even with the small card images we can see that is not true. In this case, the artist has illustrated precisely one mountain, and that mountain has been printed in four sets. The right sets are there, but with the wrong card image.
All reprints have vanished even those that were not previously illustrated by the artist. For example Mortify no longer shows up, even though the artist's version has never been reprinted. The reprint is based on a reprint of the card, not on a reprint of the artists work. All the basic lands are gone, presumably for the same reason, again the original version by the artist does not appear.
The choice is between two searches, neither of which give a correct result. The basic land issue is the worst, as there is now vary to view, for example all basic lands illustrated by John Avon.

These have been fixed up as they weren't working in the last release

This is still the case.
To be honest, I prefer the old forum a lot more, aesthetically speaking. It's much more readable.
