I hope whatever you guys do requires less javascript. All the code that starts running whenever I open up a single MTGS tab slows my browser down to a crawl until the page has finished loading. If I open several ones at the same time it outright crashes.
You know, looking back on all that this site has been through and having been there since it was on phpBB2, I just have to say I think you guys are doing a fantastic job.
On a more serious note: Now that the forum looks bad I also cannot find where to do also the account management stuff like changing my signature, password and other settings. It used to be in the top-right corner and now I cannot find it anymore.

"Very few people" used the dark skin? The question is how many people knew it even existed, because I know a lot of people who immediately jump to using a dark skin wherever possible. This is ridiculously bright :/ Oh well.
Seriously the new forum templating is hideous.
I searched for this thread as soon as I saw the change. I thought there was some error with my browser or something.
The previous forum layout breathed, was easy on the eyes and very easy to navigate.
If you guys are determined to stick with this template, then please at least allow some palette swapping options or just use the old hues of blue+gray.
Also please consider allowing the template to fit a widescreen desktop monitor. Some of us still use websites without the aid of a phone!
It's nice there's more features being added to the site, sure. But the main attraction to the site is the discussion forums.
You don't call "dying to removal" if the removal is more expensive in resources than the creature. If you have to spend BG (Abrupt Decay), or W + basic land (PtE) to remove a 1G, that is not "dying to removal". Strictly speaking Goyf dies to removal, but actually your removal is dying to Goyf.
The card reveal slideshow appears to be stretching the page frame super wide across the screen, I presume that isn't intended behavior? Happens in IE, Chrome, FF. The slideshow doesn't even show up on mobile for me.
Anyone else experiencing this?
Edit: Looks to be fixed now, nice!

MTGSalvation Home Page Card Reveal Stretches Browser Window Horizontally
The new colour scheme look fine, but really wish the forum would actually use up the full width of my monitor rather than being stuck in a strip down the middle....
edit: huh, it's just now adjusted to my monitor width. Well, nothing for me to complain about then
edit2: and now it's back to being narrow. Am confused.
I am really sad to hear about the extinction of Dark Skin. I mostly view this site under low light and the white skin makes my eyes hurt.
Additionally, I am browsing from a 23 inch wide screen and the new template looks really small.
Please bring back the dark skin or make the current one a little darker.
Don't know who in the "industry" to blame but all this light blue and white bull***** hurts my eyes and makes to harder to find things and navigate for me. Reminds me on the damned i-Phone stuff.
It is really hard to read now with the font change and I can't make my window a small box like I used to to view. I have to almost maximize it and add zoom just to read. Please go back!
Looks good to me, but mobile functionality seems bad right now. Assuming this will be fixed soon. Thanks for the hard work, folks!

Yeah, the icons at the top returned after a while - I noticed some other visual bugs disappearing one by one at the moment.
Add my voice to a wish for something less extreme than pure white for the background. I would prefer a dark skin to soothe my eyes, but I can probably get used to anything that is not bright white.

I'm not a fan of the new color scheme. Btw, is maximum signature length going to be changed in this update? I miss being able to have longer signatures than a few lines.

I hope not. Kind of absurd if a user's signature is longer than their average posts.

At the very least we should be allowed to put longer signatures inside a spoiler box so that they won't take up too much space but will still be there if anyone wants to look at them.
I agree with everyone else mentioning the bright background. I too used the Dark Skin and I would prefer a dark skin again but, if that isn't possible, something less bright than we have now would be nice.
I also dislike the column width changes. I have my browser set up to be the right width to see the "view latest post" button on each thread, but now the column widths push that beyond my browser width so I have to scroll over to click on it. Isn't there any way to have the columns change width with the browser width? Also, this would be helpful with text boxes (like the one I am typing in now) so they fit in my browser window even when I don't have the page maximized. If nothing else, before I could click on "Post Reply" without scrolling, but now I have to scroll over to post my reply. It is a small thing but I can see it becoming more aggravating as time goes on.
Everything seems to load a lot faster. I'm neutral on the look, but it seems like it functions a lot better.

Onering's 4 simple steps that let you solve any problem with Magic's gameplay
Whether its blue players countering your spells, red players burning you out, or combo, if you have a problem with an aspect of Magic's gameplay, you can fix it!
Step 1: Identify the problem. What aspect of Magic don't you like? Step 2: Find out how others deal with the problem. How do players deal with this aspect of the game when they run into it? Step 3: Do what those players do. Step 4: No more problem. Bonus: You are now better at Magic. Enjoy those extra wins!

This has been in the works for some time, and it's time to preview the coming change!
There are a few things of note:
Plenty is planned, but this redesign comes first!
Same links, same spots, same way to do things.
It's just prettier now!
We had several different width layouts, and that also caused major headache.
I've attached some preview screenshots below!
