I'd like to get a little message when I'm quoted, thanked, or whatever.
Mostly quoted, though. Because then I don't have to repeatedly check every thread I post in.
Nai's right. If you look at the star in the upper right side, near your username, whenever there's a red bubble with a number in it, there's notifications that someone's responded to a thread you posted on!
I friggin love it!

I reckon you're right since Galspanic explained quite clearly that it is archived here and will be there as well. It's nobodies fault that Yomako skipped over the posts, seven pages is a lot to expect of somebody. Mocking other users falls squarely into "being a jerk." -Galspanic
Oh man, my Curse account name is legacymtgsalvationuser[5digit number].
How does this jive with the fact that I was already a curse member at the same e-mail address for WoW stuff? I hope this doesn't replace my old Curse user ID...
Edit: So, totally NOT complaining here but how/why did my USER profile picture get changed to the doctor and rose? Also, unlike some others, I like the new layout.
The explosion that... destroyed our city, razed our home, and turned our fields into wasteland was nothing compared to what was now happening to those who survived.
I'm having the same problem. It spins and spins and then just never goes to anything.
Odd, it works jsut fine in Opera...
Few more comments: Ignored users initially load, and don't disapear until the page fully loads, making their posts visible. Then, once the page does fully load there is no indication that the ignored user has posted *at all*. Most places this is fine, I suppose, but it can make the conversations read funny if you have no idea whether an ignored user has posted at all.

I believe that Curse are checking the various threads on both the beta and this main site. But could you stick this on the feedback thread over there to make sure they see it?

Note that Curse ID is different from MTGS username - you can still keep your MTGS username. For example, my Curse ID is the not-even-remotely-awkward SeneMTGSalvation, but my username is still Sene. By the way, your Curse ID will be created when you log on, it's not a lengthy process. Just log on, then choose your Curse ID, then choose whether you want to keep your old username or make a new one. And you're set!
What happens, for example, if someone *isn't* interested in getting a curse id? Does anything move to the new site (like their information currently stored in the MTGS database), or if they never sign up is there just nothing there except a post trail for a non-member?

You're already signed up. All of my emails now log in as Curse ID's. I never signed up for anything. I've never used a Curse site before in my life until now. I'm not sure why people weren't given the option of not signing up, maybe retiring from MTGS.

It's pretty invasive.
In what way? If they were sending you something, or advertising, or something along those lines I'd agree - but its purely a login name. It doesn't actually *do* anything...
Kaitscralt - I am sure that if you put in a request to the techs they could remove your curse account. For a vast majority of users, it will help with the transition.

I have officially moved to MTGNexus. I just wanted to let people know as my response time to salvation decks being bumped is very hit or miss.
I see no reason why, Sally has to change? It works great the way it is now, the real reason why is Curse wants it's name on the top corner of every page, and if this beta goes wide, I will leave this site.
my concern would be as it was when Curse first took this place over- Will the site tags change? This site is one of the few sites not blocked by my workplace web proxy.
I just clicked the beta link and it is indeed blocked. I imagine you'll lose quite a few more forum goers than just me, if the tags can't be fixed to mirror whatever this site uses to evade web proxies searching for 'games' or 'forums'.
This is a big problem for me, as well, considering I'm a Moderator and all. Please make sure this doesn't happen.

iPhone? If so, I'm guessing it's the same Safari problem.
I was gonna check it out with Mercury later today. I'll post something about it if I have problems with that, otherwise, I recommend you switch over - Safari's a garbage browser, especially on mobile devices.

Can we get rid of it except for specific things, like being quoted? As I said over there, I don't really care if someone posts in a thread I posted in unless they're responding to me/quoting me/it's Mafia.

Hmm, I've never visited any curse site nor the beta site, so I don't think I've signed up (even unintentionally) for anything. I'm more curious what happens if I don't. Does anything transfer over if I don't do anything or do I need to be proactive to actually prevent transfer?

Hey man, where you been?
It's all been transfered, I never visited any other Curse site before either, and just by putting my MTGS-registered email and my MTGS password, I already had a "reserved" Curse(d) ID.
We moved somewhere else.
@Gals: so it is a separate database then? I ask because there should be some SQL dumps somewhere if it is.
