Is this what Salvation has come to? While I have grown to find the FUBAR one hilarious, todays newest addition to the rotation is getting a little absurdly NSFW. Busty latinos? Really?
Doesn't really bother me as I have adblock on and only notice them on my phone, but I can only imagine that if people were using such things as their avatar then they'd probably get infracted. Maybe we could start paying a fee for a NSFW avatar?
Keep in mind that some or all of the advertising is targeted. You may be able to get rid of these ads by deleting tracking cookies or opting out from the advertising provider.
Are you suggesting that I am using my phone to look at busty latinos when I am not on Salvation?
Nah. Ad targeting technology has gotten quite good, but it still makes mistakes. It may, for example, have created a demographic profile of you based on the sites you visit and that advertiser may be targeting people in that demographic group. Or your data may be mixed with data from other people for various reasons.
I've seen the fubar one before, but not the "busty latino girls" ad. Oddly, I find myself more offended that they're not even bothering to use the right spelling there (should be "latina").
I believe Hannes can request that specific ads be removed from the site, or at least that's the case for banners with pop-ups, malware, etc.
I've basically had to install adblocking software to feel comfortable viewing this site with other people in the room, because of these very ads. I would rather they be removed.

I agree. They completely kill the SFW environment.
(flashy/annoying ones are stopped of course.)

And I see about 500 different ones, those are the only two who I would say have some questionable banners.
