Mishra does some pretty cool stuff too.
I also like wish cards, because why have 100 cards when you can have a theoretical 130?
I guess I'm putting infi combo and other mean things back in Sharuum. Someone last night decided to make sure I didn't win. So he and I both lost and honestly that kind of thing kinda pisses me off.
I've been trying to mess around with the 4 color generals, but man this is hard building a deck around a theme. Like I am a huge advocate for flavor/theme/tribal and what not. But the only deck i've felt like I've done well with, and this was on accident, was my Scion. Now I'm trying to make my dream 4 color combination deck and it's just not doing so well.

I know that feel man. Master Transmuter is my favorite card so Breya, Etherium Shaper is someone I've been very interested in. But it just isn't happening. Maybe you can help me with that one Lovely, you play lots of Sharuum.
Also, after 5+ years of playing EDH I finally realized that Nicol Bolas doesn't care about what kind of damage he deals. It isn't just combat damage. I just had my day ruined by Fire Whip and Freed From the Real.
Oh wow, Bolas really doesn't, does he? Well that's something...
As for Breya, I have some ideas for her. My take on a Breya deck would probably be one that looks to abuse Stations and Modules, plus some of the other interactions in those colors with an artifact theme (Spine of Ish Sah + Trading Post) to make a deck that does a lot of things once it has a boardstate.
However I also think Breya could be pretty good as an aggro or a Stax commander. If you can keep flickering Breya you can technically make a lot of mana with Ashnod's Altar so that's probably something to think about as well.
Master Transmuter relies on a strategy that wasn't terribly well supported in my Sharuum deck, so I ended up taking her out, but the strat is simple enough. The first half of the puzzle are small, cheap artifacts with ETB abilities, like Baleful Strix and Solemn Simulacrum. The second step is getting out your massive artifact threats. Blightsteel Colossus and the like. You have to have a good deal of card selection most of the time, or token production, so that you can get your big artifacts in your hand and your little ones on the field. You also probably want a fair deal of mana acceleration, so that you can cast Transmuter even earlier.
I could try and whip up a Breya Transmuter deck later today if you'd like to see it.
Also, we have mods in here, so really quick, can I link to tappedout decks in my sig or on site in general? I tend to update those a lot more than opening and maintaining a thread for each of my big EDH decks, though I suppose I can do that too (despite the fact that I'm not really looking for input they're just for people to see.)
My issue with Breya is that I don't want to build an artifact deck that just says WOAH LOOK AT ALL THESE ARTIFACTS!!! I don't know if I'm describing this well, but every artifact deck I build seems to do the same thing. I don't know. I don't play with anyone who plays these decks. Enlighten me. Haha.
On another note, a friend in our playgroup started something called a story challenge. (His words. Not mine.) You take a commander with some lore, and build a deck around them, but have that deck tell a story.
The one I made had Nissa, Vastwood Seer as the commander with the title, "Nissa Gets Mad and Ruins Everything"
It's just a bunch of ramp spells and Eldrazi because Nissa got mad and Summoned them instead. It's a fun deck.
Also, yeah, are we allowed to post tapped out links?
I have a deck like that with Teysa! It's Teysa with an Eldritch Eldrazi Cult! Also Pharika, which is Pharika's Snake-God Cult! And I was going to make a Damia one that was Damia's elf cult! Uhh... I s-swear I'm not culty or anything. W-want some punch?
Plays these decks, as in plays artifact decks? I mean, like it or not that's generally the strat that Master Transmuter uses, although it does it in a different way, mostly abusing ETB triggers. My Sharuum deck is somewhat similar. Runs a lot of artifacts in a control shell that wins through artifact combos or just because it has Magister Sphinx and a huge airforce.

Sig links are perfectly fine. Even solicitation-y links are generally ok as long as they're not obtuse/annoying.
As for decks, first look in the sub forum's rules (standard, modern, whatever) if they have any rules regarding them. It'd override anything I'm saying here.
In general, if it's just your deck, or just A deck, use [deck] tags here. Linking is an unnecessary link away that's impolite since you could easily just list the deck in thread. It's as much an issue of user consideration as anything. If it's an article you want to link to, or you're wanting to cover multiple decks, etc, linking is generally ok.
These are just general guidelines though.
Check in a sub's rule thread in case they have anything special.
Yeah! Thanks. I was mostly just asking about sig links, because I don't intend to make or maintain any new deck posts, and the ones I already had are likely archived and out of date at this point!
I'll be makin a sig here shortly, just gotta bust out GIMP and all.
@TheLovelyLamia That's the reason I find Breya so appealing (apart from the fact that she's the legend version of Master Transmuter) she has an abusable etc effect. But I mean what do you use to blink artifacts? Or do you just sac and recur them? Wait that's probably it... hmmm
You can sac and recur them, you can bounce them with Master Transmuter. If they're artifact creatures, you can get really really dirty and use Conjurer's Closet which is the source of literally nothing fair even, don't listen to anyone who tells you otherwise.
I think you'll get far with Breya if you set out with the idea of Saccing artifacts for fun and profit, and see what else comes up. But then again, I like decks that sac things for fun and profit (I mean, I've got Teysa, Pharika, and Sharuum after all!) so I'm a little biased there.
EDIT: There are probably enough thopters to make some sort of thopter tribal subtheme as well. Thopter Squadron comes to mind, as does Thopter Spy Network. Sharding Sphinx is the OG Spy Network, as well.
Well I've been screwing around with a Breya deck... and man, this might be a super lame excuse, but I really dislike 4 color manabases. I don't know if there's any winning for me on this one. I might just take the L and admit that Master Transmuter has escaped me yet again. One day... one day...
I don't like the four color manabases because Wave of Vitriol is rediculously prevalent in the format I play in. They also kinda rely on fetches which I don't have too many of, and you're forced to be slower than everyone else the vast majority of the time. It's the same reason I've taken Child of Alara and Merieke Ri Berit apart. Your mana is less consistent and often slower than everyone else. The only deck I run that isn't mono colored or green based is Marchesa. And I run 6 variants of Wayfarer's Bauble in that because I love searching for basics. That can't happen in 4 colors because you need... 4 colors.
Breya is a bit tricky in that regard as well because you're fully non-green, so relying on artifacts is the way to go (which works nicely because you're using Breya)... but then the whole Wave of Vitriol problem doesn't help. Interestingly, my Horde of Notions deck actually does run ten basic lands (two of each kind), but then again that's also because it uses quite a few green cards that want you to find basics. (I don't have fetches, but I do have several shocklands and filterlands (need a few things that can activate Eldrazi Displacer), and also a few tri-lands and five vivid lands.)
Also, has PegasusBishop been practicing on the physical requirements for "being Aurora"?
I like this one.
Can we keep him dad?

Sure. If you stay here for a while and participate in the discussion and remind me again, I'll add you to the list.
Anything and everything. Such is the beauty of the format.
Playing EDH inside a volcano is not advised.
Playing EDH on top of a stove is also not advised.
Playing EDH in a plane is advised, though, as then your creatures will have flying, and Plummet will become more powerful.

If you want combo with Master Transmuter I believe Freed from the Real and Gilded Lotus will give you infi mana or ETB triggers. Or something like that.
