(And I realized that my "Everlasting Gobstopper" from last year also makes for a good Christmas tree ornament - since it doesn't use any glue or tape, it can easily be opened up for a string to be inserted, and it holds well.)

But the real question is: Is it edible?

You mean the ornament? Unfortunately not... I'm pretty sure the papers are of the unsweetened variety. Also, that thing has been thrown around quite a bit and thus has touched the floor a lot.

(And since it is actually Christmas Day, there's still the request of listening to my piano piece, at the bottom of my sig...)

from opening my secret santa present until today. Thank you very much Abby / Vligerdragon!
Just what I asked for, a painted mech. It goes well with my other mechs and matches my snow
camo lances very well. It is also a mech I didn't have, and a fast and powerful one at that!
Very cool! Enclosed is a picture of the new mech, it is on the bottom left. I put some of my
other mechs in there to show how well it matches the rest.

P.S. Kank gets bonus points for guessing the mech that is hiding behind the tree, it is a classic one!

Yay, more crafts! The painted mech looks... nearly indistinguishable from the others (as in, you can't tell it's painted unless you actually know what it should actually look like). Looks like it must have taken a while to paint that (really detailed).

So since Rhakee is MIA as usual... I'm going to have to bug him to see if he received... And if he is going to be sending me anything... Worse case scenario he doesn't reply at all and he's simply banned from participating in the future.

So... Christmas celebrations are definitely not over at our place. Relatives coming this week, so still probably busy with stuff.

@Bur: Understandable. I'll continue to make those, but since I like doing music things most, I still have to continue with some of those too.

I'd still like more people to answer my question above please. I'm fairly sure the others around here have a combined nonzero interest in music, but I'd like to know which interest people most here. And if there's any interest in music quizzes at all - that seems to have died out here (since my 100 Song Intro Rapid Fire series seems to have fallen into the problem of too many sequels, not enough good songs).

Thanks for the response Iso. Can't promise on destroying the cat photos though, because those seem to be my most popular things here (it almost feels like those attract more attention than my "actual" crafty things).

My papercrafts are usually popular too, but I wouldn't say those are the things I consider my most specialized work. My music-related things are my most major works, and I also listed "other quizzes" as an option because those are still things I make somewhat frequently, but I have no idea how many people here are actually playing or listening to them because hardly anyone comments on them. (Also, both actual answers so far were from visitors - are the [Crafters] actually that uninterested?)

Still would like more answers on this if possible - because this is one place where I "need" real feedback.


I will still leave that link in my sig until January 2nd, because the source material of that piece also mentions a Happy New Year, so it's not fully out of date yet.

In fairness, I hadn't heard at least half of those songs before, and there were a good chunk I had heard but didn't know the name or artist of.

That quiz was a bit of a throwaway quiz - I just tried to find a way to make the intended format work, but this is of course probably not an ideal way of doing it. What I wanted to happen is that you have to click on things in alphabetical order, but in a way that you don't immediately lose if you get one wrong.
