Is he even that good in this format? I would imagine he'd be a brainstorm for 2 or 3 turns. When i used my friend's deck which had jtms, i found that all i was using was his brainstorm.
Fateseal is pretty relevant if you think about Tunnel Vision spells and the like. But yes, versatility is key in EDH and a planeswalker with four very relevant abilities, he is probably going to be a force to be reckoned with in this format.

You say this like Brainstorming every turn is a bad thing... I'm never sad to see Jace when he pops up.

He is good, but nowhere near as good as he was in Type 2. When I owned 4 I tried him in some EDH decks and he always got cut for other things, but that isn't to say he is bad... He just didn't fit the deck.
I thought the point of EDH was to get your money (or mana) in on every spell. Creatures with abilities that rock are basically walking spells. Planeswalkers are multiple spells on a stick. I can't think of a single planswalker with an irrelevant ability in EDH (ESPECIALLY when put in a deck that makes practical use of it's abilities).
It's enables deck rigging, Oracle of Mul Daya/Future Sight style
It cuts back combo pieces into your library, and hides cards from discard effects
It's pusdo removal/tempoing annoying creature
It interacts with your own creatures to net more ETB effects
It fateseals
Hiliarious after a Nev Disk goes boom (probally the best pwer, alongside AJ Ven on an empty board)
Its a wincon
All of these are very much relavant for EDH. I don't know what decks your playing him in...but i can think of amazing uses/synergy for every colour besides Red...all of those things i have done
Given up magic because a)its a waste of money b)it sucks the joy out of life c)im doing more interesting things than tapping pieces of plastic that have no intrinsic value.
I encourage you to do the same. Instead of FNM try Friday Night Something Spontaneous. Instead of thousands of hours and dollars on plastic imagine it with a significant other or friends sharing something meaningful. I randomly typed a new password, so bon voyage itches i encourage you to follow suit! Cheers

Through me the way to the suffering city; Through me the everlasting pain; Through me the way that runs among the Lost. Abandon all hope - You Who Enter Here.
My opionion:
He's good, not great. Free brainstorms and a combat target other than you has enough value in a 4cmc card. The bounce can come in handy, especially if you're running a lot of etb/ltb effect creatures.
And as someone mentioned, he combos with Tunnel Vision.
He's just not nearly as good in edh as other formats.
True if you're intending to use it for group hug. But in a multi-player setting, the CA swing is quite large in your opponent's favor which I'm disinclined to grant.

IDK, everyone in my group just does the +1 and is happy.
We tend to not to as degenerate stuff (rarely any combos), though.
What in God's green earth is pusdo? A pseudo-word?
Anyways: I've never really liked planeswalkers in EDH, granted I've never ran JTMS, they just always seem so clunky to me. Perhaps Jace 2.0 is just that good though. Try it out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You know my friend stated something on facebook tonight. "In other news: JTMS is back up to $80 as people remember: 'Oh yeah, he's still played in every other format' "
Although he's incorrect (I keep finding him for $65), he still makes a valid point. Jace ain't cheep and it ain't for nothin. Maybe we can say he's just "good" in EDH or even "not great" but I'd rather err on the side of caution on this one and go with the price tag.
"JACE IS AMAZING" until other wise noted or banned.

I saw a Jace for $60 at my LGS tonight. So he is still slowly dropping little by little. He's still worth every penny if you plan to use him a lot, though; few cards can get that much utility out of that little mana cost. But that's the thing... it's mostly utility (and a wincon if you keep him up that long). Leaning on him is dumb, as is the case with most cards in EDH, unless you can get him out with certainty.

I dunno, I still seem to get along okay with Jace Classic's +2 going off repeatedly and never milling anyone. Then again, Consecrated Sphinx turns his +2 into something ridiculous.

Miss Liliana Vess and her tutor ability and better twilights call ability for example.
