The idea is to control oponnents attacks with assassins, simply not allowing them to attack, or to cause them to tap to eliminate them immediately. the weakness i see here is creatures with shroud, which would be were the gatekeeper of malakir comes in handy, to force them to sacrifice the cards that I simply cannot target-kill. Another weakness I saw was mass removal since all the creatures are pretty weak, this is why counters are included. Another weakness i can see is all the creatures arent very strong, im trying to determine if they ca n get enough through to win the game, what are your thoughts on that?
edit: im thinking some sort of boost on the nighthawk vampire, he seems like finisher potential, so maybe acouple artifacts or enchantments that would boost him a little
I like the familiars Ruse a lot, that does work very well with gatekeeper, cause i was thinking of adding a couple innocent blood, but familiars ruse might be pretty nice for that. yeah i would remove 1 cancel for it. I like the traumatize for the Vess ultimate. Traumatize their deck and take all their creatures that were put into it.
I would consider bounty hunters in here as well as they combo good with the fatestitcher. Also, running sleight of minds in the sideboard might be good when going against people with lots of protection from black or even against other black players.
I can see the allure of Traumatize, but in this deck it does nothing on its own. Then if you get the second piece of that combo, it still does nothing for 3 turns. Plus you'd be gambling that your opponent won't benefit from the mill unless you hold it until Liliana's ultimate is active. My playgroup may have me scarred, but outside of Limited I've only seen Traumatize played targeting the caster.
The deck I am making now is replacing my deck that uses cards like the ones you mentioned. The deck that you mention I had perfected, but with the way newer cards are now its very difficult to win using only those. So I am going with the same theme, only modernized, and im really excited to try it out
as for the traumatize, the traumatize is staying, it WILL be used the same turn that vess' ultimate can be triggered, thats just so crippling to an opponent for them to see that happen to them, so the diabolic tutors will be saved for vess, and vess will get me my traumatize, or another diabolic tutor will get me my traumatize.
Really the only thing now I am trying to plug in here, is some boosters for my vampire nighthawk, this card will more than likely be a finisher, so I want to make sure he has at least +2 or +3, and probably be equipment, so I can bring it out and move it between creatures that it will help out. Are there any equipment that accomplishes thsi with maybe 0 equip cost?
that does look really nice, im going to definitely fit that in there, any other ideas for equipment for it?
edit: what happens if the equipment changes creatures? like lets say it earns 4 counters from being on a royal assassin, then when nighthawk comes out, i switch it over, do the counters transfer? and if they do transfer, do they DOUBLE since they are going to a vampire?
i would use alluring siren if i were running a vampire like sengir vampire, i use alluring siren to force a weenie to attack and feed it to vampire, but alluring siren does nothing but simply forces them to attack (for the assassin combo) but i have 8 other cards that already do that
I totaled it all up, comes to about 130 for the deck + sideboard, ill order soon, but any final ideas? any other cards you guys know of worth concidering?
