MTG Salvation

we had our first 6 man casual game and i came to the sad realization that i only have 1 deck that can stand up in a free for all game with 5 opponants... so i want to build a deck w/ Clone's and Dopplegangers and loads of copy creatures, enchantments, and artis... yada yada.. any advice? or a good card listing to start with? i need a win strategy as well.. im not sure what yet, but i know copying everyone elses creatures, abilities, etc.. would be fun!

This can be done in two ways, one is take all of one (or many) of your opponents stuff or use all the clones out there in one deck.

So go U/R, U/R/b so you can play Dimir Doppelganger, or U/R/g so you can put in Experiment Kraj and Cytoshape.

Now for the best card for this kind of deck: Soul Foundry and put something like Clone on it means you pay and get a copy of anything in play. One thing about this is that it'll stop people from playing things like legends and 11/11s (Note that this is good)

Next best thing: Isochron Scepter with Twincast or Fork for you get to copy anything you want. Same as Soul Foundry+Clone, no one wants to cost their game winning card when you can copy it. (Note that this is also good)

Mizzium Transreliquat does the same thing by it's self for artifacts

Ok I miss some of good copy cards:

Vesuva is a good one, it's even better if you face a lot of old land cards that could do some messed up stuff

Reversal of Fortune this card cost a lot and can be a dead card a lot

Cytoshape a one turn clone can make that 11/11 trample a 0/1 bird

Djinn Illuminatus can be great with cards like Twincast, they play fireball for 20 and you copy it 3 times

And one that I hit myself for forgetting even if I was half awake: Spelljack! It costs a bit but I love this card. It's not a copy card, it's a take card but it's still great.

What are some good low cost creatures i can put in here for the start of the game so far the 1U Riptide mangler is the only low cost creature i have...

What do you think about this here? It is currently 59 cards i think i might drop the shapeshifter's marrow all together to make room for some cheap 1-2 mana cost flyers or something.. Would Aether Spellbomb or Crystal Shard be good cards to add in place of something spellbomb allows me to draw if im having trouble getting the cards i need.. and crystal shard is cheaper than Isochron... I think i might add a Sun Droplet because in a 3 player game or more it can be a life saver...

I would also consider some mana acceleration, since you have to spend a lot of mana doing your copying tricks.

You probably want to play Vesuva also, Considering its not too uncommon for the stuff you will want to copy to have an off color activation cost. I would take out the boomerangs for 2 more twincast, and another 2 copy artifacts. You want to beable to copy your Soul Foundry.

Dance of Many A bit wonky, but it'll do nicely. Only costs :symu::symu:. Most folks have completely forgotten about this card.

Ditto for Legacy's Allure. After a few turns, it becomes something they have to constantly consider... Doesn't copy per se, but it might find a place in this deck. Also only costs :symu::symu:

Shape Stealer can be good, it stops people from attack with their fatties.

Use Artifact land so you can Copy Artifact on the land and Izzet Boilerworks or a liar land to put it back in your hand if you have something better to copy later. (thank Finn for that combo) Also only use Vesuva if you see a lot of good lands being played (it's a good mana fix card too)

shape stealer is nice for the early game i will probably add it!, i think i might change this deck to U + B and use Shapeshifter's Marrow to dump all the enemy creatures into the graveyard so i can copy them from the graveyard with body double and dimir shapeshifter....

Body Double and Dimir Doppelganger are great cards for the people that can sacrifice their own stuff when you play clone. Also good with shape stealer because when shape stealer blocks it's going to kill.

Also maybe add Terror for Isochron Scepter if you use black. (Or Fatal Blow/Devour in shadow if you face black decks a lot)

Also something fun with your Isochron Scepter and Boomerang is if you get it out turn 2 then turn three start popping a land each turn and they'll never have more then 3 land unless they put some into play with spells

The first version of the deck works well, but is very slow so i will soon try this version i think it might be faster...
Sideboarding Copy Enchantment due to the fact that in the 6 games i played this deck not a single person played a worthwhile enchantment lol... Adding Terror in its place.
